Dear All I am hosted CiC and have always upgraded from within the ACP without issue. The latest update is showing slightly differently and I am a little concerned as I have never seen the message before. When I start the upgrade I get a message saying "The following files have been modified on your installation. By continuing, the changes made will be lost." - and a loooooong list of files. Am I safe to continue or will I lose something?? Many thanks Bill

Hi has anyone implemented Google Analytics' User ID? I thought this would be easy to do as I could just use the ips4_member_id cookie but it's set to HttpOnly so I can read the value with GTM. How have you implemented it? Cheers

Quick question about ads. I'm trying to add multiple ads blocks with different advertisers but I'm having issues. Only the first 300x250 ad block seems to work (I put two ads in that one). but none of the rest are working. do I need to put all the ads in that one block for the side bar? i'd like to be able to have an ad, then some content like popular users, then more ads. All of them are enabled but i don't see the other ad block I set up. Is there a good add-on to help with these ads because this seems a bit confusing so far.

Last time there was a similar bug in the upgrader. Now I get to the FTP details and hit the button to download the update (in the Admin of course) and got this error below. The server is just fine and working like a champ. Something is buggy in the upgrader (latest upgrade just announced Version 4.1.17 of the IPS Community Suite) The www.gripboard.com page isn’t working www.gripboard.com is currently unable to handle this request. HTTP ERROR 500

Hello everyone, While trying to use the html editor for a rules page on my site, I have discovered that a paragraph in the editor and in the preview looks like a paragraph, but when it is put on the page, it stretches the sentences out into one line causing the page width to grow to massive size. Is there any work around for this? I also tried the text editor block but it does the same thing. Any help would be great!

Evening all! I just ran the upgrade, and this is the one thing I can't find reference to anywhere in the ACP. I'm probably missing something obvious, I know. I did add a new ban filter and it didn't translate over. If someone could let me know how this is supposed to work, I'll be most appreciative! Thanks! -Dev

So we're upgrading our site from 3.4.6 to IPS 4.1.17, I've done the upgrade on a test site and it's mostly gone ok, however we want to add Commerce to the new site but didn't have IP.Nexus before. So we've purchased it, Nexus shows under the license in ACP but how can we install the app? The application files and database tables all look to be there as part of the suite install but it doesn't show as an available application.

Hi, I was just wondering how you are approaching tracking user registrations with GA? The verification step is fine to track as it has a unique URL, but once they check their email and return the site the user gets redirected from a tracking URL to the homepage. Obviosuly due to the redirect I can't put any GA code on there as the page will redirect before the tag has fired. Cheers Alex

Hi, I added a few items to the breadcrumb code from within my theme. You can see it working perfectly in action at most pages (the code I added was for the social media follow buttons you can see in the upper right corner at most forum pages - www.cruisecrazies.com/forums/ and also the "Cruise Quotes" "Find a Cruise" text links below it. Working great. However for some reason this entire breadcrumb nav row and my custom edits are now repeating and also appearing at the footer globally on all my pages ... when you scroll to the bottom .. Hi, I have a big problem. After I duplicated my board an tested the upgrade from 3.4.7 -> 4.1.16.1 everything was fine. I further tested the 4.1.16.1 a whole week. No issues. So today I decided to upgrade my live board to the new version. The update process was fine. No errors were displayed. After upgrade process (3 hours), I logged in to the ACP. Everything looked great. But then suddenly there was a big problem with the layout. There is no layout. The board has over 2 Million posts und > 30.000 members. I do not know what to do know. Who can I rebuild the the theme? Thank you very much in advance! Mark

I cannot find a setting in the suite for "Maximum Upload size" so I'm assuming that the setting "Maximum image dimensions to save " will re-size the large images using the compression setting in "Image Settings" Can somebody confirm this?

I want people to let me send pictures and PDFs with the contact form. It that possible out of the box? Since there is no attachment option in the editor of the contact form, I set up an attachment field as custom support field, but … when routing the general contact form to a support ticket, the custom support fields are not picked up. when linking the support form directly from the menu manager, it is not accessible for guests, but I would need that. So is that the way it is or is there a simple solution I overlooked?
