Hello, I installed few days ago on localhost 1 copy for editing. and now im trying to install another dev copy on stable server and it gave me an error: A test installation has already been activated for this license key. Your license key entitles you to one test installation only. Any suggestion on it to solve?

I've been using PHP to send emails from my forum, but have been using a gmail address. For some reason this stopped working around the 7th December. To complicate matters, I don't have access to the server, as it's paid for by someone else, and she lets me host my forum on it. I have tried the support team, and they're having problems working out what's wrong. They have advised me to use SMTP instead.. but I have tried every combination of settings for this, and nothing seems to work. Can anyone tell me which SMTP settings should work please? Is it possible to delete a member with no content in bulk? I have a huge membership database that I need to purge. I converted my mybb site over to IPB. At the time, I had a download section that required a member to register to access the downloads. People just signed up to get the file. I need to delete those accounts that have zero content.

If I set my [board url] to www.MySite.com -- the site doesn't load. But if I set it to simply MySite.com ... it works great. Ideas on why this might be? Related: if I type in www.mysite.com to a browser, it redirects to mysite.com. Thoughts?

As the title says, is there a way of preventing individual articles (or records, items or whatever one calls them) from inheriting the blocks I've added to the page where they are displayed as links or thumbnails? What I mean is when I open an article, I'd like it to take the full page without sidebar/blocks. It looks like it's normal IPS behaviour across the board though, as I notice the same happens to Activity streams; if I add blocks to one of them, the other streams get the same blocks too. But just wondering if there's a way of avoiding this, particularly when it comes to Pages.

Hi Community Friends! I wanted to get some feedback from those of you who use IPS Connect. I want to make one of my sites a slave to my main site. The slave site will have more users in it's database than the master site. Will this be a problem? Will users be able to sign in to each site across the network? Also, do the sites need to be on the same domain in order for the SSO feature to work? (ie. site.com - subdomain.site.com) Finally, is it possible to have the "master" control all login/registrations instead of having slaves do this? Thanks for the help and feedback.

After removing themes from the 3rd party, in the core_global of the default theme, I see the templates created by the 3rd party theme. They have not been removed after removing this theme from my installation. I enabled a Designers'mode and removed these templates. After synchronize changes , these templates are restored to a default theme. Any idea how to remove these templates I appreciate. thanks

Im creating a new section on my website and just wanting to use the 5 most recent posts in a topic and display them like a news post. Just noticed Instagram embedding has stopped working on our forum. The link could not be embedded because an error occurred on www.instagram.com I couldn't find anything to suggest their API has changed recently. Anyone else? Running on 4.1.19.

Sometimes I click on the reply box at the bottom of a thread to expand it, and the WYSIWYG doesn't load, only the grey attachment area appears, like this: Anyone else ever have this? I can't recreate it on these boards so I'm wondering if it's something I broke, although I can't imagine how, I don't have any custom javascript.

Hello Community, I want to set up a way to give my members a bonus for certain actions they do like posting quality content, helping people or even giving them advice. Give them a credit if they earn reputation an, post a video in the videos plugin and similar actions. Potentially this even should be possible to exchange or "pay" people. Let's explain some situation: BadUser posts some bad posts Moderator1 see extremely bad post and give a warning with a posting restriction - 30 days Next, Moderator2 see old other bad post and give a second warning with a less posting restriction - 1 hour What we see after that? We see 1 day posting restriction and 30 days is gone away. In restriction list we see first and see date, when it's given and see time period for deactivate - 29 days. I have a landing page or Home Page, it has all it's own files already made, the js, fonts, css, all those folders that go with the page. How can I just upload them and set the main domain to point at this page then link to forums. I was in pages but i didn't see where to upload fonts and images all that just page html. I'm trying to upload all the files for the one page then use that page as my main page.

I have several members that have this option turned on in their profile and I even turned on for myself as well as my test member and yet no emails are being generated when a new forum topic is posted, can someone point me in the right direction on how I test this or what step I may be missing please? I Have setup the email settings (in settings - using smtp) and the Test email was sent just fine to me - so something is working, lol - but obviously I am missing a step somewhere. Appreciate it Eden

Can anybody tell me how to fix these problems and tighten up the spacing? I imagine that if I could set a default member title for those who have none and all new members, that would cure the double name. Just don't know how. I'd need to remove the membergroup text/line and lose a line of space above it. The location has no : or space after it. If I could just change the word and add a colon and space after it, that would be great. Longer locations would fit better with the shorter word too.

So I originally had my community installed in a subdirectory /forum/ but I wanna move it to my www root. What is the best way to do this, upload a fresh installation and use the existing database and reupload my theme and if possible, forum configuration? Or should I just copy the existing installation and move it over and modify the domain in conf_global? I'm assuming it's the second one but I wanna make sure.
