I am getting emails almost daily from folks inquiring about how to join my forum and I just realized there is no "Sign Up" button on the mobile app that is visible without clicking on the three bar icon. Does anybody know how to add an actual "Sign Up" button (not an icon) to the mobile nav bar? This would be for 4.2.9 for now. Thanks

I have just purchased the IPS suite and will be converting over from Xenforo. I have a dedicated server that has 6 domains of which 2 of them currently have XF installations. I am not a server admin person. I have installed a test copy of IPS and are seeing these 3 error notices in the IPS Dashboard: open_basedir not enabled The open_basedir PHP configuration option is not enabled, which may be a security risk on shared hosting environments. We recommend setting it to your webroot and temporary directory. If you do not manage your server yourself, your hosting provider will be able to assist with this. Dangerous PHP Functions Enabled …

Right now I'm using default theme, until I find one I like, but I want to change this: to remove the post-based group, and just show the "Spinosaurus" (Owner/Admin) rank. [Dinosaur style] How do I do so? I'm using the $20/mo cloud plan.

Guests can view the content of my forum through all activity on the top menu. Could someone point me in the right direction to disable guests from viewing the content of the forum. I cannot seem to find that one. Every hour the entire board goes out with this error message and only this: upstream sent unexpected FastCGI record: 3 while reading response header from upstream, client: xxxxx [info] 274#274: *326933 client 212.228.25.73 closed keepalive connection And I'm not sure exactly why this is happening, or if anyone has run into this issue before. I've disabled any custom extensions but I am unable to resolve this issue.

While doing some cleanup realize two folder throw lot of error while ClamAV scan them and complain of having too many files in excess of 12k files. While having a look inside, realize 90% files are dated from 2015-2017 and only 10% from 2018. Is it safe to delete those old files from 2015-2017...? cimage/cache/remote cimage/cache/

Hi guys, This morning I upgraded from 4.2.8 to 4.2.9 and now I feel that page refresh / reloads are slower than they used to. I cleared the forum cache and also my browser's cache, but still it seems a tad slower than on 4.2.8. Do others that upgraded to 4.2.9 have this issue? Chris

We recently updated to the 4.3 update, and due to changes to the platform we need to update our theme. We use the theme 'Villain' from IPSFocus, however whenever we upload the new theme we get the following error: I tried to also upload another theme (Mind) as a test however I got the same error. I confirmed the directory permissions are 777 for 'uploads', 'datastore', 'uploads/logs', 'plugins' and 'applications' as required in the initial installation process. Gif Example:

Well, a long time ago (IPB 3.*) i used AJAX pagination with gave a problem on the site. I turned it on because i heard the site should be faster. Because of the problems i disabled ajax. A few years later (today) i was clicking in the Theme settings and saw the setting: Use AJAX pagination? At the moment it is turned off, but before i turning it on i want to know at it really does. I search google, search the IPB community but its not clear. Is is better to turn on AJAX? Why should you do it, just the loading times or is there more? Hi does anyone know if it's possible to show custom text after someone has taken out a subscription? I am forcing users to view subscriptions during the registration process and have a free option, I'd like to show the benefits for them to upgrade if they take the free option.

Dear All I have a forum that is limited to a certain group of members. I want to grant one member, who isn't a member of that group, access to that forum but only have access to one topic, and not have access the other topics. I appreciate it is a somewhat bizarre request and I can't immediately think of a way of achieving it. The only way I can see is to create a private forum, just allow that one member access and then re-create the topic I want him to see. Can anyone think of a more elegant way of achieving my aim? I am certain this is a misconfiguration on my part, as this issue does NOT happen with the Default theme template in 4.3. However, I made customizations to the default theme from 4.2.7 and as of the update to 4.3, my search fields all appear this way: with the search options, sans their background, constantly popped out. This happens on both my customized Dark and Light themes, but again does not occur on the included default, so I assume the mistake is mine. Has anyone seen this before? Do i have something in elSearchWrapper or elSearch toggled incorrectly?

I can create tasks as part of an application under the tasks tab. I've got it set up to run weekly and it works fine on that basis. However I want to specify when in the week it runs - say Tuesday. This should be possible as a normal cron job (thanks, Wiki!): How can I (can I?) set up a weekly task in an IPB app that will always run on Tuesday morning, for example.

I just looked and 4.3 is the stable and no mention of 4.2.9 is there. I'm not however getting any update for 4.3 in my acp. After checking "applications" then "Check for updates" I get no notification either. Kind Regards

so i have a block that is a nav bar that will just display a category like https://invisioncommunity.com/forums/forum/307-community-led-resources/ i am trying to figure out how to make the nav bar sticky so when they click on that button / tab after it redirects to the url the button becomes the active one ?
