Hi, I set a support forum to Type: Questions and have the permission matrix for Guests set to See Forum and Read Question. But a spam bot overnight showed me that the Guest can post a question even if the permission says they can't. I even tested it out in private mode in my browser. Thoughts?

Hi everybody. We have this issue in our community, spotted by one of our members, whenever a notification number appears it disappears right away (in a second approx.). This doesn't happen every time, so it is an intermittent bug, hard to reproduce and capture. Do you have any idea what could be causing it and the solution we may apply? thanks!

Hello, I have a question, in my forum, in the upper right corner, next to the search field, instead of showing Unread Content, "All Activities" appears, how do I change it to "Unread Content"? I take the opportunity to ask something else, can I create a filter within the "All Activities" page to filter, for example, who just joined the community, or who created a club, and similar things like that? Hi I have been getting the below error on my IP board dasboard " Maintenance Tasks Not Running Routine maintenance tasks are performed as users access the site but it looks like the traffic to your community is not sufficient to run these tasks on time. This will cause significant damage to your community if not resolved. It is recommended that you set up a cron or a web service so that these tasks can be run even when there isn't any traffic coming to your community. Hi everyone, We are currently integrating our custom Identity Provider service into an Invision Community. We have already registered and added a login client inside the "Login & Registration Methods" tab. We are using the Authorization Code flow to redirect our users on Sign In to our own Login page where they enter their credentials. After a successful login, they are redirected back to Invision Community with a valid authorization code added to the response including the state fields. Hello, Long story short, Sparkpost stopped working for a few days (CC was hacked and got blocked)... in the meantimes, almost every email address of my members were flagged as "disabled" and users see this: My sparkpost account is now re-established, but users still get this message and I see now way in the AdminCP to mass correct this??!? Hi, One of my moderators mistakenly flagged a user as a spammer. Once he realised the error he unflagged him and the user's content was manually restored. It seems that all content is in place except for the user's blog. The blog seems to have disappeared. There is no longer any blog tab in the user's profile. He no longer has the option to create entries and the only way to view the blog is via the direct link (https://www.mysite.com/blogs/blog/555-blog-name/). From the administrator panel, if I search for it (community > blogs) I find it correctly. I have also tried to become the blog owner, but again the blog in the user’s profile does not appear. …

I am currently having an issue with a bot that is creating 100's of accounts. It seems like there may be an issue with my Captcha, as it's not appearing (to me at least) on the create account page: https://www.celiac.com/register/ Currently I'm blocking IP's and adding more complex Question & Answer Challenges, which does appear to be working on my register page. Does anyone else have this issue, or have dealt with it in the past? The bot seems to be spoofing or quickly changing IP's, so using the IP block is like playing whack a mole...one I block a range they appear from another range.

Hello, How/where can I get a list of files purchased by q member? I can see invoices in their costumer’s ACP profile tab and invoice doesn’t mean a purchase. It also doesn’t show where it is from (Downloads, Commerce, any other 3rd-party resource, etc), unless you click to view it. I upgraded my self-hosted plan today and installed the forum files on my server, and I am getting this error. "An installation has already been activated for this license key. Your license key entitles you to one installation only. If you need to change the URL associated with your license, contact IPS technical support." My account is linked to my domain, which I am using, so I do not understand why I am getting this error. The forum key linked to this domain was taken down 2 years ago. How can I fix this asap because I cannot move forward with my install right now.

Hey guys...I just upgraded my forum to php8.2 and I did some maintenance on the php extensions, etc...I was also checking in to an excessive reoccurring error in my error logs, but how do I fix it? {Removed by IPS staff} for access to the graphs proving that my indexes just completely disappear. Every few weeks or so this will happen and I have to rebuild the entire elasticsearch index - the servers are not crashing, there is no errant behavior and the elasticsearch nodes are firewalled off from any access outside of the server hosts, so no outside actor can drop these indexes maliciously.

I am using Amazon SeS SMTP, it only allows 14 emails per second. It seems like it sends 30 000 within two minutes... How can I fix that, or adjust it? Sending 30 000 within two minutes goes against every approach to avoid spam.

I have a cron setup via virtualmin on 3 sites, 2 are fine but one site has issues, my gaming site that is setup as far as i can tell exactly the same seems to have problems consistently running the maintenance task. I have had this problem on and off for a few months and cannot find a single thing wrong. I have removed and re-setup the cron multiple times, checked permissions on folders and files compared to the working sites, they are all the same. Hoping someone at invision will be able to take a look for me, I can see the systems cron log is working and that it shows, i'd share it here but since its public i'll wait until I can share logs etc securely 🙂

I have an item in my store that people are trying to purchase and get a message that they don't pass the security check. I am not sure what is causing this. I know the work around is that they need to create an account first then are able to complete the purchase. Any tips on what to do to get this fixed?

Hello, I've tried editing a group in order to enable the "Allow display name changes" option. I can do it for all groups but one : when I click the "Save" button it says it's been saved, but then members tell me the option is not enabled and so I have a look and notice the option is not enabled. So I try again and the same happens. What can be the reason for this ? Thank you, 🙂
