Hi there, we are still running a ip board 3.4.x and we want to migrate soon to 4.x Anyway we wanted to display cookie notices to the users in the old board and I downloaded Cookie Notice 3.0.5 and tried to install the hook. The installation gives no error message, but somehow the hook does not show up properly. See attached image. In the lower part of the attached image you can see (above the line "Contact form - Bottom link"), that there was a hook added today at 7:15, but there is no title and no fields filled, when you edit the properties. On the download page it said "Compatible: 4.2". Does that mean, that it is not downward compatible to 3.x? …

Hi, is there an easy way to show the ipb built-in cookie consent message also on non ipb-pages? We also have an external cms (wp) running and don't want to show another cookie consent which won't use the same setting-cookie. Thanks for any help.

Hi there, I'm migrating from IPS Connect (IPS 4.2.x) to OAuth (4.3.x). With IPS Connect, there was a field "ipsconnect_id" on the Members table to know on the slave installation to which member it was connected to on the master installation. I notice that this field is gone with IPS 4.3. So, how can we know, on the slave installation, to which member on the Master installation a member is connected to? Thank you!

Hello I am a new customer to IPB, not sure if i got it right. I am using page with category, so i put it into menu. I am trying use page function as wiki, so i prepared text for main page. If I open with link with record, i got full text. if i open with category link, my page lost format. Got this error message in acp (Connections to external websites are not working. This can cause problems with third party services. You should contact your hosting provider to ask for this problem to be resolved.), any ideas? My hoster can't tell me what's wrong based on this error message.

Guys, I am currently on IPS 4.1.19.4 and preparing to upgrade to IPS 4.3.3 this evening. I have already done the following: 1. Downloaded backup copies of my root folder AND database. 2. Downloaded IPS 4.3.x compatible versions of all my plugins What other housekeeping tasks should I do before starting the update process? Should I reset ALL templates to their stock versions, as well as disabling/uninstalling all plugins beforehand as well? Thanks for any suggestions and tips!

Hi! We have an issue in one of our forums, where on a post it fx. says "Written 31 minutes ago"(translated from Danish), but when you hover the same text with the mouse you get a date and time popup that is 2 hours ahead of the actual time in Denmark. So there seem to be a timezone issue. It seems like something that has occurred after having updating to one of the latest stable forum releases(4.3.0-4.3.2). I had the same kind of issue - the other day - when pulling a post's date using the REST-api. So I am using belugaCDN (awesome company) as my CDN provider. Is there a reason why NONE of the downloads files are not being served over CDN? I have set it up properly within the storage method but with no success. I also tried Amazon cloudfront and still, the files just refuse to cooperate. Anyone have any insight on this? ANY help is greatly appreciated. Been struggling with it for past few weeks.

Hi, I'm trying to figure out how to get social media to pull an image unique specific to each custom page .. versus just my site's logo that I specified in my theme's sharer logo setting. Tried inserting the meta property tags in the page html - But no luck and apparently those tags must be included in the header only. So, whats the workaround to make this possible?

I have a weekly subject that requires a staff member to start a thread every Monday, however, it is inevitable that we forget to do it. Can anyone suggest a means of setting up a reminder that would appear to staff only every Monday, I know it can be added to the Calendar but staff would need to physically click on the Calendar to see it, wouldn't they?

Hi there, We have contacted IPS support with no real resolution so thought I would see if anyone here might have any ideas. We have an issue on our forum where people will post images in their post (once), and it will get duplicated several times. (Example: https://cptdb.ca/topic/739-miway/?do=findComment&comment=800875) We suspect this is caused by an automated process, and think it is related to the concurrent Background Processes that are running, which take forever to complete. I wonder if there is a max file size when uploading a new file version via the downloads app? I have tried this with files of a size of ~10 MB and it was no problem. However when I try to upload a file of a size of ~3 GB, after clicking on the Save button all I get is a blank page. Instantly (no process at all). In the Browser it has the "?do=newVersion" at the end, but nothing happens. I am talking about this option: Has anybody made a similar experience? When I upload a new file (not just a new file version) via the same method, even files of a size of 5 GB (or more) are no problem. How can I upload a new file version?

After upgrading to 4.3 I noticed that profiles that have large cover images are VERY wide. (lots of scrolling needed) It's like the css no longer forces resize which used to allow profiles to look normal. Any one know how to fix? Nevermind, it's got to be some plugin. I just need to narrow it down to which one is causing the issue.

I changed the spacing in my Terms & Privacy Policy, but not any significant content. Now every registered member is getting a screen to confirm their agreement to our "new" TOS before accessing the site. How do I shut this off so members don't see this screen?

I can't seem to find any and what I tried so far isn't working for some unknown reason. I wanted to get AliPay, Google Pay & Apple Pay working on our community but I cannot find IPS documentation about this. Apple Pay have instructions provided by Stripe, but I get stuck at the part where I'm supposed to find the merchant ID on my account.

Hi fellows, after a migration from 3.4.9 to 4.2.7 all members have to agree the "changed" terms of use. They, i.e. the text, hasn't changed in fact - we just migrated from an old version. How can I remove that agree page or set it as agreed for all members? Thanks, Thomas

Can't seem to report a bug since the "Create" and "Bug in IPS4" is not working as there is no selection in the dropdown? So is IPS ever going to fix the emails that are sent out? Even the company email to upgrade to 4.2.9 is messed up see pic
