Before I submit a ticket ... I just upgraded our cloud community from 4.3.6 to 4.4.0 successfully 🙂 I set the "Display Mode" under "Configure Manifest Details" to the recommended "Standalone." Using Safari on iOS, it works as expected > add to home screen ... clicking on new icon opens up our community with the browser 'hidden' so it is very app like, nice! Using Firefox on Android, everything also works as expected 🙂 However ... using Chrome on Android, I can save the site to the home screen, but the icon just launches the exposed browser (with the correct theme/background color - so some info is getting through) as it did before. A user messaged me via the Contact Form indicating they've tried to register and keep getting blocked from doing so. Sure enough, the IPS Spam Defense logs have their email address listed as a level 4 "User is a known spammer" yet I Google their email address and get zero results. Is there somewhere I can check the email address for spam/blacklisting? I'm not sure if this is a legit user or truly a spammer. The fact that they messaged me after 4 attempts to register seems to be an unlikely spammer. FWIW, I did check on Stop Forum Spam and it seems like some level 4 blocks are listed there and some aren't. If I do some Googling, at least one user appears to be leg…

Hello, I am looking for a developer who is capable of creating a new plugin for me or fixing the current one. After updating to 4.4 everything was perfectly done except that on the bottom here: Who was online > You will see that the usernames are all the same color, and no rank icon is showing before the name. It should be showing the same way WHO'S ONLINE is showing for the names with rank group and color and text formatting. Paying via Paypal Looking forward to hear from you to make a quick deal 🙂

in the files it shows differing numbers? On the file it shows 43 downloads but on the icon it shows 87? Based on the "who downloaded" pop out it shows 5 pages the first 4 are 10 per page. Is there an indication if someone downloaded it twice, or something else not computing this properly?

It's been a few years since i messed with IPB. Renewed my license, got the latest package, uploaded it, but when i go to install it i get stuck at this error The compatibility checker and everything said all was fine. Hello, On 25th of february we've upgraded to v4.4, at first everything looked good, but I've noted recently that some of the posts don't show the date of their creation, nor of their edition. When I lookup in forums_posts I see fields that seem correctly filled (in columns post_date or edit_time). In fact it seems that only posts dated from the same day as the migration are concerned, more recent ones are OK, as well as older ones. What could cause such a strange behavior, and how could we fix it ?

I've recently come across a member whose "Last Visited" date in their profile hover card hasn't updated since 29 December, despite posting within the last day or two. This screenshot should tell the story: So, the hover card shows the incorrect last visited date, while immediately below it, the timestamp for this member's post is clearly shown as yesterday (give or take a few hours for timezone differences). I've yet to come across any others like this, but wouldn't be surprised if I do. Since first noticing this problem, I've run the 4.4 updater, and cleared the forum caches, both to no avail. Any ideas? Kev

Something has changed in 4.4 where bots are now showing up in the online users list AGAIN. Prior versions removed bots somehow from showing up. Now, this latest version has them as part of the online users list which makes zero sense. Was this a change made on purpose? Are others seeing the same? Makes ZERO sense to list a bot as an online user.

I am trying to restore and upgrade an old forum database of ours from 3.4.5 to 4.4. However, the upgrade file check won't let me move on because it wants me to have the files for the applications on the server, which i do not have. They aren't even included in the community download due to being addons. These apps weren't even enabled on the older database. There has to be an edit i can do in the database for it to not even ask for these files? Does anyone know? thx

We're currently running PHP 5.6 and MySQL 5.5 on IPB 4.3.6 We are planning to upgrade to the latest PHP/MySQL versions, pre upgrading to IPB 4.4. Will this cause any issues with our current IPB 4.3.6, or will it be seamless? Thanks in advance.

When customers are paying for access to my forum, IPS is sending the "shipping" parameter to paypal, and therefor, paypal is forcing users to submit their billing address. i understand that the billing address is used for anti fraud and such, but i feel that having the users submit their postal address will deter some users. How can i disable paypal from forcing users to submit their address when checking out on my site.

I am in the middle of my upgrade to 4.4 and I am stuck at System Check. Apparently I need to up the PHP memory from 32MB to 128MB. I don't have access to that and the admin is not available yet. Can I abandon the upgrade at this point or will it end up in disaster if I do?

Hello. I'm trying to customize some piece of javascript which I would like to put on my forum in a page. Hello {member_name} welcome on our forum Or maybe also the sitename variable. However, if I put this in the wysiwig editor in source code html, it will display exactly this and not the username. I also tried with: Hello {member_name|raw} welcome on our forum which had the same result. Somewhere else on the net I've seen somebody using %member_name% but that was for messages. In the mass email function {member_name} is used. How can I use the variables (and which) in the forum itself in a page or block like described above?
