i am using GTMetrix to check my page load times. i have run many reports at different times to compare results. the results indicate that many of my css files are taking ages to load. for example, this file https://mysite.com/uploads/css_built_2/76e62c573090645fb99a15a363d8620e_forums_responsive.css.3f5d41336180df20e4d5b94c41ed35f3.css?v=ad2da6e6cd it takes 2.64secoonds to load even though it has a filesize of 1.7kb similarly, this file https://mysite.com/uploads/javascript_global/root_framework.js.9a73297bec650e4a0c7b598c9548cf0f.js?v=ad2da6e6cd it takes almost 5 seconds to load a 84kb file. whereas, i h…

Hi guys. I can't seem to edit the calendar's date- and time format on the front-end, when users go to create an event. I've tried changing every setting I can find in the admin, and the locale, but no luck so far. Here you see what I mean: I am trying to change the date format from 9/27/2019 to 27/9/2019. Also, the time format from 4:00 PM to "16:00". Where can I do this? Thanks for any help, I hugely appreciate it.

I have run latest upgrade on my localhost. There were some issues, so I run the support tool and disabled all third parties applications and plugins. I have then checked the frontend and everything was OK. But I cannot get into ACP no more. I get the error: Obviously I cannot run support tool, if I cannot get into ACP. I have tried RECOVERY_MODE, no chance. I get the login screen for ACP and after sign in the error above. No page for ACP is accessible. The front end loads normal. Is it possible to allow people to right click copy images from the gallery? It would make for a really easy way to select a product type from a gallery block and paste it into a thread.

One thing I can't understand and perhaps someone can advise me on...for example my own site it takes roughly 2 hrs to go from IPS to XF including the rebuild of cache's etc but it takes over 12 hrs to go from XF to IPS. I have a pretty good and fast dedicated server I have tried a cron in cPanel to make it faster but it makes no difference than to manually run the rebuild in IPS. Just curious...

After upgrading to v4.4.3 from v4.4.1 I am no longer receiving email notifications for new registrations. I have confirmed the emails are being delivered for other notifications and tested email delivery. I have checked my settings in the Notification Settings. I am receiving the Notifications in the Administrator Notifications, just not the email. When I review the mail logs on the email server, an email delivery to the administrator does not appear to be listed; however an email entry to the new registrant is there. Is this a known problem?

Hi friends - I'm curious if there is a way to show thumbnail images on the activity stream directly? I believe this will help increase user engagement and the likely hood of someone clicking on a topic they might not have otherwise clicked on based on the user generated title alone. I see this a lot with respect to our stats on our mobile apps and wanted to see if we could implement something similar on the activity stream. I searched the archives of topics and market place but wasn't able to find anything relating specifically to this request. IPS includes the option to add your favicon, share & application image from within the ACP. No need to have the favicon uploaded to html directory. So we uploaded our favicon, we added our share image and we added our application image. However, upon reloading the forum, the favicon had changed from what we had in our html directory and had now uploaded via the ACP. The favicon in acp, remains as the correct favicon (caches cleared, refreshed etc.). The one on the left is wrong, it's taken this from applications, I removed the share image & favicon remained incorrect. I removed the application image and our favicon returned. Is…

Hey Everyone, I remember a past feature that allowed you to Globalize a topic to where it appeared in all forums. What ever happened to this feature and how can I make one topic appear in every forum without reposting it to every forum? I've got a few users that would prefer to go back to the old BBCode days of formatting their posts (they miss the Source button that allowed them to edit using BBCode). Obviously I can't give regular users access to the Source button and be allowed to edit HTML, and I came across this plugin button on the CKEditor site: https://ckeditor.com/cke4/addon/markdown Would that allow my users to write Markdown code, and when posted gets converted to HTML?

Hi all, I just reached out to this plugin's developer (Stuart) only moments ago but thought I would post this here in case any you may have the answer sooner. I am wondering if there is a way for users to change their "display names" themselves through Invision Board. Whenever I click on "change display name" when logged in as one of my dummy users, the page redirects to Wordpress/Memberpress. Is there a way around this? Thanks, Kaitlin

We have over 800 articles made with Pages. After upgrade from 3.4.X to 4.4.X IPS has changed the canonical URL of the articles. Old: http://example.com/database/category/article New: http://example.com/database/category/article/ But there is no redirect, both URLs serve the same content. We experience SEO difficulties serving same content under different URLs. How do we create a 301 redirect for the old URLs?

Hi. I'm wondering if someone could help me out with something. It's been a while since I last used/played with IPS and so many versions have come out since. On the older versions, there used to be an option to change the name of your admin directory and apply a .htaccess protected file to it so it would prompt anyone for a username and password for that directory. The problem I'm having is that I can't seem to find it on this newer version so I'm asking if anyone is able to show me how to do this still. Thank you.
