Hi everyone, I am converting my ipBoard 3.4 to 4.4. (self hosted). I have checked all settings, they script said they are fine, then I uploaded all files, then I started the /admin/update The automatic conversion to UTF-8 worked, but when it tries to fix the collations, the operation breaks and throws an error: "Specified key was too long; max key length is 1000 bytes File: /system/Db/Db.php Line: 198" Invision support tells me they can´t help me as they don´t support 3.4 anymore, only that it might be a problem with MySQL on my provider´s side. Hello!I have seen this done by other people but I just can't seem to figure it out!So I am currently trying to connect the database of the users on my Forum with a c# and c++ application.I know you can do this with things like phpMyAdmin and using their databaseSo I was wondering if you have any available tutorials or source codes that I could look at that would help me connect my forum member database to my C# and C++ Application, C++ Preferred.Thank you!And hopefully I can do this as it would be so great!

Hello guys, I'm trying to re-create how profile fields were on my 3.4.6 forum in the newest version. Now the new version has is all centered by default which it not always the best looking solution. Can you guys give me any tips. How to achieve what I described in the screenshot? First one is about where you check custom profile field options and other is how it looks in topic view, under avatar. Thank you!

When embedding a video it will show the preview as expected, however, when you hit post the video never loads as if it wasn't even there. I am self hosted on the latest vesion of IPB I am also using cloudflare. Any ideas? Is this a permissions issue? Is there some php setting that I need to enable?

Is there a place to change the colour of this; 'Existing User Sign In' - which appears top right on the main header? I'm setting our header to almost white, which then means we can't read this white text. I've found colour changes for almost everything else in the theme editor, bar this piece of text, or is it a button? either way can't locate where to change it! ?

I purchased a self-hosting Invision license yesterday and installed it on my current server. I then went to transfer my database from vBulletin to Invision, but my host won't allow it because it is over 1GB. Now I'm wishing I just signed up for the Cloud option with Invision. I contacted Invision because I figured they could just deactivate my self-hosted license and move me over to Cloud. But they said because I downloaded the software, they cant switch me from self-hosted to Cloud, unless I wanted to just waste the $300 I spent yesterday. Disappointing. It doesn't tell you where to put the Database file. Do you just put it on the same server as your Invision install and the converter app will find it? A video would go a long way if Invision were to want to help improve their instructions.

When selecting "search" from the IPS menu I'm taken to "Content Search". I'd like to create a menu option for members to select so that they are taken directly to the Member search instead. Here's a screen shot of the default search page. The member search tab is there. Is there a direct link that I can create a menu option to take members directly to member search?

Hi, I have some forum memberships setup as 'products' with a renewal term , they are handled by paypal with billing agreements. They are $15 per year but i want to increase to $20 per year. My question is , if i just go in and adjust the product price to $20 - how does this affect all the current members who have purchased? what happens when it comes to renewal for $20 but they have billing agreements for $15 - does the system break or paypal produce an error, Should i just create a new product for the $20 and then give people the option to upgrade from their existing membership $15 to this new one - does that create a new billing agreement or edit the e…

Anyway to increase the number here: https://invisioncommunity.com/leaderboard/ So it shows top 8 for example? I don't feel 4 is enough to encourage a bit of competition between the members. The forum index widget only shows 4 too, which would be nice to increase. Thanks in advance.

Good morning, being new I run into an error that doesnt tell me something: It seems to appear when someone tries to upload content. The group settings for member is unlimited, though there seems to be a limit of 511 MB? The upload fails. I run the board as a cloud service so I cannot check server settings - only ACP.
