    Hi Guys - I noticed today that I can't make changed to the sitemap.php settings without getting the error. "Please enter a valid URL for the sitemap.php file" The sitemap.php file is there and is working according to IPS support, but I can't make any changes to the settings. I also noticed Rewrite URLs gives me this error: "The rewriting does not seem to be working. This may be because you have not configured your server correctly, but may be a false error if your community is not generally accessible.     Large community conversion re-run product conversion

    All, I'm testing a rather large conversion from vBulletin 3.8.x and have encountered issues with the blog conversion. As it stands, it takes about 8 hours for our members, members history, etc. to finish converting before it gets to the blog conversion. I'm trying to fix the issue, but don't want to wait such a long time between attempts. Does anyone know of a way to rerun the conversion for the blogs area only without having start from scratch? I'm wondering if modifying the values in convert_app_sessions would allow me to restart from the blog import, or putting the site in development mode, etc. Please excuse the ignorance.     root_library.js execution time

    My default theme comes with a root_library.js script that takes something around 6000ms to execute. As you can imagine this is definitely not optimal. I've ran audits on the Invision Community and on this site the same script takes 1/6 of the time to execute and appears to be a "js.gz" file rather than a plain "js" file. Any idea how I would replicate this on my own community? All the info I can find is from 2010~ so I'm unsure if it's accurate and up to date. Honestly any info on how to cut the execution time of this script would be helpful since I'm not entirely sure how to fix it.

    If I change the Title Boost setting, should I recreate an index? Can I prioritize an app in the search? Example: we have articles with exact search term in the title, but these articles are displayed below the forum posts and entries that even do not contain searched term in the title. I would like to have articles first if they have exact match, as they contain everything to the searched term in a structured way.

    Custom pluralization in language strings?

    Short question: Can I add custom pluralization in language strings? If so, how? Example: (Yes, I am not talking about the following language string specifically - this is a general question) A language string says "%s has posted %s". Can I change it to "{# [1:A person has][?:Many people have]} posted %s"? Can this be done with any language string that just has "%s" in it, or does it require more? I did not find anything regarding this in the help section or I did not understand pluralization correctly. 🙂

    I'm trying to move a number of topics into a new sub forum by keyword. (Currently doing it one by one...) If I recall it used to be easy to moderate from the search results. Is it possible to do this in 4.x? If not is there a plugin available?

    Can't log in to ACP after moving to localhost

    Hi, I'm trying to move my old 3.4 version to localhost for archiving and some other purposes. I have moved it, updated paths in database. Any tips to make it browsable? Also I get constant 404 with links that are have fURLs. I'd like to turn them off but I can't get into ACP. 😄 The forum index page loads up, with many errors but loads nonetheless. ACP gives database error once I enter log in details and hit log in.     Huge fall in Google search index - Pl advise

    I see a huge fall in almost all of my communities For example Mechanical-engg.com use to have more then 100 K pages in search engine and as of today just 4000 I have veen running this community since 2007 The community has 140,000 members another community had 140,000 pages and now only 60 K links in google this is also dropping very fast ( www.Vidyasagar.Guru) This is an active community How should i diagnose it what are the factors to look into it I want to save my community ranking in google Regards Saurabh

    Invoice paid, but cannot be marked as paid

    Hi, a user has successfully paid invoice for the subscription but invoice is still pending in ACP. When I try to mark it as paid in ACP, I get the error Normally I use plugin Subscription Privacy by @Thomas.to disable billing address for the subscription. The issue above happens since I use a new payment gateway for Robokassa by @Kirill Gromov. Unfortunately their support site is offline now. Previous to this there has not been such issues. I have also disabled billing address in ACP: Is it because of the new payment gateway that requires billing address? Or is there any other settings that I have forgot? Thank you!

    Users are suddenly kicked out of the club

    Hi, we have strange issue on the site. Some members are suddenly kicked out from the closed and private clubs. They are members one day, and when they enter the site another day they are suddenly not a member and have to apply for the club membership again. This cannot be a handling error because: this happens too often to different users in different clubs this happens even to our staff (moderators) who are members of the club the members are not banned and do not get any other error.     Hi guys, I've already asked in the Chevereto Community but sadly without response, maybe not many IPS users are really active out there. After integrating in 4.7 the upload button is displayed, but the problem is nothing is inserted in the textfield at all. I can click the button, the popup opens, I upload my pics and then the popup closes, that's all. Tested on 2 completely different sites with the same default plugin code (one is a fresh test installation without any other modifications).     Hey Guys - I'm at the Google Webmaster Conference Product Summit at the Googleplex in Mountain View today. All the things being discussed for improving search results are overwhelming. It makes me think, whatever happened to just writing good content? Also, much of this is out of our control as users of IPS. For example, I can't change the markup surrounding images to better appear in image search results. I know IPS said the company had an SEO expert look at its product, but I hope someone from IPS is here as well. Many huge companies have reps here, talking to the product managers etc...     Impossible to remove a language bit in custom Stream phrase

    Hello, I'm trying to localize my forum and noticed that this word "in" is somewhat hardcoded into the IPS files because it cannot be translated in language manager and I think it causes a problem for every language that is not English. This can even be called as a bug and fixed in upcoming versions. However right now has anyone any clue how to remove this bit here when you have created a custom stream? the term for translating this part is steam_blurb_with_terms which is responsible for all that text.

    hi, I have had to set up custom stream filter for myself to exclude ONE forum I dont want to see topics from and I end up with this monstrosity every time I go to unread content. Same on my forum where I also hid one forum. And my forum has WAY more forums and subforums and a sidebar. The text mentioning all the forums where search is done is HUGE. Look real bad. Does IPS really have to display all of that? What if I had even more forum sections? Can a spoiler or show more link be added here to reveal the full list of forums the content is gathered from? I need suggestions to make this look acceptable. Hopefully IPS notices this and addresses that in newer vers…

    Targeting Homepage Only [Data... etc]

    I run the download module on my website and the "Downloads Index Page" is my homepage. I know I am supposed to be able to target different pages/sections with rules like: /* Hide title on home page */ [data-pageapp="downloads"][data-pagelocation="front"][data-pagemodule="downloads"][data-pagecontroller="browse"] .ipsPageHeader{display:none!important;} However the issue is that those properties on my homepage are exactly the same as my category pages domain.com/category/1-cars/ So how am I meant to target my Homepage only with those properties?     Context While reviewing my forum's data in Google Search Console, I noticed the visibility is dropping for several months now.     Possible to display second currency for Commerce?

    We're using a payment method set up as a custom coin. This is so users can go and purchase items using points (from Members Shop). If I try to add a "currency" under payment settings, it doesn't allow us to add our custom coin (which is found under "payment methods"). We'd like to be able to display this on the product pages. It displays on the checkout, but we'd like to hide the USD value on the checkout as we're only allowing the use of our coins for Commerce. In summary: 1. Display custom coin on product page. 2. Remove USD from checkout and product page as it already shows custom coin on checkout page. Are both of these possible?

    I'm having a considerable problem with spammers using IP.Board's message system to spam with links I'm concerned lead to malware. I've disabled most URLs site-wide. And I've put a message before all new URLs saying "[think before following links]", but they continue to try to get my members to go to URLs. (Even putting "virus free!" after the URL, like anyone would believe that.) On top of everything when you mark someone as a spammer I'm pretty sure the messages they've sent don't get disabled. I know when I actually delete their account their messages continue to exist in the `core_message_posts` table in MySQL (with the `msg_author_id` set to 0). It just feel…

    New Registration Error - help!

    Hi, I have someone who is trying to join my forum that received an error code (see attachment) when they tried to register. They use gmail, I already searched in my ACP for the e-mail address and it didn't come up. They said they tried to register from their Samsung phone and then from their Chromebook computer. We have a LOT of people (including myself) who use gmail and this is the first time we've had someone try to register and get this error code, which is 2S129/1. Any idea why they are getting this error and how to fix it? We've been using IPS for almost a year now and we definitely have registrations turned on. I'd like to get this fixed a.s.a.p!
