Hi all and happy new year. This is a kind of 'ask for a friend' post 😉, as it has nothing to do with my own server, but any help would be awesome! Thing is, I'm member on a site running IPS. Their (fancy) forum template does not support fluid layout. They choose to use a zillion sub and subsubboards. It does keep the topics organised, but it isn't helping 'reading' the site. My main interest are the new topics and opening posts, I can't really care about the majority of the replies. Is there a way to request topic-list or unread list, sorted on topic start dates (desc), without me opening and closing subboard per subboard? The unread/activity/stream pages s…

I'm not sure if this is by design or if it's a bug in the Our Picks Widget - see image below: The orange arrow points to the (what I call) move along button, but that's the issue it doesn't move along. In fact it does nothing lol. Any help would be appreciated.

We have guests and paid members on our system. When guests view the forums, we show them the post titles, but do not allow them to see the post bodies. This is from the setting: Forums > Edit Forum > Permissions > Users without read permission can open forum? This way we "entice" the guests to see the many topic posts, but they need to join in order to view the topics themselves. Is there a way to provide this behavior with search results? IOW, when a Guest searches for information, we can show them the Forum Topic Titles that are in the results, but trying to open those results presents them with the error/sign-on window saying they must be a me…

Hi. I created a custom database with only a little content in it. So I'd like to add them noindex, BUT the listings should be indexed. There are only 12 categories, so I can handle them hard-coded in the global-template. Hello, A few days ago the chart that shows how many users have registered was displayed in CST (Central Standard Time) and now they are shown in GMT... Any idea on why it was changed? No one has edited the SQL nor any backend files. With that said is there anyway to easily edit the default timezone without messing with MySQL? Worried we will mess something up. Thank you!

Hello, we have problem on our board. When you logged in incognigo mode (in normal view sometimes too) you can walk on site and everythink is ok. But when you click link to main forum page you see page for guest and you are redirected to logged version with param ct=... You can see that situation on movie I know when this parameter will be set, but we have problem with this from about 4 December

I have added an address field to the record and have enabled Google integration. If I choose Label: Value under Display View Format of the field, I can see the map. If I choose Custom and try to customize the output using {map} I cannot see the map. Can someone reproduce it?

Two main questions here. Is there a way to set that, when a new user is registered to the site, it also; Sends that user's name to an external database Creats a MD5 hash of the password they chose as the password assigned to that database Also, when setting up products, when an item is purchased, can we have it send that products identifier to an external database under the registered user?

hi, I ran into a problem that a very popular email service used widely in my country 10-15 years ago went defunct and ~10% om my members have registered using that email provider which went belly up. I obviously can't email them but for those who still visit I need to get their attention with a big message to update their email. So what I'm basically looking for is a template code in which I would enter the message text, but what I have no idea how to formulate the code for the condition. so something like if user email is *@deadprovider.com then show the message. can anyone help me out? 🙂

hi, I'm using this script which makes the sidebar to become sticky. Its very nice to have but on some pages the stuttering happens as you scroll down. I can't seem to resolve what causes it. This happens on firefox and chrome browsers. Hi everyone, I'm currently doing some housekeeping, and have noticed that there are a number of accounts that appear to be created by spammers that haven't been caught by the spam defence system, or were created before moving over to the invision platform. After searching for a selection of members, clicking on pruning tells me that the action will be performed to 0 accounts, and when I click on move members it only allows me to move to a new primary group, and not a secondary (which would be useful in future searches). Is it just me that this is happening with, or is there a known issue in the software that is being investigated?

Hi everyone, We are trying to remove some of the options within the user menu dropdown but can not seem to figure out nor find online how to edit the dropdown menu. We have tried looking throughout several css files but still can not get it to work. Hi peeps, Happy New Year :) I'm having an issue since 4.4.9.1 in regards to the mobile menu displaying off screen to the right when viewing in portrait. Landscape view seems ok. I thought it may be a theme issue but the default theme also has the issue. The website/forum seems to scale down to half of the screen after the 4.4.9.2 update which does make the menu fit on the screen but we have to deal with a half sized website. Is anyone else having this issue and know of a fix? Cheers

Hi Guys - My users brought this issue to my attention and I can reproduce it pretty easily. Firefox on Windows 10 From the activity stream click on the time and date of a post The next page loads, but it loads all the way at the bottom of the page, not the exact posts that should load. Clicking refresh on the page does nothing. Clicking in the URL / address bard and hitting enter, reloads the page and users are brought to the correct post in the topic.
