Hey there, I don't know if this is only happening to me. I see sometimes that the sidebar is "placing" slow. I don't know how to explain, my community starts placing only the content full width and then it "fixes" the sidebar to the right. This is a bit problematic sometimes as my automatic Ads system (adsense/ezoic) thinks they have the full with and creates an ad with full width, pushing the sidebar more than the 100% with of my webpage. Do you feel this issue?

One of my favorite features of IPS is the auto-save when writing a post and coming back to the whole "Your previous content has been restored" message. How does this actually work? Does it rely on a browser's cache and or cookies? Or is it literally saving it to the server? It works great for me, but not for some of my users. Before I take a deep dive into why it's not working for some users I was wondering if anyone actually already knows the answer.

A member pointed this out to me this morning and it's not something I had come across or considered before. Our /forums/uploads directory is browsable - along with the corresponding monthly subdirectories which are created by IPS. I wouldn't have thought it an issue, until the same member suggested that some of these images often contain sensitive information such as bank transfer details or account information. Is this a bug, or expected functionality?

I'm having an issue where some of my members (old and new) can't access my forum. They click the link in my membership and it just takes them to a login or change your password page. I use MemberPress and an SSO plugin. Guests are able to access the forum though. I can't figure out what to do.

My site is showing a "MySQL server has gone away" error, something I've never seen. Hello, I have a problem with ipsMenu. For the past two days, when calling a particular menu, it appears for a moment and then immediately redirects to a particular subpage. An example is trying to see a list of who gave a reaction in a post, or displaying a list of notifications/quick logins. Yeah, I know, 3.3.4 is super outdated and no longer supported and I'm an idiot for not upgrading sooner. By all means spend a few minutes laughing at me. 🙂 My music-based community has been online for over 17 years and we're self hosted. We started out on IPB 1.3, and upgraded to 3.3.4. Certain things no longer work (View New Content and searches -- both time out) or never worked at all (IP address searches for members from the admin CP -- white screen). Hi Invision, After the update last 4.6.11, we get a guest profile creation every minute from 1 IP. This IP is used by a moderator, but is not active the whole day. So we can't block this ip. But how can it be that this guest profiles are created every minute? We don't use social login at the moment. https://bit.ly/3tqk7fA The profiles are temp in the AdminCp. Hi, Today we came across a very weird behavior. We turned off copying and pasting of rich text (Paste Behavior: Always paste as plain text), yet one user was able to post the particular rich text I reproduce below both in the title and in the post itself. I have no clue on how this particular string is being able to bypass this setting. Note: I disabled all apps and plugins, disabled CloudFlare, and used the default, unmodifed theme, at no avail. I've been fighting with this for the last two days. I haven't POSTED since the early 2000s and I'm sure the solution is obvious, so I'm asking for help. I'm trying to post a record to a custom database. My URI is https://my.site/api/cms/records/10 The documentation states "Field values. Keys should be the field ID, and the value should be the value. I just have a simple question. Guests go click on subscriptions and it creates an invoice that is pending with absolutely no contact information. I click 'cancel' since if I click on 'delete' I get a warning message to cancel before I delete, so I do that, cancel then delete. What is the issue if I just delete and not cancel? And is there anyway to reduce the number of these bogus guest subscriptions that do nothing but take up time to delete? Any ideas?

We just upgraded to Version 4.6.12.1 from 3.3.4. Most things are working good except for one thing -- the disk space on our server had exploded from 40GB for the old board to now 80GB. We just watched the disk capacity rise from 73GB to 80GB in the span of 12 hours, filling up our 80GB drive and crashing the board. We cleared a little space and restarted the board, but we're seeing a steady rise again. From 95% capacity to 97% in just three hours. We do not allow content uploading on the board except for profile pictures, most of which were imported from the old board. Obviously a message board shouldn't need that much disk space. Good day, I am having a problem with the primary and secondary groups. Maybe I am doing things wrong, but I am trying to understand it. I just had a member who had purchased product A and was moved to the primary group A. A member rarely buys a second membership, but he did. So the purchase moved the member to user group B and removed access to primary group A. What do I do when I have several products that move users to a different primary group? We recently installed the Google Review widget in a few places and it's showing all text underlined. Reported to the developer and he is saying that it's coming from an IPS style setting. I have a few products that has made several thousand sales. When I am trying to update it, so it would update all existing purchases with a new user goup.. It seems like it only does the first 15 000 members, after that it seems to change 1 every 10-15 second, which makes it really slow and unusable. Could this be fixed?

Hi, I am having issues since ugrading to 4.6.12.1. When posting new messages sometimes it's instant, sometimes it takes somewhere from 5 to 16 seconds. Since I also upgraded the OS (Debian 11 bullseye, as I do every month) I can not be 100% sure it's the Invision community upgrade. I have checked all /var/log/* for errors, enabled the mysql slow query log, but nothing suspicious. Anobody having similar issues, or maybe someone has some pointers on what to check next?
