Hi, is it possible with an Invision community forum to "softly" posts or topics rather than permanently delete them? In particular, how do I restrict the power of the moderating team to fully delete posts. It's not that I don't trust them – I'm just worried about accidents. I would like to be able to configure the moderating team simply to "hide" posts – "unapprove them" but not be able to permanently delete them. Sorry, I should have posted this question here https://invisioncommunity.com/forums/forum/505-product-guidance/ I'd be grateful if it could be moved.

I have created a test site on an intrAnet. The site is slow loading pages, I assume its calling for external resources first, then times out and goes to the directed page. My question is, what settings do I need to adjust for the site being on an intranet setting? I have disabled Check IP address when validating session. I see it looking up fonts with googleapis, so I know there are other settings I need to find.

Hey guys I have a lot of data in a WordPress blog and wanted to transfer it over to invision forums. I can use the conversion tool to get all the members perfectly but I see no way to get the blog posts over - is this possible? Surely the structures are very similar as blog posts and comments directly relate to topics and posts in a forum. If I had to, I don't mind using a midway conversion to another forum and then to invision - but I've been searching and can not find anything. Any assistance would be most gratefully received.

Why on earth can’t I see a list of ALL files regardless of sub category? Instead randomly see 8 files out of 1000+ I need a way to see all so I can sort by most recent regardless of sub categories User clicks a thing that says 1,526 and gets 8! Lol Should get all 1,526 files then be able to drill down to sub categories if they want to filter it more

I noticed a little while back you can view Downloads and Gallery indexes as categories rather than in their default images (is this the correct terminology?) view. This can be done by appending "categories/" to the end of the URL. Question is, how to make the category view the default view? Is a category view possible within Blogs? I attempted to append "categories/" to the Blogs URL without success. Ted.

Is there a way to allow forum registrants to "save" their registration and return to complete it later? For example, on our product forums, we require all registered users to input their serial number as a way to determine which product forum they belong on (and also to verify that they are indeed a customer), But when they're registering, they don't always have their serial number handy and they would like to have the ability to complete their registration at some point in the future. Is this possible, and if so, how? Thank you in advance!

1. Is there any possibility to omit the confirmation of policy, rules, terms and whatever else after user registration? But still have a policy link at the bottom? Have already figured it out. There is no page, just links. 2. And how to wipe out the reconfirming for policy, rules or terms for the registered user? I have changed it twice, first time I have accidentally selected to re-confirm. Now I have just deleted anything from terms (last editor field on the policy page in ACP) and have selected NOT to re-confirm but the users still have to confirm the empty terms, rules or policy (I am not sure what is shown there).

Hello. I've got a user promotion (to another group) set up, but then it seems this promotion is not always executed, which I find odd, but oke. I've read this somewhere: Maybe it's a better feature to change this that this is just run like other mainenance jobs via cron or when users visit the forums. Anyway, the promotion is set up to promote all users which registered x days ago (for example 10 days ago) to another usergroup. And nothing happens, because a lot of those users don't visit very often. Now I read that this could be fixed by doing a recount on the usergroup which this promotion was applicable to. Here's something that I've had happen a couple of times in the past, and logging in to my website this morning I find it's happened again: I go to the admin signin page, and find that the Invision logo is missing from above the Display Name or Email Address and Password fields. I can still sign in without problems. There are other images missing from the default theme as well: in particular, the default Guest placeholder image on the Who's Online page (yoursite.com/online). This is the only other missing image AFAIK but I haven't looked closely at every page. I use a custom theme so this doesn't directly affect me, but it annoys me because 1) I don't know…

Hi all! Attempting to build a Characters Page in the Pages application with several custom fields such as Name, Age, etc. etc. There is an Upload for reference sheets and other character images (multiple upload allowed). However, the issue comes in displaying these uploads as images. The default Display options only display the multiple uploads as URLs, and I'm not versed enough in php and template logic to create something akin to the "new images" block for the gallery which would be a great way to display something like this. Can anyone recommend a way to accomplish this? Is there already a plugin or application for this? Cheers, Alex

Under content user group settings, there is Require approval before content shows? setting. Question, if I change this to 1 approved item, how will it affect current registrations for members that have not submitted any content and more importantly all members that have already submitted content that did not go through an approval stage before this setting was turned on. I would hate to get a bunch of posts to approve, but would like to turn on the setting for anyone posting for the first time to manually approve.

Can someone help me understand how downloads app inside of a club works? What if the club owner wants to allow club members to sell content via downloads? Who gets a cut? Can the club owner sell content video downloads? I am very confused on the whole thing. Can someone please explain. Thank you

We use the "flag as spammer" function to ban users. Does that automatically ban their IP addresses too? Is there some other way we should be doing this? We have discovered that a user who was banned is coming back on the same IP with a different username and email address. Thanks, jen

My host limits the sending of bulk emails to 200 within an hour, is there a way I can send a bulk email in batches? For example, send email to first 200 members, then maybe a few hours later send the same email to the next 200 members and so on...if not this might be a good feature to add in the future perhaps?
