I was trying to make a custom stream and have it show all forums except a select few but it's tedious if you have a lot of forums and there is no way to select all and then allow you to turn of one or two - it would be easier if we could pick entire categories and its children but that too is not an option.

Pages CMS missing an option that I believe everyone is using, and it's "Custom No Permission Error" like in forums setting. This option must have on database and categories separately. Please guys consider adding it.

I would like to have a global site sidebar option, where if enabled, the sidebar shows up everywhere its enabled to show. This way I can set widgets that I want to show up everyone in one place. On my site (https://tinybiggames.com) I have to set the same widgets in so many places and if I need to change something, I have to go to every location and make that change which get tedious. I've done this 3-5 times already today, arrrrrrrg. I guess something like a sidebar options page showing all the areas where a sidebar exists and you can tick if you want to use global sidebar everywhere or enable it for the specific one.

Each topic in my forum that has more than one page, including topics on this forum (which is 4.6 right?), throws multiple html errors due to the page having two instances of the keys used in the pagination, which are displayed at both the top and bottom of the topic. They only way I could correct those errors was to remove this code from the forums > front > topics > topic template. This is what scrolling topics with images in IPB looks like: (Tested with 1gbit/s internet connection <10ms latency) Why is this bad? Text + Images + Scrolling = Forum And this affects 3/3 of your product. (quickmath 😛) What i'm trying to say is that, new features are cool, we love them. But don't forget your roots, they need some love too. Reason for the scrolling/loading issues: IPB preloads the spacer.png file instead of the actual image, then it goes for the image itself. If you put a topic on post approval the wording should be different to when a single member is on post approval. With how it is it just leads to questions about why they are on post approval. The best solution would be to set a message as to why the topic is on post approval when enabling it, instead of using the default ‘Your content needs to be approved by a moderator’ which just makes out the member is in trouble.

I just discovered that every single forum (including closed moderator forums that people rotate in and out of and shouldn't have access to after they leave) had an RSS feed turned on. Now, I knew that Invision had an RSS feature. I had set up some RSS feed before and retrieved them. And I assumed (because I had no reason to think otherwise) that when I when to retrieve that RSS feed, and saw an addition RSS feed for the forum, that was just because all the forums I did that for were already publicly accessible so they also got an RSS feed by default. Some topics to moderate, which in my absence, users also write 30/40 posts, many users contacted me to ask myself why some posts I deleted have disappeared. Why not introduce a 'label', in which it is informed of the deleted post? Hi! It's an issue I'm having for a long time and it would be great if you'd do something about it. The problem is that downloads are promoted to the first page every time they are edited. If you don't want that to happen there's nothing you can do about it. If you want to change some text but don't want an item to update it's position it's very unfriendly. As with adding those items as hidden, this would only need a switch while editing which would let you choose if you want to update them or you just want to edit them without them being promoted to the first page of their category. So in the ACP there are a few settings that require you to download and then ftp SFTP your constants file to the server. Could there ever be a way that the ACP could do this automatically? Since upgrading the site we never really have to download and upload any more?!

Fluid mode is excellent, however on larger forums like my own with multiple levels deep the sidebar spans 2 page scrolls. An expandable [+] sign would be helpful with the ability to select if the parent category displays all the sub-categories, or if they're collapsed and only displayed once [+] is pressed.

Hi, Audio notifications were removed from the 4.6 series. My suggestion is to add it back, as our users are missing this feature. Maybe adding an option in the user's account so they can enable/disable it on an individual basis? Cheers.

I've read a lot of topics criticising the activity stream feature and I find it utterly unuserfriendly as well. What was the logic behind this change? It seems like a case where someone was trying to fix something that already worked and made it worse. Like Microsoft and the whole Windows 8 debacle. Activity stream may be useful for a low traffic board and works on Facebook where you only get certain "posts" in your stream. But what is the point of having an activity stream on a high traffic board? It's so clumsy at what it should be doing. Instead of letting you know which topics have new posts so you can get up to date, you face an endless stream of new posts …

I didn't like the badges from when I first saw them. Now that they've been in place for a while, they look even worse. Plus, I have no idea what their purpose is. I have not updated my sites yet, probably in a few weeks. I will definitely not be using the new badge system.

Hi! There's a function when adding an article or even a blog that allows to add them as hidden/not published. For some reason it's not the case when adding a download item and either you need to add it with full description or you need to publish it and then set hidden which is a strange way to handle content on someone's website. So it would be great to be able to add a file as hidden, just a tiny switch when adding a downloads item would be perfect. Thanks 😉
