  2. Hello, A better integration and visibility of the surveys would be great indeed! Why not make page more powerful and allow the creation of a multi-survey system like Google form via a database with several types of form fields? (Checkbox, free room, value, ect...) to collect the answers in the back with the possibility to integrate them in the topics via a javascript call? During our previous polls for the creation of a card game via the association, we had to redirect our community to vote via google form, which is a pity, since our Facebook/discord users are not the same, some would have certainly taken advantage of it to finally register 🙂 Kims
  3. Yes indeed, this is exactly what misled me, the images (and blog) strongly resemble your news system and this one is even called "blog" in the menu, which made me make the link between blog and this system, without thinking of page that we already use 🙂 P.S.: Google problem solved very quickly by Jim, thanks!
  4. This is a post on a forum that I had seen late, I was guided by the presentation page of Blog and it is rather explicit: I only found this information afterwards, hence my anger on this subject, the menu and presentation of IPB blog being ambiguous and the presentation strongly resembling it. Concerning the google problem, Marc contacted me, it seems that I let pass a mail from the report (or that it got lost on gmail), we'll see what it gives 🙂
  5. Hello, It took me a while to reply to the partial retro-pedaling of ipboard and after almost two months, I can say that I am even more dissatisfied than before. To have left the possibility to the community to pay in two times is a good thing, but personally, what bothered me the most, was the "disappearance" of the support and the increase of the price not announced, and especially for me, not justified since IPB pushes more and more towards its host service. The charge is going to be violent, but totally justified, as I'm starting to get "fed up" with invision's behavior these last months. The self-hosted client not being happy with the non support of Zappier, had as excuse at the beginning "we have a very specific configuration in cloud version", ended up being announced on this one. And as indicated on this topic, this one is simply not NGINX compatible, even though NGINX is now taking the lead over APACHE and is faster than it. Concerning SEO, I'm still waiting for the announcement of real improvements (webp conversion, javascript code rewriting, mobile improvement) and not a simple robot.txt (even if this one is appreciable and relieves at least this part). For the new "support", it is for me a disaster, first maj, I had to open a ticket on the forum for a security update that was proposed only through the support option of the admin panel (but why is there no notification as for other updates, we talk about SECURITY ????), as a result, I had time to identify the problem before getting an answer, good for me, you will say. Second ticket on the forum concerning the authentication via google, I am asked for identifiers to access my forum, the ticket is escalated to support, no more news since. Third ticket the same day, I buy ip.blog thinking that it is the system used by IPboard for its news system (after all, in the menu, there is well marked "blog") and the description of blog on the site shows these same news! Needing a system to go under google news, I see the potential to save a little time on development and well no, after purchase, I realize that it has nothing to do, they now use page to present the news and blogs is "abandoned" for some time. I send a message to @Marc Stridgen to ask for the refund of the module, I am then asked to create a ticket on the forum (we'll go back to privacy), I do it, before receiving this mail: I immediately challenged it, explaining the ambiguity, and have not heard back since. Short, I am asked to pay more without announcing it before, I am removed from the support by asking me to post on the forum even though all my requests are legitimate and escalated to the ops team, we are still waiting for real communication on what is currently problematic the referencing... And now, I am sold a product that does not conform at all to the description on the site (since the blog menu redirects to a system that uses IP.page without changing the description of the product presentation!) and that even seems to be totally abandoned, and they have the nerve to ask me to write my problem on the forum (to try to make me believe that IPB cares about its customers?) only to tell me "no" by e-mail without responding to my challenge after a week. What is the next step? We will have to pay to post a message on the official forum and pay at each monthly update the same price as the current subscription? Wake up and respect your customers!!!
  6. We would certainly accept this pricing policy (at least personally) if and only if our requests were taken into account regarding Ipboard. Starting with the most important one, the page loading speed and a mobile friendly version. Compare IPB to any other forum system, you will understand, the pages load much too slowly and this problem has been raised many times.
  7. Désolé d’être snippy, mais woltlab semble être devenu meilleur que vous et est beaucoup moins cher, nous envisageons de migrer vers eux.
  8. If I quote the $129 package, it's because the $49 package doesn't suit our needs, don't take your customers for beginners.
  9. You should really make politics, we pay our hosting 42€ per month with a plesk license that allows us to change your PHP in one click and that hosts other sites with medium traffic without difficulty. We would have no interest in switching to a proprietary cloud hosting at 129$ without any access to the machine and its configuration and without the possibility to install anything else from ipboard.
  11. It is especially a new proof of total contempt of its customers, we are forced to pay now once a year, but we speak in monthly increase, IPB should make politics.
  12. When we renew our licenses for 6 months (now a year), the announcement made two months before, it is not a pre-notification.
  13. Anyway, it's been some time that IPB pushes us to leave them (you plan to stop your activity?), they have absolutely no understanding of the current markets, the big boxes are moving more and more only to alternative solutions like Discord, facebook, ect ... to discuss with their community (the proof, even Bethesda closed its forums recently!) The premium argument would be funny if it was a joke, but it seems that @Mattis serious. Ipboard has nothing premium, it is behind in all the fields and does not evolve any more since years, it is especially about correction of bug, on the contrary, it even tends to lose functionalities! Ipchat -> abandoned without notice. Mobile application -> abandoned without notice. No, the annual renewal has no more sense, it is a total nonsense, because precisely we have no roadmap on what is planned, on the contrary, we go from bad surprise to bad surprise with your communication completely off the mark. Especially since @Jordan response indicating to reload our accounts 6 months before to keep this period is for me a new proof of total contempt for your customers. Lol is a joke ? We should also pay you for each "major" version? So we would have to pay for the software + a renewal for security updates + an additional fee for upgrades? You're definitely missing the point! The truth is that for a few years, nothing has been added on IPB, except the club function, the rest is bug fixes! You put forward the webp as a novelty, no sorry, the addition of two lines of codes to accept this file extension which is already supported by the majority of CMS for a few years is not a novelty. The addition of zapier is not a novelty either, it is above all a proof of laziness on your part to really integrate these functionalities in IPB, because if tomorrow Zapier closes, or decides like you to increase its prices of 30%, we are taken hostage! I will start by believing that you get a com for each request sent by an IPBoard installation. What's the next step, suppressing the sending of mail outside the provider? By the way, why didn't you take AWS which is the most common ? When I read that on this subject, it confirms me even more in what I think, you try to do as little as possible today to rehash as much as possible. You want me to pay 30% more and once a year? Ok, start by listening to your community, work on your software so that it respects today's web standards and that it gets the best possible score on pagespeed especially on mobile, offer us a real integration of wepb, discord, private messages in instant, do your job when you validate an extension on the market to make sure it works properly and then I would accept to pay more.
  14. "Don't worry, you won't be hurt, just bend over and cough!"
  15. Hello, I just got up, read this email and I am absolutely furious. I am told that I will get a "small" increase of 90$ every 6 months, that is 180$ per year, which is more than a 30% increase, but it is a small increase! Also, no more support by ticket, but by the forum, a good way to tell your customers to take care of themselves, but on the other hand, they can pay to open a ticket. But frankly, are you kidding us? Is this a joke? And you justify this with "We feel that Invision Community offers exceptional value for money with its rich functionality and power at your fingertips." ? No, we use Ipboard out of habit, nowadays there are other solutions. Moreover, I'm still waiting for a proper integration of Webp with conversation, an update of elasticsearch, a real mobile application, a real mobile optimization (IPB is completely lacking in this area), an evolution of the api, and that for years! Oh and I forgot, the ponpon, features that are not present on our self-hosted versions but on your versions that we don't want! We are users and contributors of mediawiki and they have a real update tracker, yet it is an open-source solution (like Discourse, Phpbb, SMF, etc...) and we almost get a faster response from them than by opening a "ticket". Frankly, what advantage do you think you have today? I tell you, none, we pay a licence (and other users too I think) for the convenience, but we will clearly review our strategy, especially as we are informed at the last moment.
