Appreciate it would not really work for the who's online at the foot of the index page, but would be nice to see the username hover box on the full who's online page.

Seems like there always has to be something in the logo area, 3.1.4 had the login box now the search box is stuck in there, can't you just not put something there? I know I can move it but----

I requested this on the preview board, but seeing as that's gone, I'm reposting it here. So.. Is there a reason why you can't "like" status updates? Your able to like posts, blog entries, downloads, and gallery images but why not status updates? With the success of facebook this almost seems like it's a no brainer to implement.

On the Settings page, it would make sense if "Manage Facebook" and "Manage Twitter" was under the same setting group such as "Manage Integration". Both settings pages are also a bit bare with only a few options, so again, it just makes sense.

I'm using the spam filter to automatically ban "known spammers"... Codes other than 4, I let register. It's worked pretty well. However, in the past couple of months, and more recently in the past couple weeks it seems more NON-spammers are getting banned. People are contacting us via our contact page, and Faceboook that they register but can't visit the site. Upon investigation it's because they've been automatically banned as a spammer. It's seems to me if the criteria is "known spammer", the filters have to be tightened some. Currently there are too many false positives. If it's not adjusted I'll have to disable it.

I find some aspect of the member dropdown/profile structure a bit confusing: Selecting the profile in the drop down has a mixture of profile stuff and some content. This doesn't seem entirely logical gven the title. Under the profile settings is an option for friends, but this doesn't seem to have any direct link to the 'manage friends' setting in the drop-down. Can these two not be combined or at least linked? Similarly the 'topics, posts etc' tabs in the profile page seem to sort of duplicate the 'my content' option in the drop down menu. Again can these not be combined or at least linked in some way? Under My settings the stuff down the left hand side seems fine, b…

Ok, so I "liked" a post, but I was wondering if there was a way for me to track my "likes", and remove them later if I wanted to? If so, where can I accomplish this? If not, maybe you should consider adding this in as a feature.

As I was very curious about the new mobile skin, I selected the mobile skin from the skin selector. However, now I'm in the mobile skin, I cannot return to the normal skin again.... :( Can you please help me out with a link?Thanks!

I wish IP.Tracker were more tightly integrated into IP.Board. For example I would wish that the discussion could actually go into a normal topic instead of having the discussions hosted in the IP.Tracker-application. It would then of course be needed to be created links between the reports in the IP.Tracker-module where you would get the overview, and to the topics in the board-module where the discussions would be posted. The discussion could then be loaded into the IP.Tracker-module - and you could post to the topic - by help from the API for example. Do you have any such plans?

Hello, I have few suggestion for IPB 3.2.0. Current bruteforce protection works like that: You set X failures in Y time. If user fails to log in X times in time frame of Y then that account will be disabled for his/her IP address. This wont work in all cases. For example our board is getting attacked by bots that are using proxy lists. If it fails to log in with one proxy IP address X times then it will take just another IP address and when it runs out of IP addresses then it will take just new account to bruteforce. At this point current protection will fail because it protects only one account. My suggestion: Make the protection to count all log in failures in Y time…

Hello all, While it may seem minor, the ability to change the display name of our users to match the color that designates what group they are in is important to us. every other (free) forum system we've used has this feature built-in, and we were surprised when we made the jump last year to IP Board that we are unable to do that without a plugin. We've been using "T31 Group Format" to handle this for us. Unfortunately, the author is a very busy man, and each new IP Board version requires him to update the plugin, which prevents us from moving to the latest IPB version for months at a time. Hey IPS Team, like the flash uploader. what i don't like is the 10 files per upload limit. I know that i can edit the ips.attach.js and ips.gallery_uploader.js file in the public/js folder and modify this, but it would be much more consistant and convinient to have this as a regular setting within the ACP. :)

Maybe there are tonnes of topics on this, but I would like to ask something about the admin permissions. In the SMF forum, as administrator, you have *all* the permissions. with IPB you must set up almost a good 30% of flags on the permission, even if you're administrator. Is there a way to set all the permission without any required field, for the admins? Just by default. And just in case, un-flag the stuffs for a second admin set. Sometime I must remember to set the flag on OK when I create a new forum, a new category and so on...and I don't think it's a problem I only have. I know that in the past there was a root-administrator set for this proposal: why not again…

Hi Invision-Team, we are currently working on a custom theme involving ip.content, ip.gallery, ip.blog and ip.content. We noticed that the applications are not always perfectly integrated. As for the css different css styles are used for the same layout elements in the different applications. This increases the effort to adapt the theme. Questions: a) will this be changed in 3.2? b) is the dev team aware of this issue or should we give you more details on what should be modified?

I think there should be an option in the RSS feed export for latest posts. Theres one for topics so I don't get why one for posts isn't already available. This would come very very handy for me and i'm it will for many other people. I've seen mods that show latest posts on the forum index but doesn't come with RSS so I think this should be added either as a perm feature in the feed export or a hook or something But this should be an option, hell even if I have to pay a couple of quid for it...

In another thread about automatically subscribing people to threads they reply to (as a default setting instead of a member setting it themselves), something came to mind. It would be nice if the admin could control what notification options are available to the members and of those options, control which member groups may use them. As it is now, you have a few options going from no notification to weekly emails. While that is nice, on some boards that could create problems. Hello, just now we have 2 options for sending mass mailing. pure text and html. These days it's common to have mixed mode, so if You have html reader mail is in html, but if You have text reader, You can see different version of mailing. Just now if You select html and You read this mail on text reader it looks terrible. So my idea is to implement this BOTH (pure text and html) method of sending emails. IPS guys - is it possible?

Is there any likelihood that the Recent Activity feature that was originally in the preview version of 3.0 might resurface in 3.1? I recall the issue being with the search index that was used to find a user's activity across all apps. What if, at least to begin with, it just pulls activity from IP.Board?

As Administrators, Site Owners, or Developers; we sometimes lose track of the basic usage of users. As I made away (and so did my members), I shared my account on the preview site. So that Invision (including myself), could get a normal user's thoughts, opinions, and general feedback... ie... People who were not Administrators, Site Owners, or Developers. One of my members wrote a letter (review) of what he thoughts & felt about Invision 3.2 (Preview). Thought I would share it.
