Now I'm sure this has been asked before, but I could not find it when I was looking for it. I noticed on my test site that members had the option to see the Mod CP. They cannot really do anything at all in there, but I don't think they should see imo. What I think is happening is that this is for Mods that are in charge of just one forum so that they can see the Mod CP. If anyone know any place where a setting might be to remove this, then please tell me. I noticed this forum does not do that.

Hey guys, is there a possibility to leave the end time of an event blank? I have several events, where I don't want to define an end, so it would be great to have the option to set just the beginning of the event and leave the end options blank.

I noticed 4.0 generates a bunch of various files such as 05e81b71abe4f22d6eb8d1a929494829_responsive.css.ff59c86b46df1e82d116358b6c96864b.css and so on. Is there anyway to for a rebuild of these files or delete and rebuild them if we are experiencing errors?

Browsing the forums on the mobile you don't have the ability to jump to the last (oldest) topics in a forum, you can only go back one page at a time. Couldn't there be a way to jump to the last page. For example in bug tracker I wanted to jump to the last page to view some of the initial bug reports but there's no way to do this.

What is the preferred way to add CSS rules with a plugin? I can insert inline CSS with a theme hook into the globalTemplate, but I think inline CSS is discouraged in IPS4. Any better way to do it?

Hi, is there any way to catch exceptions in template logic? My template logic includes a \IPS\gallery\Image::loadFromUrl($url); call, and at the moment, if I try to load a gallery image which doesn't exist, I get "exception 'OutOfRangeException'". I'd like to be able to handle this so that the page loads with no image, rather than having the page be entirely broken.

Ive seen custom mods on other sites, but would love to see a native version on IPB. A wikipost is usually the first or second post in a thread, which like Wikipedia, can be editited by multiple users.

I would like to see a better method for managing request from IPS for credentials for people seeking support in lieu of create a ticket and then send us your credentials: Which I have done on several occaisions, and most certainly am grateful and appreciated the assistance. I don't know why you are changing the format of IPS. Have other users said they actually like this layout? I totally hate the new downloads area. It seems you took a nice layout and made a huge mess of it. I sincerely hope you will reconsider, or at least keep up the updates for the 3.4 version.

FTP uploading is a relic from the past: it's an error-prone, time consuming and insecure (no hash checking) method that shouldn't even be considered in serious deployments. I'm not saying that it shouldn't be offered, since (I guess) many of your customers are still on shared hosting, but you should at least offer some alternatives for those of us who have access to a dedicated server / VPS. A git-based deployment system would probably be the best option here, since minor updates would just be a matter of running `git pull` (and visiting the update script, or — even better — running it from the CLI). I noticed that start new topic button is at the top of the forum index/root but once you open a sub forum it's at the bottom, why not be consistent and have it always at the top? This is on the mobile skin, not sure if it's the same on full skin?

looking at the main Download page i see the 4 main sections: FeaturedWhat's NewHighest RatedMost DownloadedThe Title or a link on the right side of that Faux Category bar should say "show all" and clicking that would take you to a list view of that contain the same items contained. I would also say that these 4 Categories / Groups be added to the sidebar perhaps their own block above or below categories. as a quick link to the list view.

I've used custom.css to change the body font to a webfont. Since the flag of my locale isn't featured on the flag sprite and so isn't included in flags.css, I've amended the image and entered a custom class into custom.css. The results are exactly what they need to be: The problem is that I would also like to use my webfont and see my flag used in the ACP. Hi I have a major issue with IPB considering to migrate to IPB for several existing communities When i visit IPB on the official forum and then the official Xenforo forum, i immediately notice a huge difference : much faster on the xenforo forum not the homepage, but the topics pages take 1 or 2s more to load on ipb (and i have the faster optic connection 500m/s) tested on the official forums as i assume they must both have strong dedicated servers So this is a major issue for me : why is it so laggy on IPB ? i was hoping IPB4 would be as fast as Xenforo but it looks like its not the case and its really annoying for users and also for admins i really like IPB so im a bit …

I was thinking of creating a small community art website along the likes of deviantart with a centralized place where you can basically add all files. While IP.gallery is ideal, it's missing one main form of art and that is the "literary art form". Deviantart has this neat feature that gives you the option to upload all kinds of text files, or choose to write literature with an text editor, when you don't want to upload a text file, afterwards it shows a thumbnail of a small section of the literature. Anyways just throwing this idea out there. To see if if this community is interested in it. Also a mp3 gallery section would be interesting lol.

As per a previously posted topic, I am using the suggested way to get member information about the currently logged in user so I can add integration between site and forums. That part works just fine, but I found out today that $_GET, $_REQUEST, and $_POST are all being unset in the \IPS\Request constructor (after saving all variables to the class... only if not IN_DEV).
