But was it intentional by clicking it, the html link is set to _blank. Majority of the ACP is either an AJAX popup or stays on the same page. This is probably the only component I keep running into that opens a new tab/window. When you click these.

Since you pointed it out, you're right, it's probably one of the only links that opens up a in new window. Maybe IPS didn't want people to confuse that sorted list with a regular unsorted list of members.
