Currently if you mark a user as a spammer, there's no option in couple clicks to unhide his posts if to unmark him as a spammer. This is very helpful and powerful feature, but became very limited to use in case of working only one way. For instance, I give my moderators such privilige to mark a user as a spammer if they not sure what to do with a user who start to spam. It's easy for them to learn how to do and it save a community from to be compromised, while an administrator is not online. And people do mistakes sometimes. If you marked someone with couple thouthand posts as spammer just because of mistake - you are in huge troubles to unhide his posts after…

ProBoards is by far one of the largest remotely hosted forum services. They have well over a billion posts across their network, and a great many individual large forums. In 2014 ProBoards launched a premium tier called Forums.net, in October 2014 ProBoards released a feature for Forums.net to allow a person to download their database. I would love to see IPB have a database converter for Forums.net. Currently only SimpleMachines has one. I have access to a live forums.net database for testing if needed.

Hey guys, I just purchased this software and I noticed several broken links. It's like, you guys forgot about us new people nearly entirely. We're not all veterans of IPB that bought $149 licenses five years ago. Pre-Sales forums has no professional InvisionPower staff responding, makes me think you don't really have many staff left or there's something wrong with the product and you cannot afford staff to answer questions. One of our admins came up with a brilliant idea, but I don't know if the IPS platform already has support for this or the team plans to have something similar in the future. The idea is for the report system to have some way to assign reports to moderators, this way, the admins can easily control who is in charge of taking care of an issue. We run a very busy forums, with over 6 million posts, in a country with a very low educational level (i.e., people don't read the rules, don't care about rules, and think they are above rules), and because of that, we have dozens of new reported content every day. I was just thinking it would be nice to show the filtering drop downs in All Activity as well as custom streams, it would lead to people using custom streams more and spotting the extra features without having to be led or informed before use. For those that dont want to use them they can then filter the results easily on the All Activity page to narrow down what they see.

My emoticons after upgrading to 4.0 appear to be foobared. Uploads etc are on a separate CDN subdomain and they don't appear to have installed. They're in /admin/install/emoticons/ though. They do not appear in ACP. All I can see are long defunct emoticon packs that were deleted years ago. How can I delete the references to the defunct emoticon packs, AND get the IPB 4 default emoticons installed?

If it's not currently possible, (and I don't see any options in v4.1.9) I'd like to request adding the capability of a "shared album" within the Gallery. A shared album would allow other users to contribute photos to an album started/owned by a different user. E.g. If several users attended an event and took photos, they could all be uploaded and consolidated into a single album. I realize that a category might do this now, but it would be left up to Admin's to create the Category where everyone could then create their own album before everyone can post their photos. And even better example: A car club has cruises & events. One members starts a "2016…

It would be nice to move banned users to a new group with no permission (or some permissions, configurable). When a user is banned, nobody knows this. At least a custom title - "Banned" - that can be seen be everyone (on its forum posts) should have while they are banned...

I have a group that I move members into when they have a defunct email account or I get rejected/bounce backs. Can we have an option in the group settings to NOT send an email to that group for all email services (globally exclude it from receiving any emails?)?. Mostly this is caused by them following a forum or thread and having notifications sent by email.

I think it's a tad redundant to show all potential category types on a user's profile. Instead, it should just show category types they have used. This would make it much more easy to find their content. There's alllll of those categories on my profile. But I haven't posted in 90% of them. In fact I can't post on some, ie News. It'd make it much easier for people to, for example, look at my forum posts by just hiding the categories which I have not done anything in. Edit: Also, is there any reason status updates are disabled by default? I'm not sure that's a good idea. Many of my users never use status updates because they think they can't.

Not sure if possible but might be nice to be able to export a Page created and then import into Pages Reason am asking is because create a page on test forum then when happy with it got to do everything again on live forum and might just be easier to be able to export from test forum and upload to live forum Same idea for Blocks

I know that it is possible to get a RSS feed per category/forum, but it is not really useful. It would be better to have the possibility to select forums where to get RSS from: Like: rss.php?forumids=2,6,77

One thing I noticed is when I have bunch pages create all guest and members viewing any of those pages will be shown as Viewing Forums Index any plan on getting those tracking to show, or it is just a bug on my end?

The biggest problem is that currently the version 4.1.x is the group permissions do not work with pictures, you can not establish that groups can view or download the attachment images as by default anyone can access them. This is a mistake that must be solved as soon as possible since many communities are not upgrade to 4.1 because of this.

Hello there, I test IP. Chat. This is fantastic apps, I can see active user on chat, and I can start private chat. It's good! But, I think there is few thing to improve. History chat - it should be last 50-100 comments, no last 10 minutes... The ability to create new chatroom. Now, I can write on one chatroom, so I think there could be more chatroom to variety of topics. What do you think about this? In this case, the chat is hopeless. Better is a free chatbox. Don't get me wrong, the new system, where moderators don't actually join the PM by default, is much better. However, if a moderator actually joins in the discussion, they should be able to join the conversation properly, so they don't have to enter via the report every time they want to check for replies. As far as I can see, they are also not able to reply to the PM when entering via a report, but I might be wrong, and don't really want to test this on a real conversation because even if I am able to send the message, I would still not be able to view replies.

Currently the only option for referral banner links is for them to link to the FORUM main page! Why can't we make the banners link TO THE STORE?!? An affiliate of ours has been spending money on advertising only to discover his banners were linking to our FORUMS main page and not to the actual STORE! I'm not asking to link to specific products, though that (could also be useful), I'm asking for an option to have the referral banners LINK TO THE STORE and not the forums main page. Please help!
