Please allow us to create a name for the storage selections, as we use amazon s3 and a few buckets they all show as the same name and can cause confusion when selecting.

This is a suggestion and question, if this is possible. Often users who do not have a lot of technical knowledge try to copy/paste images straight from their computer. They don't attach images but just paste them. The problem is that when they write the post, the images are visible since they have the images hosted locally but when the post is published, it shows broken images. I know some WYSIWYG editors know how to handle images inserted with copy/paste. Is this something that could be implemented in IPS as well? Should this question perhaps better be addressed to the author of the editor IPS uses?

I am looking and can t find anything but adding a single link to the nav bar. Do you have to edit the css/html directly in the templates? Which is fine but I would have thought there would be an easier way

I'm using the demo so I can see and test all features before upgrading my board however I notice when I create a Forum and uncheck "Download attachments" for Guests in Permissions, it doesn't work. When I log off, and become a Guest, I still can see the attachment and download it?

Feedback from my happy users: Will you raise this with Invision as a request for "future enhancement"? be changed slightly? I think 'contributed to', 'commented on' or 'posted about' are more accurate descriptions of whatever the latest addition to a thread might be. Also, where MemberA is the same as MemberB the 'replied to' wording is decidedly strange! If the software were really smart, it would recognise MemberA and MemberB as identical, and replace 'Member B's' with 'their', 'his' or 'her' as appropriate? I'm not a pedant, as I don't match the exact definition of one. Please consider it duly raised!

... is now a complete mess in 4.1.14.3. For some reason if you now do a member search in the ACP it returns the entire content of all searchable fields. The resultant table is now wider than my 27" mac and completely blows out the side of the template wrapper. What used to be a useful function is now a complete mess. Please can you change it back to what it was in the last version. Thank you

Guests need to reload custom Activity Stream page to get new results when they change the stream filters. I tested this on 4.1.15 Beta version. I hope this will be improved so they don't need to reload the page when changing filters. I created custom stream to get rid of the All Activity Stream for guests so they would get list of topics with new posts, instead of all new posts from the same topics, and it's working, except for this need to reload the page when changing the filters.

Importing ICalendar feeds returns the wrong times on start and end dates by an hour +1. Looks like this is a daylight saving issue here in the UK. When I imported this feed here in Outlook the correct times were supplied, but incorrect in the Calendar with IPB4. Outlook: IPB4: Would it also be possible to remove the 'required' on the end time, please? As I would like to to use the start time as the Kick Off time for games and matches.

From this bug report: http://community.invisionpower.com/4bugtrack/localstorage-post-stripped-prematurely-r1920/ The issue is that when the board goes offline, I lose my internet access without noticing or probably anything that causes the form submit to go wrong; you'll lose the post. Because the localStorage / autosave data is cleared from the editor on post submit, so the post will be gone. This have happened to me twice for the past few days. The first time was when the board was taken offline at some point, the form submitted but I was just met with the offline board message. So I had to write the post again. The second time was today, I'm currently on a train with a…

I can't believe this feature was left out in the newest version of IPB. I am a loyal user but that they left this standard feature out is not understandable. You can only set the limit of post content size but that is not enough. I don't want that there is a post with ex. 2 attachments and then another one with 100 or so.. I want to set a standard and keep my forum clean, when everyone is able to choice how many attachments they can post is will become a mess. Please bring this back ASAP.

It would be really helpful to be able to send bulk mail to members in validation. Not everyone automatically approves membership. It would be nice if there was a way to send a messages to those members before you approved or deleted registration request.

No idea who to tag here, also the tags aren't working right now (and also have a recently browsing panel on this create new topic page which is really strange) Is there a policy of on or off for this in CIC. You moved a CIC customer to a new server this afternoon. Previous server had allow_fopen on, the new server it's set to off. Either it's just a mistake on the new build or a mistake on the old. Prefer on for simplexml_load_file purposes but would like certainty one way or the other. @Lindy EDIT: Something up with the create/edit topic page or js, but tags do work - just don't parse while editing. That and the odd recently browsing bit at the bottom.

If you are quoted more than once in a topic you only get one notification, which is fair enough. But the link only take you to the first quoted post. It has been mentioned on our forum that it is difficult to find the second quoted post. I imagine it is even more difficult to find the posts when quoted more than twice in a large topic.

When disabling an application via the ACP, the application is removed from the admin menu. I propose that this needs changed. I feel that when a application is disabled, this should only affect the front-end and not the admin area. Sometimes it is necessary to set up an application before switching it to be live, and no, turning it on and giving it admin only privileges will not work in some cases. For Example: Switching to another menu system will leave you without a 'menu' on a live website until you have set it up. This isn't really good tbh. I propose that disabling an application should only be disabled front-end and not the back-end and the applicatio…

Maybe I am going blind in my auld age! But, I cannot find the 'Tasks' menu item in the System/Advanced/ area. The only way I can access this item is by doing a search in the ACP first. Should 'Tasks' be hidden like this, or is this considered a bug? I am now wondering what other ACP items are not visible in the admin menus? Regards,

seems all the rsvp download links in the calendar app use csrf keys and so produce many google search crawl errors due to ... The CSRF protection key did not match. This may indicate a plugin or theme is out of date. Please contact technical support for more information. Error code: 2S119/1

This was marked "Future" then marked "Closed" but if a user is reading a topic they are not shown as being in that forum (or app category) in "Recently Browsing". So go to a forum to see who is active there, and usually nobody is, making sites look dead, but they are reading content in that forum and did not leave it. In 3.4 this worked. If you are reading content in a category, you are still shown in that category. If you visit their page it will say they are reading a topic. But they are not removed form the actual location when viewing that online box, as, they are reading a topic in that category. Affects all apps.

If there's an error, especially an EX class error, the data submitted by the user ought to be recovered as far as possible, either by not clearing the editor autosave until the page has loaded successfully, or by attempting to recover the contents of the post on the error page.

I wish there was a way to uniquely identify the different storage methods. The only way to tell which one is which is the order.

It's really frustrating that there isn't a way to prevent certain groups (i.e. guests) from seeing images that have been uploaded as attachments and then inserted into posts. Every forum software that I have ever used has this ability. Just blocking non-paid groups from being able to upload isn't enough. This feature is very important for those of us who run forums that require membership fees. If I can't prevent guests and non-paid members from seeing content it basically defeats the purpose of having a fee based system. I don't understand why this feature is overlooked and brushed off by IPS staff I have brought it up on numerous occasions. You spend so much time trying…

Currently, you only create one thumbnail for profile pictures, which is 240x240px, to account for 2x DPI on the largest profile pictures that you display. However, personally, I would rather trade the lower bandwidth (and therefore higher page speeds) for the higher disk usage to get each image turned into at least a couple of different sizes. Currently, you have several different profile picture sizes defined in CSS: tiny - 34px - used in last poster information mini - 44px - used I think in question forums, and certain calendar things small - 54px - used mostly in commerce, and also in featured topics in question forums medium - 75px - used on ho…

Is there such a thing that would allow a user to set a price in commerce, and the plugin, core software, API or whatever could work out other currencies and autofill those currencies tied in with something like XE.com? The reason I ask is I'm now using @Adriano Faria's excellent classified app, and I use three currencies. UKP, EUR and USD. My members tend to put in their own local currency, but if potential buyers display in another currency, no price shows. I think this would be pretty awesome if it's do-able.

Hello, I used similar sidebar blocks before on the forum, now I am using the IPB blocks instead of an external one. One of the most important differences, that most of my members also noticed is, the new sidebar blocks show the name of the owner of topic and the date of when the topic was started. However, I think the idea of creating a sidebar block with the most active, recent or popular topics is to show the users that your forum is active. For this reason, I think it makes more sense to show the name and the date of the last reply to that post. Its not only my request but also many of members of my forum suggested that it was much more useful to see that information.…
