Currently, all metadata, including GPS data, is preserved on all uploaded images when using ImageMagick (but I believe not GD - it seems to be stripped on this site). Many phones have location tagging enabled by default, and users are unaware that uploading their photos might compromise their location. In the gallery, location data can be retained in the optional map, but in the image itself, and everywhere else on the site, I think GPS data should be stripped to protect users' privacy. On my site I use the Downloads app to upload files which may be relatively large. These include MP3 files of conversations for language learners, scans of old magazines and so on. In order to be able to upload these, I've set a fairly generous upload_max_filesize and post_max_size. Unfortunately for me, that's resulted in users posting images into Forum and Calendar posts which are far larger than they need to be. I understand that I could start users off in member groups with maximum storage limitations imposed or attempt to be very hands-on with messaging people concerned (/removing their attachments and replacing them with appropriate ones) but none of this is ide…

Super simple change that allows the calendar event API to output the cover photo... Provide the ability to upload other users to albums created by me from the main gallery page. Now, to upload images you need to go to each specific album, which is not convenient.

Hi, I have been a PayPal user for many years, one day they decided to limit me permanently after using them for years straight - I was even a business account that had my own phone line, where I'd get my personal support. Problem with IPS Marketplace, is that it requires you to login to your PayPal account to purchase products. This really sucks, for people like me. People that don't want to give all their information out to PayPal, or don't are simply permanently limited are not able to purchase anything from the marketplace. Seen this function in a car forum, non functional links are disabled. You can't click them and if you move the mouse over that link a popup shows the link address and the reason why the link isn't active. Here you can see it

Hello ! Fluid view was an option I found really cool, until I saw what it looked like on my board. For example : -Is it possible to have all the forums hidden with only the category's name visible, so that you can click on the category name to show the forums it contains ? -Should the fluid view also show the side blocks ? Someones probably going to tell me this already exists, or theres an obvious work around but... Hello, Quite simply - there needs to be a feature that enables the revoking of any permission previously given to a user via a user group they're in without removing them from that user group. I.e. if a user belongs to a general user group that enables the usage of signatures, I'd need the ability to either revoke that permission directly from their profile or create a user group that takes priority over existing user groups they're in.

Hi, Since the upgrade to 4.3.x we noticed that hidden topics aren't displayed with a red background anymore (inside the topic itself; it still shows with a red background the topic list). Is this a bug or by design? Thanks!

Please, add a notification when the item submitter responds to a review. Currently the review author will only know he has a response only if he goes back to the reviewed item.

Hi, Does Invision have plans to integrate Commerce further into the suite by extending the notification system/options to support requests? As a customer, it would be great to receive desktop notifications or see at the top right of the site that there have been new replies to support requests!

So another thing I'd personally like to see in Calendar: If you have a recurring event which is, say, every Thursday from 3-4pm, and something comes up one week which leads you to want to delete a single occurrence of that event for only one week, there's no way to do that without deleting the entire event from every week and having to re-add it. Can this be fixed/updated? I'm putting it here because I'm not sure it's classifiable as a "bug."

Hello! Is there any way I can display the word count every post on my forum? Is there a plugin for that? I've been searching for awhile on the Invision Community and I see nothing that does what I'm looking for. I just need an easy way to show the word count of every post and every response. I would happily pay money for a plugin that does this.

It would be great if you could automatically schedule an announcement to happen at a certain day and time and repeat like a calendar event by day, month, or year. Or create a calendar event that would trigger an announcement when that even happens.

Would really like to see Drag and Drop duplicate/copying items with IPS. A lot of Windows applications allow the ability to click shift and drag an item as a way of duplicating it elsewhere. This would be really handing for quickly creating forums, categories and other items. This would defiantly speed up production on a forum.

As activity streams become a key part of more sites (it is now our home page) it would be useful to have the ability to hide particular items so that they don't appear on it. For example, if I bulk create a number of events, I could hide all but the most relevant so as not to flood the feed for everyone.

In Downloads Limits -> Maximum Downloads per Day: I have set to 5. That way when the user reaches the limit is necessary for him to wait 24 hours to download something again.
