I've been having some issues with a few users and issuing warning points. One of them complained there is no notification when they log in. I seem to remember in 3.x that there was a prominent display when they logged in. I just tested it with a user, then logged in as that user and there is no display. Let's assume they have notifications turned off (no pm, no site email), how does a user get notified?

Hi everyone, i am messing around and trying to find a way to get the icon of a topic's forum, knowing the $topic variable, but with no avail. I've tried this: $icon = (\IPS\forums\Forum::load($topic->forum_id))->iconBut it seems that it doesn't work. Can you help me? Edit: Oops wrong section. May you delete this, pls?

Two users. Two different computers. Same public IP. One thread. One user can post to the thread, the other gets a 403, Forbidden error was encountered... Error Document... Stumped. Can't be mod_security on my side because it's the same IP, right? Note that the user can post to another thread in the same forum, just not THAT thread. Ideas?

Hey all, I'm trying to place custom blocks on individual subforums with ads that relate directly to that topic, however, it seems that when i add a block to the side bar, it gets added throughout the hierarchy of my forum and shows on every page. Is there a way I can place blocks only on specific pages of my forum without them showing on every page?

Hello, I recently upgraded to IPS 4 from 3.4.x. I had to export my database, upgrade locally, then re-import to my server as my shared hosting wouldn't let me run the UTF8 converter script. Now that it's online and upgraded, everything works EXCEPT AJAX based features. Editing posts on the fly (goes to full editor), I can't drag and drop blocks from the left side bar, etc. Any ideas how to fix? IPS Support can't seem to figure it out yet.

Hello, Since the 4.0 release, is there something special to do in the admin, to adapt our IPB forums to mobiles ? With the 3.4, there were a lot of things to do and the result wasn't very good.

Hi everyone, I updated our community forums yesterday and we also have a custom written "Portal" that is using some data from the forums database. We have a self-updating box that is showing the latest threads on that portal. Since the update, the box is not showing the forums name anymore because the "name" field in forums_forums is gone. Do you have an idea where this bit of information is stored now and how can I read it? preferrably within the database query but I guess it's not possible anymore. thx in advance for your answers

If so, I am not seeing it. I am having quite the difficult time with this. I've got an admin-specific theme that I can test changes on and am editing the "navbar" global template for my admin-only theme. I've added two entries to it, one for the Activity Stream and one for the Guidelines. This is what it looks like now...... As you see it "doubled up" on them for some reason even though they're only entered once in the source. I also can't for the life of me determine where in the heck "Follow on Twitter" is coming from. That appears on ALL my templates globally and I've gone through the adminCP searching where in the heck it was added and can't find it. It is not …

I noticed the theme settings gets cached with zend opcache, constants.php and a lot other stuff. When I edit theme, css etc.. the entire site breaks, so i have to restart php-fpm to clear opcache to make it work again.. anyone else experiencing such? Randomly broke: rip:

I'm stumped on this one. We've run a single database for years ("Articles", run on default template names) and decided to separate out content into three databases ("Articles", "Tutorials", "Product Reviews"). Having created new Database Templates (all types) in Pages and assigned them to database Tutorials, and double checked that setting in Databases it doesn't appear to actually have been assigned, and instead is relying on the default template group. Is this something I have overlooked? The Product Reviews database appears to be acting normally, despite the same process having been carried out. How can i have every user follow every forums content to get an email every week for new posts The user can select these their selves but i can't see any where in ACP where i can enable this for all forums In the db i can see the table but it appears to be an MD5 hash Any clues (this is for 4.0.13)

When we were on IPB3.x, the anonymous members were set up that Admin could see them in the "Who's online" section and they were marked with an * to show they were signed on anonymously. However, since the upgrade to IPS4, anonymous members are no longer seen & I can't find a setting for it Does anybody know if this is possible with IPS4 and if so, where do I turn it on?

After we upgraded one of our forums we noticed a significant steady increase in disk usage for the volumes to the mysql server that handles these forums, although we upgraded only our smallest community. https://www.dropbox.com/s/zbcy1fuqv7l4356/Skjermbilde 2015-09-07 kl. 12.11.56.png?dl=1 This caused alarms to go off at our host late Sunday evening and they had to prune several logs to temporarily solve the situation. The issue is essentially that if someone wants to include a video in their post, in the past they could use a BBCode tag. Now they hit the URL and it embed it. This wouldn't be so much an issue except it generates a giant video in the editor - which in my opinion is completely unnecessary and is also quite annoying. We've been able to reduce the size that the video takes up and scale it to 500px width, but we've hit a similar issue with Soundcloud embedded media which takes up a huge amount of space and ultimately there is no need for it to take up so much space. What would I need to do? I'm getting EX0 error after changing, both servers should have identical setup. Forums loads fine, shotubox can't shout and acp shows EX0.
