I'm attempting to add some click-to-insert functionality to the editor in 4.1, and I can't seem to find the proper combination of functions to insert and format an image. I could just insert the <img> tag myself, but then I miss out on the thumbnailing/lightboxing that happens when someone inserts an image by hand. Is there an easy way to tell the editor to parse new content (if I were to just insert the URL), or to pre-process a URL in the same way that CKEditor does it?

I am trying to turn on the Rewrite URLs feature in System >> Search Engine Optimization >> Friendy URLs. My site already has two .htaccess files: 1) In the site's root directory. This is the main .htaccess file which I am modifying. 2) In the [root]/wordpress/ directory which is necessary for the wordpress blog I have located on my site. I am not modifying this. The problem is, when I paste the required code into the root .htaccess file, everything works but my wordpress URLs become broken. How do make sure that the wordpress .htaccess file is unaffected? Just bought my new domain name and want to add it so it can be used. I can't find where to change this in the admincp section... Once signed in I only have the options of the left side where I can't find anything about it. I do not have any other menus in my admincp. There should be a redirect thing some where but I can't seem to find it. Is this doable yourself or do you gotta put in a ticket to have it done and wait a week before someone even gets back with you about it? If someone could point me in the right place in the admincp to do this myself, I would be very thankful..

I've got two issues - want to see if it's something I can somewhat easily fix or if I need to report as a bug. First, ever since completing the upgrade to 4.1+ (I was late to update - jumped from 4.0.13.1 to 4.1.3.2), my reputation button doesn't display who voted anymore. Also, notifications now say "somebody" instead of the user that completed the action. I didn't see any settings in the admin CP regarding reputation that allows me to toggle this function. Second, also ever since the upgrade, my editor button images are shuffled a bit. "Link" is now the gear image, "emoticons" now use the link image. "Left" and "center-align" now use left and right flags, and …

Hi, I have a few questions that I thought I would ask in here rather than submit a support ticket. Hopefully someone can help 1. Since the upgrade to 4.1 my standard member group is unable to use [ spoiler ] tags, would there be any particular reason for this? Hey guys, Im using different databases on my pages section on my website. Al these pages have their own 'frontpage' with shown records. Is there a possibilty to combine all these databases on 1 overviewpage? When i created the different pages i used the {database="4" title="Title"} and so on and on (got 5 in total), so each of them would have their own website section. Now i want al these different databases to join forces on 1 overview page. Is that simply combining the database names inside the code: {database="4" "5" "1" title="Home"} etc, or do i have to try something else? Many thanks in advance!

Since 4.1 removed Sphinx, I need to get the SQL search working for my forum. The primary item I need is the ability to search hyphenated words. Here's what I have tried: In /usr/share/mysql/charsets/ I edited latin1.xml (where character_set_server and character_set_database point to) and in the ctable entry changed 10 to 01 in the 3rd row 14th column (0x2D) I then restarted mysql and even apache, rebuilt the search index and still am unable to search for hyphenated words. Can anyone help me with what I may be doing wrong?

Hi guys, I'm trying to fix this issue, but I can't find a solution. This is my board, and the problem is that the header ads (Responsive) pushes the sidebar on the right exceeding the content width. I tried to force a max-width putting the script inside a div with a style, (you can see the right width highlighted in blue), but it does not work. Any idea? Thanks! Alex

I need some help trying to use a Google News RSS feed URL. I have used them on past sites and they have worked fine, but now I am getting the error message That is not a valid RSS or Atom feed. Can someone please point me in the right direction on the proper format. OK, I'm running IPB v3.4.7 and want to install a test forum with v4.0.13.1 on a sub-domain. I got errors: So basically I need to install php v5.4, correct? If I install php 5.4 on my GoDaddy shared hosting, will it break my current forum running v3.4.7 on php 5.2.17? Or will the forum automatically recognize the php upgrade and still work?

So I recently underwent a partnership with a fellow member of the IPS community to combine our sites. Two weeks later, I strongly regret that and I see exactly how stupid I was xD. He's having a bit of tantrum(claims to have multiple personalities). I discovered that he edited a few user accounts and placed them in my usergroup (Giving them full powers that I had and that he lacked). Quite frankly, I am disappointed that IPS doesn't have a better way to protect the super admin...it seemed way easier on IPB3 but I digress. So now my site is a bit jacked up and not working.
