Hello, Using the latest IPS/IP.Board I'm hoping someone has figured out a way to do this. I could use the announcement system (but then I have to open up the announcement system to ALL my moderators of different forums, and it appears I can't restrict which forums they are allowed to post announcements to). I am trying to use the "Users can only see own posts" permission setting for our support forums, so that they are private posts. However, we have specific instructions on the formatting of their post (think a template they use). I would like to let my moderators post and pin that template in their respective forums, however, it appears that regular users …

Hello, I have SSO in my web app and in order to authenticate people using ipb I'm using the following code: require $path.'/forum/init.php'; \IPS\Session\Front::i(); echo id: ".\IPS\Member::loggedIn()->member_id; Very ofter I get an empty member_id from the echo command and the session disappears from my part of the application. The session in ipb still works fine and after clicking several links in the forum, the member_id variable becomes available again and so the session for my part of the app. This happens all the time. Should I add anything else to those two first lines in order to use the session information in my app ? Thanks.

Hi guys, I'm trying to configure Facebook login handler properly. Today I have finally got my App approved by Facebook. And seems it almost works, but on the very last stage, when facebook redirects me back to community, community login/register page says "Something went wrong". Very detailed error explanation, I really love it... but no idea, what exactly goes wrong. Could somebody help and provide example (screenshots) of proper facebook App settings? I'm not sure that I have configured "Advanced" tab properly Thanks!

Hi, I'm trying to setup a proper mod_rewrite rule to get the API working with my website without using .htaccess. Currently I have the following but it doesn't seem to redirect to the API just the main website. Any ideas? Hi! I get an error as I try to create a topic Error code EX2 ,the funny thing is that the topic is created perfectly but instead of previewing the topic i have just created i get an error. For replying topics something alike happens, this time i dont get any kind of visible error, as i hit reply button appears again clickable as it nothing had happened, but the reply was ok... any clues?

Hello amigos, i want to have different language setups, or display options for my frontpage only (http://infinity-exp.net/). The frontpage is only displaying news which i currently distinguish with tags like "english" or "german". The thing i want to have now is that people can change the language on the mainpage so that the news are changing in either english or german, or they get redirected to the correct language by default and can change later if they want to see the german/english news. Pls help ;<

Hi there, I want to use a custom advertisement placement, and I don't know which template, to add it to... I want to place it on the footer, in the middle where the "Contact us" is, with the "contact us" on the same line but right justified? I'm currently trying out the demo board for version 4. I'd like to be able to create an album that both myself (Admin) and Moderators can upload photos to/delete photos from but standard members can't upload photos to/delete photos from it. Is this possible? I can't seem to find a way to restrict groups from categories/certain albums. EDIT: Sorry, just realized I can do it with the categories! Can admin delete this post please. :-)

Since I originally installed the site, my account has all the admin privileges. If I add a new admin user, however, they are still quite limited in their privileges. One example of such a limitation is the new admin user's inability to edit database fields. I have taken a look at the Admin group settings, and I found nothing strange there. Does anyone know how to debug this?

When creating a block with a feed from a database, or creating a feed, there is no way to order by your custom fields, you are only able to can sort by: Recently Updated, Title, Most Commented, Start Date and Most Viewed. How do you order by the field headings?

Hi, I'm using a host that is blocking me to upload the xml Lang via forum. Forbidden You don't have permission to access /forum/admin/ on this server. I already tried to set permission CHMOD 777 but nothing happened and I tried to contact the host, but they said to upload via FTP. There's some way to install a Language uploading the xml file via FTP? Thanks in advanced! Gustavo.

Is there away to add a back to top button on the on the forums home page and inside category page? I see several post's suggesting "Go To Top 1.0.2" plugin but that's for inside a post bit I want it for the main forums and category page.

I can get an invoice made in my Commerce that sometimes a user doesn't put in their payment information and pretty much makes me think there a pending order. From what I was told it can't be changed to disallow an invoice to be made if there is no payment information in the field. So it would great to allow the system to check if there is a payment in the field before even an invoice is made and my time is wasted time and resources. Of course this should be option to allow and disallow this so that Owners can leave this to the owner to choose what they want. Please look at ticket 941940 for more information.

Hello, I am developing realtime NodeJS app, which I'd like to integrate with IPS Community. I was wondering - what would be the easiest way to achieve session share between NodeJS app (heavly focused on Socket.IO) and IPS Community forum. My first idea was to pull in PHP JWT library and modify login method, then I could easily parse that in my NodeJS app, but this raises a problem - JWT would ideally reflect PHP Session - that's definitely improper solution. Since IPS cookies aren't encrypted, they aren't reliable in that case. I have one more idea - use memcached as cachedrvier with some nodejs implementation of PHP's unserialize. Trying to create a Custom Block, using the Image Feed plugin from the Gallery. When I use the "default" Image Feed on my homepage it works great. When I try and use a Custom Block it does not work at all. I am sure it is not the settings either, all seems fine. (see attached)

As anyone been able to wrangle CKEditor to take pasted content from (for example) another site and strip the inline styling like font-family but not HTML elements like strong, em, table, etc? Paste as plain text is a little too destructive sometimes.
