Hi When adding an event into the calendar there are two check boxes. Single day event,/This is an all day event. Single day event is auto checked. How can this be NOT be auto checked please? It seems strange to have to click to uncheck it to add a week long event like a camping trip for example.

Hello, we want to sell a subscription with the nexus application. We would like to use the Paypal gateway. The problem is which we discovered during some tests is that if I would refund the payment with paypal the subscription does not close. So if he buys it for 1 Month and open a dispute on paypal to get his money back the system do not realize is and do not close the subscription. In the old software it worked via an paypal payment notification and the subscription got canceled. Is there anyway to do this? TLDR: If someone refund a payment on paypal can the system cancel the product of the customer?

Okay, so last night I bit the bullet and upgraded to 3.4.8 from the previous version (even though I had applied security updates before then). Email notifications seem to have stopped altogether. I'm getting "Could not connect to SMTP server" error in the logs. Same with the diagnostic tool under Support> email test. I have double checked everything in the system>configuration>email . I even changed my password for my google email account for the board thinking google had trashed my password somehow. Still the same error. I have a support ticket in but from what I read it could be a long while before a response. My members are clamoring for notifications. Has a…

Does anyone know the recommended advertisement image sizes for landscape banner images? I assume the 'medium' is for tablets and larger screen sizes. As the 'small' must be for mobiles and small screen devices. Yet I can't find any recommendations on the best sizes? I've tried using Adsense as a guide, plus some others but still I am unsure. If anyone could help, I would be very grateful.

in page building, without using IPB template would like to know how to pull menu item from the system maybe something like this {foreach menu} {button} {end} also want to know how to pull activity data as well as applying some filter, and pulling the language button trying looking into documentation and digging in theme, couldn't find it I know there is an output object, but how do I find the calls that I can use?

I've got only 2 members that have ties to US Gov't and both of them seem to have problems with the "remember me" function holding a password. I know the whole function is based on a cookie. I've requested that all the cache and cookies to be dumped. I'm wondering if anyone has had issues with "Remember me" function with folks from Gov't backgrounds be it military etc. I know at least my Linux based PC and my Android tablet work fine. I've even tried in a VirtualBox with Windows 7 no issues.

We've just upgraded from 3.4.8 to 4.1 and after initial howls of rage and pain have largely got positive feedback. One of the biggest sustained complaints - oddly - is about a minor missing feature - the ability to click on a thread in the index page and get a list of posters who have posted on a specific thread, ordered by number of posts made. We had this on our previous installation, but it was such a poorly documented original setup not sure if this was as a result of a core feature or an extension added in at some point in the distant past. Is there something similar we could implement for 4.1?

Hi, I am starting using Commerce app and I have a few questions : Is it possible to : - hide empty categories on front-end ? It is boring for user to check every categorie to see if there is some product. And it cost time for admin to create/delete categories. - display the number of products for each category on store index - add or modify products on front end ? On product content, there is only one tab : Product information. Is it possible to add others tabs ? Thank you !

I'm currently going through and creating a bunch of pages in the Pages app. Things like a "Terms and conditions" page, an "Advertise with us" page, an "About us" page, etc, etc. For each of these pages, I want a standard sidebar. But it seems I have to add a sidebar and set up all the blocks on every individual page I create. It's getting pretty tedious now, and it's going to be a real pain to change anything down the track if I have to go through page by page. Surely that's not right, and there's a way to turn on a standard "universal" sidebar? What am I missing?

This is really weird.. the messages I send via the board do not arrive on any outlook accounts. If i send them via webmail from my server to outlook.com they go through. Other accounts like aol receive emails from the forum just fine. Is this a known issue?

Hi I have a script I want to embed within the themes global template for guest visitors only. The script needs to go inside the <head></head> tags. Is there any way I can make it so that this script is only run if the visitor is not logged into the forum, so a guest? Thanks

Hello, I was testing the Auto Welcome app and registred an account for it on repeat (I deleted it and signed it up again like 5 times) until I got a message that I need approval before Im registred. I approved the account and then deleted it again to test it again (the Auto Welcome app) and then when I was about to register it again I got the error gode 2S129/1 , that Im not permitted to register an account. I did not set a setting to "needs approval" or something so probably I have been blacklisted by my own board. Any tips on how to manage that?

I'm looking for a way to search for / list all posts with external links. We realized that most posts that Admins / Mods have to edit, are posts with external links. It is not so bad that we want to put all posts with an external link into a moderation queue, but it would be very helpful, if we could have an option for the Mods to show / list all posts with external links. Even better if we could search for special domains. Actually we manually search for the term "http" and sort by date. But it would be handy, if we could use this as a saved search. Hello, Recently migrated over to Invision 4.1 and all the BBCode doesn't render unless you hit edit and then save in the CKEditor. I was wondering if there is an automated method to do this, or specifically if this is handled by invision in a class / function ?

Anyone else experience this when I create Announcement with font size and color it shows it in editor and in modcp but everywhere it displays on the forum it shows default color and size. Does anyone know if it's possible to prevent avatars from being imported from a URL? We want to avoid (as much as possible) users being able to get the server's IP. (I know some people disagree with methods like this, but we would still like to discontinue the ability to import avatars from external websites.) Thank you very much!

Has anyone made a block that streams Periscope? I have found 2 sites that have periscope videos embedded in them. While they might not be IPB sites it can be done. We plan on using Periscope as our main form of marketing our site and products. [Edit] I also found. node-periscope-stream (0.1.5) - Get details about a Periscope live stream peristream (0.1.7) - A wrapper around periscope.tv event streams, allowing you to easily access them.

Hello, I've just upgraded to v4 and now the mod i had which put on an Ajax "Thanks" button is gone. I see there is a reputation system which can be set to positive vote only - this could function the same as my thanks, however I have a few questions: 1) When i enable it i see a count in the bottom right of a post and it is grey and seems no way to click it... What am i doing wrong here? 2) Is there any way I can convert my thanks votes into these rep points? 3) Is there an actual thanks type plugin for v4?

It seems the Topic Feed widget is filtering some posts. I am not sure why. Same thing happens with default theme. These are my settings. Widget cache is set to 60 seconds. Show Forums: All. Widget got updated showing another topic, but missing the topic "Lustige Vids" Made some test posts there. Same result Even if I set the Forum Filter to "Public" it's missing Any Idea why it is filtering some topics?

Hello, I have IPS4 (4.1.8.1) running Pages database. It looks like all articles (or database entries) created by regular users are created locked by default, and can not be unlocked by the author. Is it possible to create new database entries unlocked by default, so authors can edit them later? Is there a specific setting for that? Thanks in advance PS: All permissions are set to enable Adding, Editing of entries and fields in Pages database.
