Hello, I've been trying to install the footnote plugin for CKeditor. As someone with a fair amount of this kind of knowledge but who is also scared of breaking something in the IPB install, I've been searching in vain for the exact information I need. The attached image below shows the instructions; I get extracting the files into a unique folder name, but I am not 100% sure where to add the config.extraPlugins code line. Is that config.js in the CDeditor directory? It's somewhat maddening that their website tells you everything to do except which file to modify, which would be great for those of us who know what we're doing but who aren't familiar with CKeditor!…

Hi, We are big on getting to know our members / customers. With all the data collected on the forums / pages etc is there a CRM tool that can allow us to track and get a better understanding of each member. We want to build a profile on that member and then provide specific content or marketing. Such things as pages visited, topics viewed, posts, logins, messages etc. There doesn't seem to be anything in the market place and the usage of data and getting a 360c of your member / customer is vital going forward to create engagement and avoid churn. I like the fact that IPS now has it's on responsive grid. I'm wondering how I can get the grid to properly wrap. I was reading the documentation and it stated that it will only wrap the grid if the spans are all equal. Hi everyone, I'm building a homepage and I'd like to have some dynamic images with links on the frontpage. http://beta.artofwargaming.net is the current page. I'm trying to duplicate (to the best of my abilities) my current homepage - https://artofwargaming.net The top part of the page has dynamic images pulled from articles. When new articles upload, the featured images/news changes and basically pulls the most recent 3 stories. Is it possible to do this via code in conjunction with the built in database, or would I need a plugin? As always, thanks for the help.

Greetings, I have a gallery that is not view-able to regular members but the images within the gallery are. If they are linked to an image/video they see the image, but the carousel allows them to navigate the entire gallery. How do I disable this? Thanks! Since the upgrade to 4.1.x I have been trying to stop a ton of errors in my server error logs relating to Google apparently looking for the old 3rd party arcade we used to have. I assume it found the link in an old crawl. The Arcade is gone and removed from my server. [error] [client 66.249.64.230] File does not exist: /home/xxxxxxxxx.com/arcade I have a added link on the menu that I added to another standalone Arcade on another hosting account but that shouldn't be the one popping this error as it is a totally different url and server. I'm new to this company, and am using the cloud-based 40 version. Is there a way to turn off the ability for guests to look at members profiles, and still allow them to see some of the topics? I've looked at all the guest permissions, but don't see away to turn off profile views. Thanks.

Whenever I login to my account and visit "mydomainurl.com/forums/" it automatically logs me out. It only does this when I visit the main page on that specific url. Meaning, I can visit topics and anything else on my forum as long as the url isn't just "mydomainurl.com/forums/". After the initial login I'm able to visit the main page just fine because the url is "mydomainurl.com/forums/?_fromLogin=1". But the moment the link is just "mydomainurl.com/forums/" it automatically logs me out... This problem is only happening on Google Chrome, not entirely sure why.. was very sudden as well, I didn't even touch anything that would cause this. …

Hi, I am making my first steps with this software and I am trying to configure the editor. I just added successfully an additional syntax-highlighter. Now I want to modify the defaults for the "CodeMirror"-module. I'd like line-numbers to appear and to activate code-folding (like demonstrated at "https://codemirror.net/demo/folding.html"). But I am not sure where to start. The CodeMirror-documentation directs me to a function call of "fromTextArea" so specify the new defaults, but so far I could not find this call. I think that I am looking at the wrong end. Anybody here to point me into the right direction, please? :-) best regards, Dany

I submitted this to support, but I wanted to see if anyone else had this issue and if there is a quick way to resolve it? No standard users can submit a reply to a topic or submit a reply to a PM. When they click submit, the button will say saving data then immediately go back to the submit button. However, no data is submitted. This appears to be impacting non-admin members. Admins can reply, but non-admins cannot (e.g. users in the standard "members" group). I used the support tool to disable all plugins and applications and it still did not work. I also used the IPS Support theme and it failed. I tried in multiple browsers as well. This used to work, but something…

Hey. I've been toying with forum code for awhile now. I want to add headers and paragraphs to the Footer and start "orginizing them" but im not sure how to do it. I'm not experienced in PHP but i do not HTML/CSS. I've looked at Core - Font - Global - Footer but the code is a mix of several things. Anyone can advice me how i can add Headers, Paragraphs, links and such in HTML inside the forum in an easys way or there is no way for me to avoid it and employ/use the expertise of PHP programmer?

I'm in the process of converting an OLD static HTML (created in the dinosaur FrontPage) site that included a Snitz forums community to IPS. IPS Services has converted the database once to date, and we're working on the last identified issue of paid subscriptions. Meanwhile, I have another group working on converting the 1500+ static pages to Wordpress, taking advantage of Wordpress' ability to import HTML. I should be able to start reviewing that conversion shortly. Then, I'll want to import that data from the Wordpress database to IPS4. I moved from IPS Community in the Cloud to a self-hosted dedicated server via OVH. I have an experienced sys admin and I'm 100% sure at this point it's not a config etc error. Many images since moving have been broken. How can I fix this? Would this plugin help?
