So, few questions as I'm thinking about adding a marketplace for our users to sell product etc... - If pre-setup with admin can someone sell private forum access to a class area? We sell online workshops so wondering if we could direct the sales via the individual users instead of our main website sales page (non-ips). This way they can sell their own workshops. - If users want to sell videos that can be a pretty large amount of storage space on our site. Is there a way for them to host the videos elsewhere to download from our site or something? How to you recommend handling this? - Is there auto contracts setup or something? Hi guys, I am struggling with an annoying problem on my board and I am not sure if this is even a bug or I am retarded.. While here on the official board I can insert media from IMGUR with no problem I can't insert a image url from img on my board. As an example: http://i.imgur.com/M42g7VG.jpg (It's from a game called Crowfall) Here I can insert the image via external URL with no problem. But on my board all I get is this: I tried to find the issue at the ACP settings but everything seem to be okay there! Any ideas what I might have missed!?!

When someone quotes you it doesn't tell you what topic you were quoted in. It just says 'username quoted you in a topic'. It didn't used to do this and it's not consistent with other notifications. I.e. If someone likes one of your posts - it tells you what topic it was in. Is there any way to resolve this?

I have seen this working with IPBoard 3.x but I can't find a solution for version 4 I would like a script that is able to access member data about the currently logged in user from an external php script on the same domain. Hello, Today I updated to v4.1.17 without any problems. I notice however that there are many files on the server (within the IPBoard installation) that have file permissions set to 777 There are over 1500 files set like this. I won't list every file!, nut as well as the uploads directory almost every file (not directory) within the theme folder is set to 777 Is this how they are supposed to be configured? Is there a way to fix file permissions if not? Thanks, Simon PS - may not be related to the version upgrade, just coincidentally I was browsing the files today and noticed it.

I believe I am missing something obvious, and I can't quite put my finger on it. If anyone could offer some suggestions I would be greatly appreciative. I recently purchased IP Forums. I am running a wordpress, memberpress membership website. I'm in testing phase. I have a fake account that I'm testing things from. I have it set up where there is a tab in my membership website that members can click on "community" and access the forums. Works in all browsers. Great! Yea! However, when I'm logged in as an administrator, I'm not able to access the forums anymore. When I click on community, it prompts me to log in, when I do, it sends me back to my members…

Hey I find it hard to set permission for each groups of each toolbar button. What I want to do is set permissions for some of the groups that are not in line with the other. But considering the area that doesnt seem to be possible. They have to be located in the same order what ive found out. Or could anyone tell me how you select groups?

I've suddenly started having errors with member subscriptions. When they go through to the paypal payment via the forum they receive this message Invalid first trial period. You must specify valid values for the A1, P1, and T1 parameters for a subscription. Any suggestions on whats happening? Thanks

Hi, we just upgraded our test system to .17 and activated the ToS-bar but we can not see it. We opened the site in guest mode and also in privacy mode. No bar is being shown. When does it come up?

Does anyone know how to fix this Location bug, instead of reading Location: California, instead it reads LocationCalifornia. This bug is REALLY annoying, and at first I thought it was the theme, but reverting to IPS Classic theme it still has the same issue.

Dear All I am hosted CiC and have always upgraded from within the ACP without issue. The latest update is showing slightly differently and I am a little concerned as I have never seen the message before. When I start the upgrade I get a message saying "The following files have been modified on your installation. By continuing, the changes made will be lost." - and a loooooong list of files. Am I safe to continue or will I lose something?? Many thanks Bill

Hi has anyone implemented Google Analytics' User ID? I thought this would be easy to do as I could just use the ips4_member_id cookie but it's set to HttpOnly so I can read the value with GTM. How have you implemented it? Cheers

Quick question about ads. I'm trying to add multiple ads blocks with different advertisers but I'm having issues. Only the first 300x250 ad block seems to work (I put two ads in that one). but none of the rest are working. do I need to put all the ads in that one block for the side bar? i'd like to be able to have an ad, then some content like popular users, then more ads. All of them are enabled but i don't see the other ad block I set up. Is there a good add-on to help with these ads because this seems a bit confusing so far.

Last time there was a similar bug in the upgrader. Now I get to the FTP details and hit the button to download the update (in the Admin of course) and got this error below. The server is just fine and working like a champ. Something is buggy in the upgrader (latest upgrade just announced Version 4.1.17 of the IPS Community Suite) The www.gripboard.com page isn’t working www.gripboard.com is currently unable to handle this request. HTTP ERROR 500

Hello everyone, While trying to use the html editor for a rules page on my site, I have discovered that a paragraph in the editor and in the preview looks like a paragraph, but when it is put on the page, it stretches the sentences out into one line causing the page width to grow to massive size. Is there any work around for this? I also tried the text editor block but it does the same thing. Any help would be great!

Evening all! I just ran the upgrade, and this is the one thing I can't find reference to anywhere in the ACP. I'm probably missing something obvious, I know.
