So I added the widget but I can't create a status. (Even when I go to create on the top, I can create a topic but not a status.) I used to visit a forum that used IPB 4.1 that had the feature working fine. Is there a minimum amount of days someone has to be a member to post a status? I mean I am the admin so I should be able to.

Sorry for making a lot of topics. I just bought my license today (5GB one). I was wondering where do I find how much space I am using? Just so I know when to upgrade. My forum will be hosting a lot of downloads I don't want it to crash lol. ANSWERED. One more thing, is there anyway to limit the downloads section to specific members?

Hi, During my upgrade to 4.x I had a few issues with URLs. Support helped me fix any issue with the site having bad looking URLs because of index.php/ but I still have an issue with old articles. In short, my old site had article content formatted as such: http://www.ADDRESS.com/_/CATEGORY/ArticleName In my current forum, this type of URL will no longer work. This means old external links no longer work. Well, the title mostly covers it. We have noted that regular members can edit their own 'private messages' always and forever, without any notification showing that the message was editted. Actually, we have noted it a while ago, but we figured it would be resolved in a update. But it doesn't look that way anymore. We're running a pretty basic v4.1.19.4, but the issue is known by us for far over a year now. What we would have been expecting is at least a notification for the other contributors/readers. Hi, I switched my communities to HTTPS some weeks ago. They are as of now using IPS 3.4 (Switch to 4.1 planned in the near future) No I'm realizing that since then (I assume) the CSS files are all integrated into the header but not linked I'm feeling a little bit dumb: Where do I switch that CSS files are delivered as extra files? Not sure if this is related to this issue: I'm using MaxCDN, which works great for IMG and JS CDN-URL for CSS is entered too but doesn't work Any suggestions? Andreas

Hi! I've changed homepage structure and now my thumbnails is with low resolution. I've change in pages database, and work for new articles, but i don't have found a way to rebuild old articles. Is there any way for this? Thanks in advance, S.N.

I've done an initial test conversion, and I noticed that the post messages have the "New Paragraph" look where it was just a new line on the previous software. If I edit this option to Go to next line, and convert again, will the previous look be retained? EDIT: Oh! Just saved the settings, and it's dynamically changed it back anyway Winner!

I was under the impression that our invisionzone.com hosted IP.Board would automatically upgrade, as we are still on 3.4.6 this is clearly not the case. What is the expected way to upgrade a invisionzone.com forum? I've looked through my records and cannot find any FTP details or a way to upload files through the admin control panel. I'm sure that I'm missing something and would appreciate some help.

My community uses a quite elaborate design on Pages. It's initially designed by me, the admin, using css classes and ids. When I opened up editing to the general public, however, we've seen Pages strip the css classes as users saved their updates. So my question would be, are we doomed to break down the classes and apply all the styles individually (which you can probably imagine how much of a chore that will be) or is there any workaround? Not sure If I'm missing anything as to making this easier.

Hello, 1: I would like to know how to open the forums shown to public. Now it lets qeust give the sign up window after they enter the website. Is there a way to make the forum board visible for qeusts to? Not sure if this is the correct area. I posted it somewhere else and didn't know how to move it. But anyway, I lost the number of pages for each forum. That number used to be displayed at the top and bottom of the forum, now I only get the number "1". Where is this code to see if I did anything while I was poking around or, there may be a setting someplace I missed. I upgraded to 4.2 last week, but didn't notice it until just a few days ago. So not sure if it was 4.2 or just something I did. Where is this code located so I can see it. Thanks as always. I'm adding a graphic and you can also visit my site to see it in real time. Thanks.

How do you tell what time (hour and minutes) that a member registered? Anybody registering on my forum has one hour to validate their registration or they get deleted. Since upgrading I don't see anything but the date? Thanks

I recently closed my forum to the public and all I want guests to see is a message explaining that we closed so they know it's permanent (I don't want them to keep checking back or reloading the page) and a place to sign in if they're already a member. If I turn off site access, guests don't see announcements. I know I can restrict permissions to view forums and certain content, but other than signing in and this message I don't want them to see anything. No widgets, sidebars, menu items, search boxes or anything that they can use to see activity or interact with the site if they aren't signing in. Is there any scope for adding a caption using with ips.ui.lightbox? I'm setting up some images detailing how to find our headquarters and I like the idea of it being with lightbox, so that you can scroll through them like ticking off instructions in order. In some cases I can add text to the image itself: But in other instances the text would be too lengthy to be visible like this on mobile. I'd rather be able to add a caption instead but I'm not sure it's possible with the functionality. Does anybody know whether it's possible and, if so, how would I do it?

When you click on the "Unread Content" link/button is there a way to just mark a topic/post as "Read" so it will be removed from the unread content? Sometimes I or my members don't want to read something and just want to show it "Read" without actually going to the topic. Thanks for any help with this

I am sure this is simple and I'm overlooking the obvious here, but my brain is fried and I can't for the life of me figure out how to remove the text, Welcome to Pages! To get started, make sure you are logged in and click the arrow on the left hand side to expand the block manager. You can move, add and edit blocks without the need for complex coding!" from the articles page. I went into Manage Blocks, but that didn't work as it is part of the articles list. I did as you told me I needed to do prior. Here is a quote from another ticket. " Hello Mary, You can certainly still use Paypal as a payment method within Commerce.
