My community is a gaming community, and the game in question provides a "recent in game activity" RSS feed for each player. Some players are quite active, and so they will have lots of activity. Each activity item corresponds to an article in the RSS feed. Is there a way to send RSS feed imports to a single thread per feed URL, instead of creating a new thread for each ... item? Article? (I'm not sure of the correct terminology). Another way to say this is, each time there is a new article in someone's feed, I would like a reply to be made on the appropriate member's feed-thread. Went to upgrade from 4.3.5 to 4.3.6 using the automated Admin process but got a warning. I got a notification of a need to increase memory limit to 128MB. I changed the PHP.INI to 128MB and the upgrade process is stuck now. Can't access AdminCP and the ADMIN/UPGRADE just results in a checksession header which is a blank page. How can I manually restart the upgrade without having to reinstall the entire website? Thanks

Is it possible to have some sort of donation / subscription integration without buying Commerce? Considering I'd only use it for that, to be paying $100 + $35 renewal every 6 months for that product it would be more than I'd be likely to receive in donations.

I'm running 4.1.16 of the forums. I cannot use the automated upgrade from the admin panel due to a bug in my version. I downloaded the latest distribution from the client area. I uploaded all files to the server making sure to overwrite old files. I'm using Filezilla with auto file transfer detection on. I ran the installer from myserver.com/admin/upgrade It executes and I get the results shown in the attached image.

I'm playing with running an RP forum, so I purchased the Linked Accounts plugin. That way any members I have can have their character accounts and their out-of-character accounts linked together. But when I tested it, I wasn't able to sign up my test account with the e-mail address my test board uses. On a previous software I've used, there was an option to allow multiple registrations for any one e-mail address. Does IPS have a similar option? I've been poking around in the ACP but haven't seen anything that would allow that.

Welcome, does someone hava a good way to make an analytics goal for all registrations? Both native and social sign-ins. I got a problem with making it count as many as board is. Also, does anyone have any interesting goals in Analytics? What are you measuring?

I just deleted a few topics and when I look at the Forum Statistics block I see that the total amount of posts did not decrease. The total amount of topics did however. Is there a way to recalculate the total amount of posts? Edit: can someone from the staff move this topic to the correct forum?

is it possible to make the subcategories' (or categories in general) color change to a different color when there's an unread thread in it? i had an older theme that did it, but because i had to change the layout, the newer one doesn't do it. the theme also did it with the icons but i've been told its harder to do that counting its svg icons. if not, is it possible to make the thread title itself a different color to show "unread" as i'm not a huge fan of the unread dots?

I was trying to allow emojis on my test server with 4.3.6. And I get the message below: My tables have collation utf8mb4_unicode_ci. In my conf_global.php I have these 2 lines: $INFO['sql_charset'] = 'utf8'; $INFO['sql_utf8mb4'] = 'true'; What is wrong with my collation? Edit: Can I simply change sql_charset to utf8mb4 or must I convert? Edit 2: Changing above has not solve anything. IPS still suggests to convert. But all tables ARE already utf8mb4_unicode_ci.

I already launched it once, but with too many features, too wide audience, and not precise focus. Hello. I can not log in to the forum on any phone. Mine has an android. The forum has the latest version 4.3.6 and was installed from scratch and has not been modified. When I want to log in, I write with the wrong data and on my computer, my friends work all but you can not log in on your mobile phone. Previously, the forum was on hosting and domain and was the same problem. Now there is a forum for vps and this problem also occurs. Plugins disabled set basic theme.

Hello all, I have a question regarding terminology and how exactly the SQL statements work. Essentially, I want to build a where statement and have each element separated by an OR. However, when I append part of the where statement, it sets it in the binds. First question, what is the binds parameter apart of the Select Object? Second question, how do I build my where statement using arrays to be separated by an OR? I know I know I can manually write out OR and append the statements to a string. I would like to use arrays. I think I may regret purchasing Commerce, it doesn't seem flexible enough to do what I need. The only reason I purchased it was to collect donations and recurring donations. I don't sell anything. Commerce doesn't support recurring donations, so I have just created Products for the one-time donations and Subscriptions for recurring donations. As a result, I'm not using the Donations feature at all. I don't need the Goals feature anyway. Here are the issues I have at this point. The "Store" Menu item and Title doesn't make any sense for me, since I'm not selling products. I'd prefer if it said Donations. I don't see any way to change it. Going to…

A database I've made in Pages aims to make an audio - video gallery. Records added can be a Youtube or Soundcloud link or a direct upload. When an mp3 is uploaded the default Embedded Player does not show but only a link for download. I wasn't sure if this should go under development assistance or not, as I'm not sure if this isn't a built-in feature. But, what's really annoying about Invision Blogs is that every blog entry has information about the blog category. Is there any way to remove that information?
