Chat Box - Sound or browser Notification

i have the standard IPS chat box on my site www.mymilitia.com , is there any way to make it make a sound or send a browser notification when there is a new message or if you are mentioned ?

What standard chat box? They retired chat ages ago.

looks like BIM chatbox. I went to the site to check, now I am on govt watch lists. 🤣

but anyway , i think my site just dont make sounds anymore

the chat box never makes a sound even tho sound is on, and even the ips notification dont make that stupid sound that it makes

i even installed another chat system and the sound would not play

i even tested on my other ips sites and nothing

even had other users try and they say no sound

could there be a server setting or something stopping the sounds?

This is the third party chatbox by @onlyME, so the most appropriate place is to ask in the mod support.  You should check the file.  

If your suite overall isn't making sounds, it might be a browser setting that you turned on.
