Hello, Is there a way to make announcements have pre-defined groups selected instead of "Everyone" or manually selecting the groups each time from the list? I have 3-4 groups I don't want to see announcements at all and it is kinda annoying to manually exclude those everytime from the list. Thanks.

Hi, after converting from MyBB 1.8x to latest IPS Community Suite, i'm having this strange problem with Member User Card, i don't know where to look. Btw., it's not theme fault because it doesn't work on Default theme either. Screenshot: EDIT: Problem solved.. Domain setting was forcing https://, while in conf_global domain was set with http://

Am I the only one missing a " Go to Top of Page" link at the the bottom of every page? I'm using a slightly customized default theme and I would like this function especially for desktops as there is a lot of scrolling needed to go up on the feed and forum pages. Is there such a function and I'm missing its presence?

I have something weird happening on my dashboard, graphical charts doesn't show and I can't add widgets to the dashboard. After checking the source code of the site I came across the line: <script type='text/javascript' src='https://www.google.com/jsapi' data-ips></script> Now checking https://www.google.com/jsap it gives a 502 error. Is this the issue for the issue described above? Thanks.

Hello, Currently with Chatbox it displays member name on one row and the actual message in a row below it. However, I feel like this is space wasted and I could display more messages by showing those in the same row (like IPB3 Shoutbox had). How could I make this change? Thanks!

I am unsure where to post this question (or even if it will get seen) I apologize if this is the wrong place. Is anyone aware of a good "badges" system that can be very customized with lots of different large/small badges rather than just the built-in system? Ideally I'd like to be able to configure automatic badges and also badges based on donations and such. What I'm thinking is this sort of badge / 'micro badge' system that looks like this on boardgamegeek : Thank you for your time and any advice in advance.

Hello, Is there a bulk way... maybe there is a setting I just can't find or maybe it will take an SQL query... To remove all member notifications. So there are just zero for mainly existing but also future users? Then, I'd like to set it so that only Quotes, Tags, Reactions and replies to topics members started to generate a notification. how can I go about doing this? I do a lot of different tests. In testing with my outdated win phone 8.1 IE 11, after upgrading test site to 4.4.0 beta 1 I noticed a issue: - When a browser loading site / forums is default APP /, site is displayed normally, but at about 65% of the time download site, the IE browser is self-closing. - If I specify in the address bar browser another page / any others, but not a forums / site is loading correctly. When a site is already loaded, by the way described above, if I choose forums from a menu, IE loads forums to about 65% and re-closes again. In the new beta 2, this issue again exists. Hello. Since ticket support does not include mysql commands, maybe somebody else can help us. We got a lot of users which got the ban status during conversion. Issue almost certainly caused by wrong status notices in the old vB database. Anyway, we need to unban these users and it's a lot of users. Is there a way to mass-unban them? Or is this possible via a mysql command and if yes, how is this done? Next to that, the user's title was imported to the Invision Ranks, instead of the vBulletin Ranks (which we didn't use). So at this moment they contain html code to an image. We need a mysql command to clear all member ranks because we don't use those!…

Having just upgraded to 4.3.6 from 3.4 I cannot (in any browser) see the Manage Blocks slider arrow at the l/h side of the screen. says "When logged in as a member of staff with the moderator permission "Can use sidebar", you will see a tab sticking out from the left of the site." I am logged on as an Administrator and I cannot see, or find reference to, anything in permissions (or search) about allowing use of the sidebar. It's driving me nuts - it seemed to work when I did a test site in 4.2 - any clues?

We've recently moved our community to IPS, however we've received a large number of complaints from users that the forums don't allow them to easily see number of new posts and threads within a section, from the landing page. eg: "192 New Threads, 2040 New Posts" They can see that there are new posts in a section by the default behaviour, however they can't see how many have been made. Has anyone put together something like this for their forum?

Hi, I have looked everywhere for a setting but cannot find it. When viewing NEW CONTENT as a guest, some forum posts are not showing up in the feed. When I log in, the posts are in the feed. The permissions in the forum allow guests to see forums and see posts. Am I missing a setting or is it a bug? Thanks

I help a couple of friends with their forum. Now one of them had his forum and pages, the complete site working on a domain name, so hosting part is fine. But he needed to change the domain name. So he created the new domain name on the same hosting packages, just another public_html under the new domain name like is usual in Directadmin. Moved all files from the old domain public_html to the other public_html, did not touch the database. Just to be sure ran the ips4.php file before, all was fine. And ofcourse he changed his license to the new domain name. Result: Error 500 and white page, admin page not accessible. Did a complete DA restore from the o…

Hey all, I've been experimenting with the REST API recently but I'm struggling to find something - I can create a topic just fine wherever I like, but I can't seem to find any way to move the topic to a different area of the forum. I have forum in \forum directory and portal app. www.site/forum/portal/ - shows content and widgets fine. Is it possible to have common tags come up when you start typing a new tag on a post? For instance, if a member has tagged a topic with the word "computer" the next time someone starts typing "com..." for a tag, it will give computer as an option? That way it will prompt and allow members to choose similar tags so that they are easily searchable.

I need to produce an articles database as a digital version of our magazine. It dates back 114 years and nearly 1000 issues, so I've got my work cut out! I know how I'm going to handle it: - Create a database - Create a category for each issue - Create individual articles within that category to represent the articles which were in the issue I also know that I could create fields in order to indicate the author's name and column name (ie 'opinions', 'book reviews'). Where can I go to change how links are displayed when using a link field? We have a bunch of link fields for profiles so member's can link their personal shops, but it looks extremely cluttered with the full links showing. Something that allows me to change the output to "Click Here" or something similar when someone adds a link to a link field would be extremely helpful. I'm surprised the option to add link text is not built into the system already since that's pretty standard.
