I’m looking for blogs permission settings; on the module's itself i can select who can access the module; but that’s as far as it goes, i can see that different groups have different permissions for blogs; i can’t find them anywhere; not under the module permissions tab or the blog settings area, anyone knows where these permissions are hiding in IPS4?

Hi I still cannot make my calendar work properly and it adds the previous day as you can see in the image. I have all the correct time zones even on my server so Im not sure why this is happening still. Then when I submit the event it goes to error "something went wrong please try again" .... tried many times but same error each time Can anybody help please? I just realized that the event time zone in lower right hand corner has a drop down box for choices. I will need this removing as my site is UK only. If anyone can help thanks

Hello everyone, since I've upgraded to IPB4.x, my members and I have noticed that the forum is slower than before. I wonder whether there's some tool that checks the database indexes and all those details, because during the period the background processes were running, just after the upgrade, they stopped several times and had to restart them (via cron, via the internal task manager, via the "run now manually" button, I tried them all!) and I'm worried that some operations might have not completed successfully and/or gracefully, although my ACP reports they have. By the way I'm on a 4GB, 2CPU, SSD digital ocean droplet, with nothing else on it. Thanks for your help.

Hi Is it possible to have a fixed navigation bar so when user scrolls down the site it is always on view? Many thanks Also on my mobile phone when I click the little square top right it opens up the nav bar instead of a dropdown of menu links from it? Maybe its a bug or a CJMenu thing so ill mention that to @CodingJungle I'm sure he will know

Currently running 4.0.9 with a dedicated server for both the web application (4 core/7 GB) and database (2 core/7GB/SSD). Both are located in the same colo, but we are experiencing page load times from 9 to 25 seconds. Even had times where hitting 90 seconds. We have tried clearing the cache. Optimize the database to the best our our abilities. We have increased both the web app and db resources with no visible results. Outside of just restarting both the app and db (which only helps for a short time), nothing seems to improve the speed. Any ideas or suggestions on what to do? Other data: php version: 5.4.42MySQL version: 5.5.5-10.0.20-MariaDB

Where are the CSS files for the ACP? For whatever reason, when I set one of my custom themes as default, the links and menus changed. I thought the theme edits were independent from the ACP themes?

Hello everyone, I seem to be having troubles when uploading photos onto a topic on my forums. I am able to upload photos any where else on the forums (ie. profile picture, cover photo, etc). Here are screenshots to show what is happening. As you can see in this picture I put in a valid screenshot It continues to spin. I left it going for about 4 hours and still no progress. If anyone has any suggestions please send them.

In preparing our live community to upgrade to v4, I've been doing some testing in a local dev environment. I currently use the forum login API to manage authentication to some non-IPS resources, and have discovered, unsurprisingly, that this no longer works in v4. Is there any documentation, information or general advice about how to convert this functionality for v4? Kev

Hello, I was wanting to modify the comment area for mobile devices. I found and was able to modify the comment area for desktop users. However the changes don't seem to apply to mobile devices. I was wondering if this is changed elsewhere? The only template I've changed was the one found below. Templates core > front > forms > commentTemplate Any help is appreciated, thanks!

There is a feature on IPB 4.0 that is bugging me and my users. When a user posts two comments in a row in the same thread within a certain time frame, it merge's the two posts. So can it be disabled, I've searched through Admin CP and these forums and cannot find a way to disable it.

I am starting to translate the suite in my language, but I cannot figure out some of the strings. 1. This one is straightforward, no problem here. 2. This one is for the pluralized strings, nice touch. Took me a while, but I found the help article to figure it out. 3. What about this one, though? I feel I am not supposed to translate the stuff in the double curly brackets and just leave the strings as it is, but can anyone confirm? And what about this one with the single normal brackets? Am I supposed to just translate the stuff in the brackets or what? Will appreciate any help.

I'm not usually one to make a thread like this but how long can I expect to wait for a resolution to a critical issue I've reported? I've not had a response from any IPB staff on my open ticket for over a week now. Ticket ID: 922573 Last response by staff was on July 23rd where I was told it was being escalated to Tier II support. I was warned that Tier II support does not work weekends so I was not surprised when this week started with no response. Now it's Friday, a week later, and I fear that no one will even look at my issue before the weekend further delaying the resolution to a very critical issue reported.
