Fresh install, no plugins. Enter a message and save. Then go to add a reply, it does not save. Checked permissions for replies, all good, flood control off. Tried it in Chrome, Firefox, Safari all the same. Any ideas?

I'd like to create a database for stories, many of which will have multiple chapters. Is there any way to either: 1) allow writers to easily insert a page break for new chapters -or- 2) set up the database so writers can add chapters, perhaps by linked records? I greatly appreciate any advice, ideas, or suggestions you can offer.

I'm reposting because it has not been answered and still hoping to get a response that can help me. The site told me to set up a subdomain for IPS temporarily and go from there. I am trying to find a way to set my domain that I purchased from Google Domains on my IPS Forum. Please tell me if I need to supply more information and please provide a response! Anything can help!

I really like the idea of the Activity Streams, so I thought I'd make a custom Activity Stream here to test it out - I always want to know what's new with Marketplace items, so I created a stream based around that: Showing files in Utilities and Stats, Developer Resources, Member Extensions, Staff Extensions, Fields, Social Experience, Multimedia, Bridges and Integration, Commerce and Blocks and Widgets posted since my last visit. Thing is, I've had it running for a week+ now, and every time I visit, it says there is nothing new - I checked, and there have been new items added to the Marketplace within the last week, so obviously I have something set incorrectly…

I have v4.3.1.2 installed, and youtube doesn't seem to embed. https://youtu.be/lU-jR0wc1nY https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lU-jR0wc1nY ... and it won't do for me here .... unless I'm doing something wrong? Is anyone able to tell me how it will embed, please?

I've just discovered that if you put a carriage return, a new line after a youtube url to a video, the videos display just fine. Hope that helps!

I have mostly successfull converted a vbulletin 4 to IPS 3. The only problem I have found so far is that each blog entry is duplicated as a blog comment. So for each blog the first comment is a copy of the blog entry itself. I have tried to rerun the converter several times, but it does the same each time. Is there a simple way I can just delete the first comment for each blog entry? Or some other fix for that error?

I have a Gallery setup and need to know how to find the image urls, so I can use it in Portal Blocks etc. Right now I am using some 3rd party website to upload my images and the use the link URL to display images in my Portal Blocks So... how do I use my IPB gallery to display the image link.. or is this not possible?

I've found several old IP4 topics that were in the beta, feedback, and bug report (closed) areas. I'm not sure if any of them in those areas seemed appropriate to comment in still so I'm making a new topic. I need to include an external file in our template like I did in IP3. From what I can gather the code is {{insert='/home/username/public_html/domain/external-file.txt'}} But that's not working. Any ideas? I read one comment that might indicate the file has to be in the IP installations folder rather then in another location on our site but nobody confirmed. I hope that's not the case. Thanks!

I have to admit i am not the best when it comes to htaccess configuration, so please help me solve the issue i am facing. Invision board is not the only application on my domain. The forum is located in domain.com/forums directory I have another app located in domain.com/app The app is trying to access a page in domain.com/app/admin/index.php?controller=xml_feeds&action=manual_import&feed=somefeed This page is redirecting always to the forum error page. Hi, ive just moved my site to IPS and still learning how to use IPS. there are a few items I would like to know if it's possible to do with IPS. 1. How to show last post info in IPS 4 on topics so that users can jump straight to last post 2. How to show a Facebook like module and feed. Doesn't seem like there is any Facebook plugins in marketplace for IPS 4? 3. How do I hide from guests attachments and links and so only logged in members can see. I used this on my last forum so that users sign up more so that they can see the images etc

Hello there, I bought a server on OVH.pl 2 years ago and its localisation is in France. So far everything worked properly, but now my forum (invisionpowerboard) doesn't work. It doesn't accept my licence code. My website is www.sport.traderzy.pl. Do you have any ideas how to resolve this situation? Should I look for another server provder? My server allow the software to make Outbound connections on Ports 80 and 443. I checked my port and the service is enabled ports 80 and 443 for outgoing calls and connects to the server specified by the software forum. Can you help me? How can I introduce licence code? This situation last 2 days and I lost my users...

Hi All, Made the mistake of updating to v4.1.3.2 yesturday. Now I cannot access a users profile from ACP without getting; A configuration or server error has occurred EX2048 Something went wrong. Please try again. I need to access users profiles in order to activate...therefore can I ask, does anyone have a solution? Many Thanks Ian

I enabled friendly URLs in search engine optimizations and now I'm getting a configuration error in systems tab. Everything else is fine but I cannot access any category or sub-category in systems because of it. I'm unable to revert it as well. We're trying to upgrade http://asoiaf.westeros.org again, but now that we switched it from a test version to live -- which entailed renaming the directory it was in and repointing cloudflare, as well as changing conf_global.php -- for some reason the icon symbols for things like home, etc. are missing. Any suggestions as to what needs to be recached or otherwise done to make them show up properly?

I am attempting to upgrade my 3.4.8 board to 4.1.x. The upgrade seems to go smoothly, and generally things seem to work, but I cannot post content to the forums. When I click on the "start new topic" button, I get a 404 with a fairly generic error code, "1S160/2". I don't see anything interesting in any of the logs, but I'll be honest, I'm not real familiar with the IPB system. Before I hook a debugger up to this thing and step through the code, does anyone have any thoughts on what I might look for? Thanks, robert
