I'm getting spammed to death. How do I disable the comments on my blog posts? I can't even find a way to delete them. Found a way to "hide them" but I need some sort of approval of comments before they appear live.

I just can't see how to do it. It's a normal product although intangible, so I don't set Physical? to yes. So far, so good. But where's the field to upload the files? I'm not speaking about using the Downloads app to allow users to upload their own paid files, as in the Marketplace here, but selling an ebook within Commerce. I want people using our store to spot that there's a category for ebooks as well as all conventional books. If they make a purchase, I'd like them to be able to download them, just as happens with paid files using Downloads. I'm not really sure if Group Promotions and Subscriptions can work together. Lets say I have 3 Commerce Subscription levels... lets call them by levels and price them fictitiously: Level 1 - free (I now there is debate on using free subscriptions, but I do this to show free vs paid, there are other topics to discuss this) Level 2 - $10 Level 3 -$20 Each subscription level moves the user into a created usergroup of the same name with permissions created and increased per level (higher level, the more you can do) Now, if I want to use Group Promotions and automatically promote members to these created usergroup levels on lets say content count lik…

I would like to move some of the links from the "Members" and "Activity" menu items that are created by default to the Userlinks Menu that contains account settings, links to the admincp etc. Would be great if I could group the menu items together as well.

Is there a way to create a custom url to a specific blog post? I was speculating about doing one through DNS and redirect to the blog post url, but i expect that if i did it this way, i would miss out on a lot of statistics like where clicks came from? Any tips?

It’s possible for canceled withdrawal request to not return funds to account. The routine should NOT even mark itself complete until the funds are returned to customer. Canceled $34 but only have $14 in account? Fail! 😢

I'm very new to Invision Community. (I have a cloud community.) I come from a WordPress background (8+ years) and I'd been doing things online for many years before that, so I'm not unfamiliar with updates and such. However, for some reason I'm a little hesitant to update my Invision Community now that I've launched my site and I have members. I think part of it is that I feel out of control of everything -- on a WP site, I make my own backups (of files and the database) and know exactly what to do if I need to restore an old backup or rollback a plugin. Is there a raw editor, namely in my case for records? I want to insert responsive html elements with css (and javascript such as ads) into the records (in my case are articles). The WYSIWIG editor doesn't work for this at all. I have to manually paste code directly into the MySQL database... not ideal. A raw mode to privileged user would solve this (able to post raw html).

I inherited a site on a host that has been problematic, and want to move the board to a different host I have had better experiences with for other sites. Is there a migration guide available showing the best way to do this? I have a full backup from the old site and can let it stay up while getting things moved. I can probably figure this out eventually, but if anyone has written up a cookbook of what I need to consider I would appreciate being pointed in that direction. Thanks Bill

Hello, I'm thinking about expanding available usergroups on my forum since group promotion possibilities have been vastly improved since 3.4. To this day I had only these groups: newbie group for newly registered members user group with more access to various functions when they reach 50 posts a VIP group that is given to very deserving members or donators even more permissions Now that I look at it I think there are more possibilities to make things more interesting but before I close myself in a dark room to do some creative thinking about it all can any of you share what have you implemented in your forums to engage users and keep them wantin…

I'm trying to figure out how to stop IPB from sending out emails to users who are following specific forums. Unfortunately out of the few people that actually use the function, most of them are either not active or their emails don't exist anymore so they're just bouncing. Any way to completely deactivate this feature?

Hi I've created my membership site using IP board , wordpress SSO , memberpress and memberoni. The problem I'm facing is : Members with incomplete payments have access to forums (IP board) . I tried limiting access to the page through memberpress but that didn't work. When a user does not complete payment they shouldn't be able to access forums So my question is : Is there a solution to this ? , does IP board handle this ? Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!

I've only recently updated and I really like the idea of the Fluid view, I really want to make it my default view. However I have a couple of problems. My forum has enough different sections and subsections with their own pinned messages that the entire first and second page of the Fluid view are just showing pinned posts. Is there any way to make specific pinned posts not appear as pinned in the Fluid view?
