How can I add blocks to the right side of the Search results page? Currently, it seems like there are no block positions, and they are only found above and below the search results. I want to put blocks down the right hand side of the search results like the rest of my site.

Hi There! I am wondering if someone has dealt with this... Our membership site will be hosted on one domain and our community will be hosted on a subdomain. We'd really like to avoid our members to have to create separate logins-is there any way to connect the 2 sites or will they HAVE to create separate logins, regardless because it is cloud based?

I'm going to have extremely limited internet for the next week but still have to do my work. Not a problem: I can install a backup of my site locally and develop some CSS, Pages etc offline, then paste them over when I'm back online. What I don't understand is how. I would've thought it involved downloading files, importing the SQL, changing conf_global.php, and resetting the license key to be the TESTINSTALL version. This isn't working for me; my home page is an error (Something went wrong. Please try again. Hi. I'm seriously considering creating a master community and a smaller community which would share the same users on both websites. I've been reading it's easy between 2 or 3 IPS Communities. I'd like to offer one product but at two different sizes, the pricing would need to reflect the change. Likewise with some products I will be offering in different colours but at no price change. Hi, so, I've disabled the font size for the text editor because people abuse it pretty easily - by making text too huge to the point the page breaks. Is it possible to make it where they can only go so big with the font size? Thanks

Is there an option on the admin CP to change the color of the breadcrumb? I'm using the default ips theme, and messing with it's options. I'd rather not add any custom css if possible, so i'd like to change the color of breadcrumb (and the rest of the text on that navigation area, to a certain color. is it possible? thanks in advance

Morning everyone! I'm trying to figure out how best to implement something that lets us put rejected member accounts on hold rather than deleting them. The community I manage is a magnet for pervs, so the membership application has several questions built in to weed them out. It's pretty successful, and for those who are caught that way we can ban them off the top rather than approving their application to join. There are also several cases, though, where something isn't right with the application and we deny membership but don't ban. I'd like to add a link to the display of a profile field on topic view, but I'm having trouble figuring out how to make such a link work. The Display format subtext says you can use {member_id} to retrieve the individual member's ID, but I'm not sure what that would even be used for since it doesn't work in with the friendly links system. I tried this: Where I just copied the link to my own profile, but replaced the part that specifies me with {member_id}, but it doesn't work without the -Display Name. I don't know how to generate that, though. Can anyone advise me? Thank you!

Hi everybody, I want to make only selected member groups able to download the attachments in forums and clubs. Attachments are .mp3, .pdf, .mp4 and .jpg files. But as when I add a .mp3 file or a .jpg file any membergroup can download it even the permissions are set correctly in the admin panel. As an example for .mp3 files a link is generated which anybody has access to who can read the topic. My goal is that all membergroups can read a topic in the forum or the clubs but only one member group can download the attachment. I have made the proper settings in the permission but somehow it does not work - so how do I do that ? Thanks for your help in forward.

I am in the process of setting up a self-hosted IPS forum. I have looked for recommendations/guidance on sizing for my standalone host but haven't found anything particularly useful. I'm just installing a new instance of IPS, and this time i'll try to stick to the default theme, mainly to avoid any issues caused by themes. My first question is, where i can adjust font size for post and blog text? Is this not a setting, and does it have to be done on a CSS file?

Hello, I noticed that I can't install the the CKEditor markdown plugin. When I install it over the acp under the toolbar section I can find the button and I'm able to set permissions which groups are able to use it. But when I try to use it, click on the markdown button, the editor switch like on the source button, but the frame where I can type my text does not open again. Hello all, We submitted a support ticket for direction on how to add moderator tools to search results for easy cleanup. Just looking for the little boxes along the side like in sub forums. We received a response that it's not a feature but there may be a plug-in that can accomplish this. Does anyone know of a plug-in that can do this? I've searched but was unable to find anything.
