How do I restrict certain groups from downloading images in gallery? Right now everyone including guest can download images from Gallery. I want to restrict download to certain groups only.

Have a member who is designated "administrator" as their primary group. I want to make their primary group "member", but there is no other category available in the primary group drop down menu except "administrator". This member also has several other designations in the secondary group. None of those show up in the primary group drop down. What am I doing wrong? TIA

I have switched on to show non-trailing slash url but still google index is showing / version and not non-trailing version. How do I permanent redirect https://carnity.com/classifieds/ to https://carnity.com/classifieds If I do Redirect 301 in htaccess then all internal pages crash as they become this https://carnity.com/classifiedsitem/744-patrol-2014-big-machine-platinum instead of https://carnity.com/classifieds/item/744-patrol-2014-big-machine-platinum

After upgrading to 4.3.6 we have issues with timezones. Some users have 1 hour offset, another 6 hours from their real time. In our custom module we do not allow to enter data with date in the future. Now the user has actually 20.11 but our website "thinks" there still were 19.11 and shows an error. The date is 6 hours after the member's real date. Other users have the same problem, the time difference for them varies from 1 to 7 hours. I am not sure how can I handle the issue? How timezone of user is detected in 4.3.6 and how the member can change it when automatic detection is false?

hi. so, everytime i edit the time in for a coupon, and i click save, it'll change it to another time. so i set the coupon to start at 12am, and then when i save it, it converts it to 5am. which is something i don't want it to do. how do i fix this?

I recently migrated from VBulletin over to IP and am struggling with embedding audios and videos. I use a service called EZS3 to create players and then I used to place the code in a post and it worked. Unfortunately it's not working now. The ones I migrated work but new ones won't. I wonder does anyone have a good solution for video and audio players where the files are hosted on Amazon S3 servers? Many thanks Melissa

I have a huge privacy issue. In our gallery everybody can see WHERE the picture was taken on the map. I have to remove it right now as this breaks any privacy of the user. Is it something I can do without paid plugin? I assume that location is saved in Exif. Or can I modify a template to delete it? What template is that? Thank you and this is really urgent right now.

Hi, We've just migrated to IPB from vBulletin, so bear with our newb questions for the next few days 😊 We've noticed that some users have managed to embed YouTube clips in their forum signatures. I wonder if before this was just a YouTube link (in vBulletin) and has now been converted to the actual video? Either way, we don't want users to be able to put images or videos in their signatures, we literally just want text and links. We have set maximum number of images to '0' for the usergroup but it doesn't seem to impact on this? Thanks!

I'm using IPS for a writing community, and our events are all virtual. So we might have a write-in on Discord, or a challenge hosted in the forums, etc. Would it be possible to modify the venue function of the calendar to support virtual venues, such as a hyperlink, or even just to display simple text like "Discord"? When I tried just inputting text on the street address line and nothing else, the app ignored the entry.

I remember in previous versions it was relatively simple to go into the language pack and change what things are called, but I've been having trouble with that. Maybe I just didn't hit all instances, I'm not sure. In this specific situation, I'm trying to modify some of the Calendar language. All of our events are virtual, not in-person, so I'd like to change some key words, such as "Going" changing to "Participating." Does anyone have guidance on how to best do this? Thank you!
