Sorry, this may be a basic question. But the "Our Picks" section at the bottom of this Invision Community. Is that done with "Pages"?
If so, are there any videos offering training in using "Pages"?

No, this is a core feature. See the Social Media Promotion section under System in the ACP.
I'm still a bit confused.
I've attached a couple of images to help.
It looks like the bottom of the home page section called "Our Picks" is being populated from a Blog. When I click it, it takes me to the blog page, so I assume this is a Blog function. If so, then how does it differ from the "Pages" functions?

Social Media Promotion is a functionality where you can promote content from any of our applications (Forums, Pages, Blogs, Gallery, etc...) to this “Our Picks” area or to Facebook or Twitter.

It's a core function. You can promote anything you want.
In the case of IPS, they only promote their own Pages blog articles which is why seems like the picks might be related to Pages. But in my community, the picks are a broad cross section of gallery albums, forum posts, and files.
