Just wondering if anyone can shed some more light on what is going on here. We have tried to resolve the issue via support tickets, but always seem to get the same answers. We pay for our hosting with IPS monthly, direct debited from the credit card belonging to the account owner (my housemate). She uses this card frequently in the 'real world' and has never had trouble paying for things online. She has a huge limit that she never goes over, so this is not the issue. We have had the card checked by the bank on several occassions just to be sure, for all intents and purposes - the card is perfectly fine. We just upgraded from 2.3.6 to 3.0.5 After upgrade, IBF_Sessions table go corrupted A LOT. I changed ENGINE to MEMORY and innoDB, NO helps at all Server hardware stays same before upgrade at Dual E5420+16G of ram +15K SAS X4 RAID10 (should be enough?) when forum is 1500 people online, ibf_Sessions went dead and then brought down whole forum We don;t even have heavy mod installed, only default recent topics + recent topics pulled from IP.Contents It seems IPS has bugs on ibf_sessions and SQL structure?

It's the little things that add up - and I really like the the watched content block :thumbsup: However, I think it can be taken a step further and made into a real IPB killer feature... just by simply making it easier for the end user to use regularly. This is a prime example of where ajax would shine. People don't like page loads. It doesn't matter if it takes little time but to them, it will seem like it takes longer. So where does it come into the equation? Using it for watching/unwatching topics. When a user is on a thread display page, and wants to keep an eye on the topic they could click the 'watch this thread' icon and a nice smooth menu appears: If…

Just upgraded our first community from 2.3.6 to the latest and have to say, that those Friendly URL's really works, in our case at least. Even we have quite a niche area it was very difficult to get our forum topics to be indexed, even very relevant topics were like on page 20 in Google. Now after upgrading and one day, all tested topics were found from top-10 on Google, many were 1s or 2nd. Thank you IPB!

Not sure if this is a bug.. so I'll shove it here for now. When using a mobile, is the lo-fi skin meant to be auto detected by mobile devices? If I visit on mobile, I have to keep switching skins and vice-versa when using a PC. Getting on my nerves.

Being only 16, I was struggling to get money to buy your product, so at the same time I was hesitating to spend $150 on software for my website. I then had the opportunity to sell an old blog of mine and I got enough to buy IP.Board. I am very glad I did, this is the best forum software out there. I am excited to see what new features you guys will be bringing to the table since I will be a customer for many years to come. Expect me to get IP.Content and IP.Blog in the near future since those are very good products as well.

I am having server loads of 20-100 after upgrading to IPB 3.0.5. My first ticket was replied to me 5 hours ago. The second ticket I filed is very recent but should I expect to wait 5 hours or more for that? I mean really, I have loads of 100 in spikes. IPB 2.3.6 was running sub 1. I have done all the tweaks I can. My ticket(s) should be clear. For record, my latest ticket for loads is: If anyone has any recommendations I am open to them in lieu of waiting on official help.

Add a 'filter by friends' to the recent blog entries, recently added topics.. and recent status updates. This is important for large/busy sites. Furthermore, create a page where all recent site activity is shown (latest threads etc) and add a filter by friends option - so only the latest content posted by their friends is shown.

Since 2006 I have been a customer of vBulletin. Since I really disagreed with there vB4 development I had to look elsewhere I hated the plans and the way they didn't listen to customers. Anyway less of the bashing vBulletin I came over to IPB. And what can I say the friendliness of the team over at IPB is great the next stages of development look fantastic. However I don't like a few features. For example new posts when they are shown they still show old posts it doesn't work exactly like vBulletins did I think this needs changing to make finding JUST new posts simple. Another thing I would like to see is to be able to set a your default font in your settings …

Reputation system + Warning system + Rating system is it a good idea to integrate them better? give others point (just like add point on reputation and give good rating?) , minus points (just like warning?) , moderator could make someone bulk minus point to certain level and member is banned creating points-like system but make it going no where else is no better than just create a points platform?

I often find myself forgetting what all new features come in each new version of IP.Board. Sometimes I'll stumble onto new content while browsing around my Admin CP. So I had a brilliant idea... On the Admin CP Dashboard, I think it'd be really neat if IPS would should a new features list. The list would contain the feature (name and description) and would contain a click-able link to take you directly to the page with the new feature. ...or perhaps just a simplified bulleted list would suffice? :) Anyway, it's only a suggestion.

I converted from SMF in January (after using it from 2003) and i have to say now that i dont have to look back. All money spent here is well worth it. It took couple of weeks to get used to, but now i love that admin panel etc. I also have issued many tickets and allways got exellent service. Those support people even hack database to fix things, so they really fix them, not just post links to tutorials etc. So thank you and keep up good work everyone :)

We like to use our forum calendar to store the anniversaries of historic events. However, when adding a date to the calendar if we choose a start date earlier than 1970 the system falls over. I know it may not be the original intent for the calendar but it adds definite educational value to be able to store anniversaries of historic dates alongside birthdays and events of members.

I like it that only official IPS blog posts are featured on the top right of the main forum page. And also the removal of the Ressources subforum of the official IPS forum. IPS looks more professional now.

Hello, why isn't it possible to use my uploaded attachments in more than one post? If i paste the attachment code from e.g. my uploaded picture in another post, it doesn't work. To habe it in another post i have to upload it again and that way my upload quota and precious time is wasted. What sense does this make? Thanks a lot!

We are on 3.0.5 and wondering how reputation system could not used better? *add reputation button is so small that people could easily forget *total repuation is rated less important than location without showing up topic view by default *lack of integration with ranking system members are asking, what if we get high repuation, where we could go? go higher rank with better forum permissions? download more files? reputation is so lack of integrations that could help increase and "stilumate" forum activities As IPS always say they aim on general usages, why reputation is developed so specific like a dead end YES, all of above could be done by module /hook found e…
