I would really like to see a unified chat and activity system that can be added as a widget on the main forum page. The activity stream widget does not include images for blogs/gallery items/videos. It's just a bunch of text information, which is not very enticing. We're also using Chatbox, with a lot of success, as it eliminates the need for a Discord server. The status updates system could function in this manner, if the process of entering an update was just streamlined a bit. We have a recent images block, a recent blogs block, etc., but it's difficult to fit everything on the page, and the types of content update at different speeds, so some stuff gets…

A little thing but I thought you may want to update theses. Commerce > Store > Products, Product Settings tab This had me puzzled as the tab does not exist for a Product, it should have pointed me to the Store Settings tab.

So it appears the Email Advertisement is for site related ads or campaigns and there is no way to setup any random banner or advertisement from our affiliates / sponsors / advertisers. I would like to consider an opportunity to increase exposure, and site could increase revenue by selling them an ad placement allowing them to create a campaign upload ad and url or some promotion. When other members get typical notification email from the site ( followed content / replied content etc) they email would include a section for site sanctioned advertisers. All advertisers who have purchase this would be in random rotation as emails are distributed.

I still can't find a solution for this. Is it possible to sort topics by start date when the default app is set to forums, layout is fluid so it shows on the main page topics from all forums.

Just like Have I Been Pwned integration with 1Password Blog Post to keep an eye on your security threat level. It would be nice if there was some kind of way our installations could over time work back thru our member roster and once a hash as been made interrogate a list (IPS or other third party repositories) of known spammers that include metrics such as email / IP address to thwart unwanted registrations. Many of our sites span decades and have migrated/converted from other solutions and have no doubt many dormant and un-detected known spammers. If one is discovered and if there is a threshold of metrics (# of posts, length of registration, last log in, etc)…

I'm going to start off by referring to a couple of posts which are just been made – one by your own member of staff and my response And hopefully that extract from the discussion explains pretty well what the feature suggestion is. At the moment you can configure the desktop view quite well – particularly in terms of the sidebar. You can configure it to be on the left-hand side of the right hand side. However, positioning on the mobile view seems to have been left out and I would almost suggest that this might be "legacy" – something that was decided when mobile phones weren't used so predominantly for accessing forums – but they certainly are now…

It would be most helpful if the word expansion feature was something that a select group could be given (mods) where they highlight a word in a post and Define the definition or the link to another resource. From that point forward such words will have expansion. You only think of this as you reading and if a popular term comes up over and over and people ask for a meaning it's tedious to do this ACP task. I consider doing something with a term dictionary via the editor but that is still an active action a user must take where as expansion is passive, plus that too is a separate data island to circumnavigate. when a file is uploaded to Downloads system by adding a link to a file (as opposed to uploading the file) and when a user clicks download link he is then taken to offsite download page in the same window making him leave my site. can this be done is it is opened in a new tab instead? and not make a member leave my site?

I believe there is a serious issue with how ads are delivered--the fact that even though desktop or tablet ads might be hidden to the viewer using the desktop, tablet, mobile check boxes you provide in Blocks, or by wrapping the ad code in the CSS tags that hide them from various devices, the ads hidden from mobile are unfortunately still loading in mobile (in the background, and vice versa, mobile directed ads load hidden in desktop, etc.), which makes it nearly impossible to make money with Google or other network ads for the obvious reasons that Google sends ads to sites based on viewability and click through rate. When making a badge, it has the option to select whether or not that badge can be awarded manually. It would be nice if there were a group select window under that, so you could select which groups were allowed to give out that specific badge. Nicer still if under that you could add individuals who were allowed to.

It would be great if you could add a status-tag to euch of the feature suggestions, for example denied, under review, planned for Version X, done in Version X, already exists. This can help us to see that you take our suggestions seriously and if we can hope to see them in the software some day.

I've run IPS for probably 15 years or more now, and I still have no idea what this widget is trying to tell me. Below, for example, I have 526 users online, and 71.9% of them are using an app that I don't believe I have...it is an app called "System" 😃 After all these years "System" still makes zero sense to me, and it only obfuscates the ability to see what these 526 users are actually doing on my site (I know for a fact that every single one of them is visiting either my Forums, Pages, or Blogs areas, but can't really see how many are visiting my blogs below, and the percentages are totally off due to the "System" slice of this pie. When articles are edited in Pages, they show up as a recent activity in the activity streams, however the date displayed is their original published date, and not the edited date. This looks weird, because we end up have items with really old dates in the middle of a list containing very recent items. A detailed description of this issue is discussed here:

There is a Pages app with the Database connected to the Forum. Every Page has its own topic in forums. The first post in topic repeats the text of the Page. Pages app alters this post every time the pages changes. But it edit the post with the least ID in topic. Not the post in forums_topics.topic_firstpost, not the post earliest in time. In most cases post with the least ID is the first one, but not always in fact. And sometimes Pages app alters not the first post in the topic. I think it would be better if Pages app will get forums_topics.topic_firstpost to alter or at least forums_posts.post_date.

Some kind of indicator that the session has timed out would be really nice. Particularly because when you're working in the customize html and css templates, and you let it sit for a while as you look something up and then come back, it's easy to do a bunch of work in there while it's timed out, then click save to save your file and lose everything you just did.

Today adding new plugins to the CKEditor is a lottery: maybe it will work, maybe it will ruin the editor completely. No previews, no tests, no undo. If a plugin brake the editor, the only thing you can do is to reset it. And add all previous plugins manually again and arrange all the buttons again. Managing CKEditor plugins in Invision Community is a very implicit process. I think Plugin manager for CKEditor will help many Invision Community customers who are not limited to standard CKEditor capabilities.
