On mobile you have to scroll all the way down the topic list to access the new topic button - I appreciate it can be changed in a style, but as default out of the box should it involve so much scrolling?

Under Admin > System > File > Storage Settings > Configuration When Try delete one not used path. Check: I notice on the admin dashboard there is some message of background process, maybe this should be finished? He try to move some file, but I already move some file. For instance, we moved file from: /var/home/yyy/xxx.com/www/forum/ to: /var/home/xxx/xxx.com/www/forum/ This is dashboard screenshot:

Got some idea for improve moderation in IPB 4.0 Now when moderating - to split topic You need to select all posts that need to be splitted. But if there are more post to split from main thread (to the end of current topic), selecting them all is adding some work. I think that it would be useful to add an option to split topic starting from first selected post. It would automatically move selected and all further posts to new topic. Also it would be useful (in my community) to give ability to add reason for splitting which would be shown in first post in new topic. Both things would took away pretty big amount of work from moderators in my (big) community. What do You thin…

Hi, How to speed up the Background Processes. It's moving very very slow. Just 30% for 24 hours for the Rebuilding IPS\forums\Topic\Post, while many of them didn't start yet at all.

I've IPS4 Beta 5b. Every asked question appears in "Questions with no best answer" and in "XX questions in this forum". Imagine how the page will look like if I have 50 questions with no answer/no best answer and I can't even disable this I didn't have such problem in Beta 4. May be it is a bug?

Hi, On my test environment, after the ugprade from 3.4.7 i see that the topic and messages content rebuild tasks are completed. At least I don't see them on the dashboard anymore. But I see that not all the content on the forum is updated. In the same topic, which has 7 years history, I see like on the last page the quotas are alligned with the new format and on the first page the quotas are not updated, from what I assume these messages were not processed. Looks like older posts were not updated.

I can’t find this option from 3.4 in Pages in 4.0. There are options for approval of comments and reviews, but not for the record itself – which will mostly be much more important than the other options. Was leaving out that option intentional or an oversight? Or is that setting now somewhere else? @Matt?

This is a suggestion that I passionately support, since I think it offers a lot of positive ramifications that can spread through the entire IPS community and Marketplace. My suggestion is for IPS developers to offer additional packs of templates for customers to be sold in the marketplace. For example: Additional IP.Pages templates and blocks Additional IP.Blog templates and blocks Additional IP.Gallery templates By selling them through the marketplace, you don't feature bloat the core; it can provide another source of revenue while leaving the support for the forums; and most importantly, it can help pave the way for third-party developers to build upon your efforts…

The " notify me of replies " option is Off by default. And I posted my previous thread in a hurry on this forum. Just wondering how I can switch on notifications on that thread. Also does it means, I will be notified through forum notifications or will it subscribe me to email notifications. It is a bit confusing.

Please consider an option within the Pages CMS app for a specified URL (parent tab or child) to open in a new tab/window. We thought this was an unintentional oversight. One of the first thing's we would do is figure out a workaround for this. We use this software as a community hub and "launch pad" so we direct users away from ips to other ASP's or partners. They want to refer back to the their ips instance w/o using the back button or bookmark. Thanks!

I was reading through a topic regarding search engines on another board, and I came to the startling realization that I also hated the built-in search on IP.Board. With a passion. I hate the search. It seems that someone has already beaten me to the "Thank you Ryan Ashbrook" topic, so this will just have to be #2. Early in 2014, I decided our forum software was not up to scratch, and started looking for an alternative. It wasn't an easy decision, because I'd spent a lot of money building a custom solution in Drupal only the year before. Unfortunately, it simply wasn't adequate, and I knew I could easily spend a similar amount again upgrading it, and it would still never be at the level of a pre-built package like IPB. I know, I had to wrap my head around that title as well. My first suggestion is to immediately rename the boards to match the current nomenclature of the applications (eg. "IP.Pages" "IP.Commerce"). My second suggestion is to spin-off new boards for: IP.Core IP.Converters ACP It will help everyone better track and read feedback specific to those components.

So I created a custom field select box called Country of Origin for people to fill in when they register I added a couple of countries but realized there is no way to make sure people have selected a country If for example the first option is blank or says Select Your Country then when they submit their registration the registration will automatically pick the first option There needs to be a BLANK option that forces a choice in a drop down otherwise many of those custom fields are going to be automatically filled with the first option Unless I missed the proper way to do this...

i have a few custom profile fields asking members the platform they operate on and software version. I'd like to be able to have a system where on first login they can't make a post unless they confirm the values in the fields (allowing them to make a change) and if they haven't posted in n# of days ask again - so that when they post their profile is most current.
