This is one of the few options I am missing from SMF. I know the description sounds weird but it is exactly what it is called in SMF. For large topics having several pages, you sometimes need to split it somewhere from the middle. With this option you could split it in a sescond and make a new topic from the remaining messages . I have looked into it in both 3.4.7 and 4.0 but I could not find a similar option and I thought it could be fine to have

Looking at the status updates page today, I was wondering if there was a way to limit the number of statuses that can be displayed? Also, it appears that anyone can upload any number of images to their status at any time...anyway to limit the images to 1 image per status? Thanks for the help and so far, IP 4.0 is kicking ass!

Playing round with the new content databases - and was wondering if it is possible to include some code to generate a "copy button" which would appear next to a field when others are reading the display template of the record - so they can easily copy the content to their clipboard. this is code[ copy to clipboard]

More than likely being thick here and need more coffee in me this morning but I can't seem to figure out this progress bar image change. I made my new progress bar in my new colors now I want to change it. I go into my resources however and the image a_wizard_step_large.png is not there. It's not only not there but also not in any of my other resources areas. Now it is located in the resource files on the server however with a number string attached to it. I guess I could name my new image to match that string exactly and just swap it out but shouldn't we be able to change this through resources? Again, maybe I'm not seeing something or doing something correctly?

We've just updated our Pages Pre Release, available here to all IP.Content license holders. This release requires IPS4 Beta 3, which was released earlier today. Pages is not upgradable from IP.Board 3.4.7 just yet so please don't try to do this! As usual, please report bugs to our IPS4 bug tracker. Thanks!

I realize you may have already locked down new features for 4.0 but I wanted to suggest this idea for the grid view. I am one of the fans of the grid view. I like the layout and the topic showing at the bottom of the tile, as well as the forum description. I like how you readded the title 'subforums' above the listed subforums. I like how you made all the tiles the same height for a given category. My criticism of the grid view is the listing and sprawl of the subforums. Some show vertically and others are side by side. As I looked at this, it occurred to me that not everyone is interested in every subforum. So here are several suggestions: #1 - keeping the current …

I was wondering if anyone could help me, I know in the old version of content you could pull the first article from the database by adding [0] to the end of the $record, is there a similar way to do this for version 4? For example {$data['records'][0]['breaking_news']}, what would the equivalent be?

if someone made an obnoxious signature and it became annoying it would be nice for them to get notification of the # of people who ignored their signature (not who) perhaps it would encourage them to simplify their signature. On the flip side if i ignore a signature should it be there in perpetuity? even if the offender changed their signature? should I get a notification back that someone's signature that I had ignored was updated? allowing me to decide if no longer want to ignore their signature? Probably not a feature for the core - but hanging this out there perhaps an idea for the intrepid marketplace developers.

Ok just now finally got around to testing this - and was saddened to see that this is not available for 4.0. I was so hoping for ability for my advertisers - allow them to change their own artwork and if need be URL - (with my approval) clicking a check box is so much easier then typing to exchange information via email or support ticket forcing me to have to manually swap out ads, during their campaign. There is no option for the paying advertisers to submit "Smaller Versions" as i can for house ads. - this will be point of contention for any paying advertisers if end users just browse from a mobile device or make their window smaller avoids the their ads. When we upgrade our existing 3.4.x sites to 4.0, will existing fields in our databases be preserved? The reason I ask is because I notice in the articles system inside of Pages 4.0, the Teaser Paragraph field seems to be absent. I use this field often on my site and don't want to lose it. I've also added a few other fields to my default articles database that I would like to have preserved. I don't mind having to redo my blocks and pages, but I do want to keep the data in those fields.

Does any Chrome user here, who is testing IPB 4.0 got problems with slow ACP loading after longer working in it? I'm seeing that after some time in ACP of IPB 4.0 Chrome loading ACP pages slowly - exactly CSS styling - I see ACP page, but with normal checkboxes instead of fancy button switches for some options and I'm seeing high CPU usage by Chrome for some time until it finally load ACP page styling. It is just my problem, or anybody else also saw this?

I noticed that when setting my new theme as default and making changes to it, some of these changes, like text colour, is now affecting the ACP as well. Is there a way to prevent this? Or to select one theme (default) specifically for the ACP? The current functionality is a bit annoying since I don't wanna do a complete redesign of the ACP to match the front-end theme, I just wanna keep the ACP as-is
