One disadvantage of this is that our board database will get a lot bigger.Can you tell the advantages and disadvantages of this new approach compared to IPB3 and Sphinx? It was never that simple... Sphinx support has always required you configure Sphinx. Otherwise Sphinx doesn't know what to Sphinx unless you tell Sphinx what to Sphinx.
