When trying to get to the site today in the usual way I was blocked by Incapsula. What suddenly triggered this? Is this a new thing, or did I do something causing this to show up? I don't like this, and I wouldn't want my users to be faced with this as it could be misinterpreted as MY site being blocked from the user, not the other way around. Potential visitors might just say "TL:DR, that looks fishy I am out of here." Can this be turned off in the ACP?

Not sure what these types of quotation marks are called exactly, but it would be nice if the system automatically converted ' ' " " to ‘ ’ “ ” which look much nicer in articles. WordPress does this and I really miss this feature. Thanks

Will there be a start to finish IPS 4.0 guide like there was for IPB 2.xx? That was the best as it explained things much better than the "documentation" available for 3.xx which doesn't provide much info and is not in any type of order. It would be great - especially since this is completely rewritten - to have a guide I could download and go through to set up / change a site.

I've started a new topic for this as there is quite a bit of discussion around this piece of functionality in and amongst other threads. Before I start, I think 4.0 is fantastic and I would definitely like to upgrade sooner rather than later. So the purpose of this thread is that the 'friends functionality has been removed from IP4'. I've read a number of times that friends have been changed to followers - this isn't the case as they serve 2 totally different purposes and it's really important to take that into consideration. Tough one here. Everything you create from Articles says Latest Articles. Not sure that could get much more generic and the real issue is when using multiple feed blocks on a page to show different news they all say the same thing... Very confusing, looks like you've repeated information. Maybe I'm missing something here but I have no way to edit a plug-in title I can see. Please excuse the crudeness of my example. On the right, we already have the date, I do not see why it needs to be on the left also. I think the space could be used more efficiently. For me personally, I would rather have a visual representation of what the event is about, in the same way it works for downloads. Anyone else agree or feel it is fine as it is.

As I am switching from wordpress to IPS4 I miss the media-manager of wordpress: In the forums you can choose your own uploaded images, but if you have a image-field in the database you cannot choose your previously uploaded images. The image resizing should be optimized for speed performance

Hi, I'm wondering if it's possible to limit the characters in a username. Sometimes users registrate with 3 characters, after that you can't search them because the search limit is minimal 4. someone any idea how to fix this?

I'm currently adding some files to resources and it can take images .ogg files etc which is great and these can be called directly from the resources system. However, I noticed that obviously you can dictate location and directory when add resources. However, when you go into resources, everything is lumped together and you cannot see the directory list, you can search the images obviously but no directory list? Shouldn't a list of directories for the resources be visible?

Is there anyway to fully rearrange the menu bar? At the moment you can rearrange menu items by reordering the Application list however if you have multiple pages added to the menu bar when you move Pages they all move. I have done a test-upgrade from 3.4.7 to 4RC2 and upgraded later to RC3 on a centminmod Centos server with nginx and it worked normally for a while, but sometimes after I logged in to the admin panel I had no css, so only text in the browser, with an error message. After a page refresh the normal admin screens appeared. But on the moment I only see the 'text' version of the admin-screen and no further commands are accepted. The user-website works fine, even when I login as admin, but as soon I choose AdminCP I have this error. The IPS team has done, in my opinion, some stellar work to make this new iteration accessible for people who want to or need to have multilingual sites. Translation is a doddle, and I love that descriptions for categories, menu items, on-screen messages, products etc are customisable depending on the language that the user selects. This is all excellent and was the major factor in my decision to hold off on developing our web suite until IPS 4 is released, since my site must be available in two languages. There is, however, room for improvement. Some of it might even be a deal-breaker for me since it relates to core site infrastructure. Consider the following on my site.…

Hi, In your recent releases of IP.Board, you featured integration with MailChimp's transactional system "Mandrill". We signed up and are very happy with the service and company - so much so that we are now using MailChimp for our monthly newsletters. As I was browsing through MailChimp's system, I came upon an area called "Integrations" - other companies that have integrated their software with MailChimp. An example of this is PayPal. Basically, right now, you open a page, click notification, it loads a couple of seconds and you see your notifications. This is from the Netherlands, I am going to assume it is instant in some countries and takes 5~ seconds in others. I would like to suggest that, when you load a page, it immediately starts loading the notifications and then reloading notifications in the background adding notifications as they come. I believe notifications are integral to serving the "facebook generation" that relies on content being given to them, opposed to searching for it. I'd really like for notifications to be a quick, instant check for everyone.

On the page that takes you to, it would be nicer if the various headings on the left of that page stand out more, compared with the sections under them. Also it would be nice if we could set individual defaults for which one of them is selected by default. I guess for it being called my activity, it's best to have it showing activity, but all I know is I miss having it default to topics. Also, even with topics there, I still miss it being the 3.x way, where you can see all topics you've posted in and quickly get to your last read post in those, not just the ones you started. If "posts" was displayed a bit differently, that could be the same as the way I liked. Just needs …

Hi, The Knowledgebase is really useful to keep up to date with, for example Rhett's guidance on dealing with the non-responsive mobile skin and changes to Google's bot, or the updated Youtu.be Media BBCode which many site Admins will miss. However there is no way to keep up to date with new content other than visiting the page which seems odd. Please can you add a 'Follow or Subscribe' option so we can receive an email notification of new articles? Many thanks!
