1: a TEST button to send out the mass-email ONLY to the person that created it. (this would help find problems that were not caught during the proofreading & before it is sent out to the membership) 2: in the "Variables" options, add: Log In: {board_url}?app=core&module=global§ion=login Lost Password Recovery: {board_url}?app=core&module=global§ion=lostpass (a list of all possible "Variables" would be nice... the 2 variables i listed above do work when sending a mass-email) 3: a filter that would sort mass-email by the gender they have chose in their profile 4: a "PAUSE" button so the mass-email can be paused, edited, (including filters) & …

I've been trying to bring this to IPS staff's attention for months with no success but I'll keep trying because this is important... Please make an option to disable automatic embedding of topics. I was told in a support ticket that the embed does not try to load the entire topic, but I refuse to believe this is true because the time it takes for it to load grows proportionally with the amount of responses a topic has. If a 1-page topic is embedded, it loads instantly, but if it's a 1000-page topic, the circle can be spinning for like half a minute. This is bad for site performance. Not to mention that those embeds are just ugly and unnecessary.

In the inbox, you have a nice looking custom scrollbar that goes well with both light and dark themes. However, there are many parts of the suite that uses the standard browser scrollbars, which tends to look ugly in darker themes. Any chance that you could extend the usage of the smooth scrollbar in the PM inbox to other parts of the suite? It would really help with darker themes, as the default scrollbars end up stealing a lot of attention.

Hi there, That would be super handy to be able to include Google maps (with coordinates) in a post. There is an existing plugin for that… Is it compatible with IPS4? Thank you!

As I'm developing some of my site to grow into a lot of the features on IPB4 I find there are IP.Content and default blocks that are significantly lacking. Specifically the below features: Random (Please return it, I really don't want to do the PHP to pull a random feed if I can help it, it was amazing to have that option in the "order by" previously. Featured Content - Right now the only block that you can build using the "featured" filter is for the forums even though you can feature content throughout the site, it would be awesome if this was universal across all platforms that have featured abilities. For example, the featured Downloads block already exists but only o…

Hello, Suppose I have a topic in a forum (original forum) and I move it to another forum (new forum) then the number of questions count in the original forum reduces by 1 which is fine. So now my net count in original forum becomes zero. Now suppose I again mark the topic to move from the original forum to new forum, the counter for number of questions becomes -1. Then if I delete the topic link from the original forum then the counter becomes -2. So I added a forum, then moved it and then deleted the pointer link and this resulted in number of questions in the forum to be shown as -2. Seems like a critical bug. Please report to the team immediately. Hoping for a fix in t…

A few months ago during the alpha testing on the IPS4 preview site there was an excellent documentation section that provided really helpful information about the CSS & JS framework in IPS4. Please could this be updated and restored on this site? Up until now, I've managed okay without it. However, I just discovered a feature in IPS4 that can be enabled by a single data-attribute in the HTML. This feature in particular is something I spent a couple of days building & testing in my own theme framework. If I had documentation on the framework this could have been avoided. I'm aware there's an old IP.Content export with this data floating around somewhere but I'm su…

Here's a miscellaneous list of small stuff that can be fixed or improved in IP.Gallery: 1. "Select Rows" - Instead of "All," you should say "Page." Because you're really not selecting all photos in the category or albums, only the ones that appear on that page. - You should add an option for "All," which truly does select all images in the album or category, even if many pages. - Also, I don't know why you call it "Select Rows." The user doesn't have options to choose the first row, or every other row, or the bottom 2 rows. Why not call it "Select Images" or even simpler "Select"? 2. Moderation -- When a user uploads an album for moderation, the admin or mo…

When you're writing articles you want things to be simple, like WordPress. For me, the experience of writing on IPS right now is very frustrating and very time-consuming. The RTE should look exactly like the post. There's no point having a preview if it looks nothing like the final entry.Every time I skip a line I get a paragraph with a margin on it. It should really give me a standard line-break; the spacing is too vast right now. There should be no margin on the paragraphs, line-break or not. The way it is now is presumes you want to write large blocks of text; which is not always the case when you are writing in a forum post.Hopefully this can be addressed. it's a flaw …

I love drag and drop widgets in IPB 4. Unless I have missed something, {$html|raw} in globalTemplate is made up of several templates, and not a template container. The template pageHeader makes up part of the {$html|raw}. I would have preferred it on the outside and in the globalTemplate instead. From a design perspective, there's more flexibility that way. Maybe something like this under the breadcrumbs: {template="pageHeader" group="global" app="core" params="header"} In the current state I can move pageHeader codes into globalTemplates, but it doesn't function as expected. Like the {$title} comes out like "Title - Site Name" instead of "Title". I'm not com…

Hi, I've recently decided to re-launch an old project, basically I wanted to give the 4.0.7 a test and I have to say I am impressed. Everything seems smarter, however, just like previous versions I wasn't convinced and I felt before hand I would strongly dislike it. Of course with me using the forums here, I have grown used to the user side of things and I do think it's improved. I like the smart approach to the way the IPS products look and feel, so upon installing it, I was quite excited about seeing the ACP a little more in-depth. Now I must say it seems faster, a lot faster. In fact there's a large noticeable difference between my new site and my existing community…

Hi, I don't know if this is possible, but I noticed this in 3.x and also in 4 (especially where devs upload images of plugins in the download section), that when uploading multiple images, you/they don't have any method to alter the sequence the images display. This is particularly frustrating when you are trying to provide a methodical visual storyboard of images for a addon/plugin, etc. Is it possible to add a feature that offers a preview and alteration methods before publishing? Forgive me if you can do this, but I've always struggled with this.

I'm trying to enhance ipsMenu's slightly by adding css animations to when the menu's open and close. However, I've found that the _showMenu() method is too restrictive and is preventing me from applying any kind of CSS animation as there's no way of differentiating whether its open or closed. I blame this party down to using the show() jQuery method. It's pretty annoying for other devs as there's no class we can hook into with CSS. It's better (and faster) to add a class and then apply styles via CSS. I also had a look at hooking into the menuOpened & menuClosed events to add or remove my CSS class but they're fired at the end of the method so aren't a viable option f…

It's become evident that the new system for storing images is to create a ONE new folder each month. The problem now being encountered is the volume of files being stored in each folder. For the month of May, my folder contains 28,000 files. This is not only slowing the gallery, but making accessing the folder by ftp difficult. Most programs are timing out before retrieving the large directory listing. Could it be possible to create a new folder for EACH day a folder is needed? I would much rather deal with 365 folders with 900 files each than 12 folders with 30,000 files each. Thanks

I opened a ticket to find that the feature I am looking for does not exist in IPS4, but was encouraged to make a post in the feedback forums. First I will provide some of the exchange, and then I will outline what I'd like to see. The information about Easter came from Wikipedia, everything else was found on timeanddate.com I still need to check and see how importing iCalender feeds work in IPS4. Single the Google Calendar API supports RRULEs, I'm going to guess that their Calendars do too. I need to see how IPS4 handles importing a feed. Specifically I am interested in: Can members comment? Can members RSVP?Does the calendar stay in sync, or is it a manual process?B…

Related to the IP.Content application, currently you can only use an a Database in a single Page. Often times you'll want to have different pages that may utilized some of the same data and it seems like a huge restriction to only be able to include a database in a single page, especially since a Page can be set to show only a specific Database entry.

Currently in AdminCP -> General Configuration -> Offline Message it has a box where you can customize your offline message, however it still displays the default message along with your custom message. I feel that when you set a custom message the default message should no longer be shown, as you've already set what you want your custom text to be. There should be no need to customize the offline message in the configuration area AND change the default message string in the Language settings area.

I suggest add metatag for mobile Chrome which changes toolbar color on Android 5.0 and above. This looks much better on mobile template. I just put this: {{if \IPS\Dispatcher::hasInstance() and \IPS\Dispatcher::i()->controllerLocation == 'admin'}} <meta name="theme-color" content='#417ba3'> {{else}} <meta name="theme-color" content='{theme="main_nav"}'> {{endif}} And everything looks that: http://imgur.com/a/vMMVo (i censored frontpage and url). What are you think about this?

Maybe I'm missing a setting, but if I create a database template, I don't see an option to revert a template I edited? To get back the original codes, I have to copy and paste from the IPS original. That doesn't make sense when I can revert layout templates and CSS. There should be an option for database templates as well. I also don't see an option to delete the database template group I created. I can delete the sub-templates within the group, but not the group itself. That too doesn't make sense.

At the moment you can select how you wish to have your blog frontpage display articles. You can order them by comments, date, title, etc. However, there's no option to do this for the blog categories. By default it is filtering the category by record number, but I would like to filter by date. At the moment, the best I can do is selecting that order from a drop-down menu – which is problematic when I have to adjust the article's publish dates and the order is out of sync.

After i log a call for support for RSS import, it was propose to post request here. When we want to import RSS looks like the suite request a channel «...It looks like it is because they do not include any channel information within that Feedburner....» The same RSS feed use in other RSS reader work fine So the request is to make sure we can import any RSS feed. Example to validate, if Outlook/google reader can open it Invision suite should be able too. In my case this is important as I have multiple members having external blog or partner with RSS feed. In a near future I look to establish partnership with partner where RSS will be one way to exchan…
