Steps: 1. Enable Designer Mode 2. Open custom settings for you theme in a new tab 3. Disable Designer mode. 4. Can still modify custom settings from the previously opened tab Which would be all cool however when I tried it - it corrupted my theme entirely and I had to create a new one and then restore the theme by swapping on *_set_id's over in the database directly. I was not able to download my theme, or edit any settings as a result of this

OK, so this is a pipe dream, and will probably never happen, but I want to throw it out there. One of the few reasons I as a third-party developer for IPS have left for maintaining my own site is to host a Tracker for bugs and feature suggestions on my products. Having a Tracker for a larger project is extremely handy as it lets me organize the bugs and suggestions in one central spot instead of having them scattered throughout random posts in a support topic. I link to my tracker category for my files I submit to the Marketplace, but (nearly) every time I suggest to my customers that they file an issue in my Tracker, they either question how to do that or why they …

In IPS 4.0.13 I was promised in a ticket that the calendar problems would be fixed. However this is not the case and the calendar is still not working. I also see nothing that says they are sorting out the calender in the forthcoming release for 4.0.1. https://community.invisionpower.com/release-notes/ Well for me that is going to mean goodbye to IPS. My business relies almost solely on events and if IPS dont care about the calendar then I'm off for sure. No question about it. Been batting my head against a brick wall for a few months now with this Calendar for events. Anyone know of a good forum provide that has a first class calendar? Please let me know asap cheers

I know that we can set permission to set who can see reputation on posts and in profile etc but can we make it affect notifications too? Because i have it so only staff can see it to avoid tons and tons of drama caused by people 'Barneys Girlfriend'ing over getting negative repped. And it seems that the notifications still include the person who repped them? Can we make it so it does not display a name in the notification if they dont have permission?

Is there no way to browse all members in IPS 4? Also is there a way to see who posted in a topic and how many times like in previous versions by clicking on the number of replies.

I am wondering if there is any block that can be set as "filter by tags" that i can set visible in the topic list view of some or all forums. It would be mindblowing to have the possibility to combine Ryans plugin "Tags and Prefixes" with this functionality

seems a bit redundant to have 2 seperate comments section under 2 different names. Both serve same purpose so merging would be better on my site i have several 100 people who copy paste their msg on file reviews and comment section and it just feel pointless to have both comment section up. i cant disable comments because of someones bright solution the conversion from 3.4 all file comments were moved to comment section and to vote for a file you need a file review so it forces me to have 2 comment section enabled because i want the old comments to be there while i want members to rate the files

I think it is prudent to request that a "Yes/No" field in Pages be something you can filter by without having to switch to a select field or radio or checkbox.

In the Admin CP there is a widget that displays online admins. In the widget there is an arrow that will take you to where the admin is. When I hovered the arrow to the right I expected a description / breadcrumb / page title in a tooltip of where they were. So I don't necessarily have to click on the link to find out. But there is no information offered when you hover it.

Hello, While I was playing around with the demo one thing I noticed with commerce is there does not seem to be any good support for local pick-up, Yeah you could add a custom shipping option and call it Pick Up but that feels hacky as the buyer would still need to enter shipping info.

These two menus only work if you select an app. But it can be confusing when you first get to the page. If it is empty due to the choice on the left some think there is none at all, and if there is content there, some think that is a global list. Can "All Activity" be added to the top, and it defaults to that? This would solve it. Then you filter with the choices under it if needed. Besides being confusing to some members, it would be great to have a list that includes all as well! And anywhere else that uses that menu set-up. Thanks

The Who's chatting block should have the option to be hidden if no one is in the chat room, like the birthday and events blocks do if there is nothing to show.

What I find PM system should have or needs to improve by feedback from my members: 1. Topics pane on the left lacks participants information. If I'm the starter and I replied last, theres no way to know whom I'm taking to without opening message. Theres only information about how many members are in specific conversation if I roll over the number. If I have many conversations with the same title, it's a bit confusing. Solution should consider mobile version as well. 2. If theres more than 1 page of replies, clicking on title it takes me to the first page. At least my members find it should take you to the last or have an opportunity to select last page from topics pane. 3…

Have asked this a few times but seems to get nowhere With the Menu when creating menu's in Pages why not have it so that can have option to show only in Pages or in all apps In Pages might want other links to other Pages and make the IPS Apps in their own menu drop down but might not want all the same menu's showing in other IPS Apps

I upgraded from 3.4.8 to 4.0 yesterday but since I did it, two things are not working properly: - Mobile site isn't working. It keeps saying your mobile device must allow cookies. This has happened to every single one of my members and all of their devices allow cookies. No idea how to fix this. - My website is logging out users every time they leave the site (another cookie issue). Apparently the forums are not saving cookies at all and so it's logging users out constantly and they have to log back in every single time they come back to the site. How do I fix this?? I'm already integrating IPB with a larger site that has its own navigation, and I really don't want an extra row of tabs... "Browse" vs. "Activity" doesn't even make that much sense to me, since when I'm looking at activity, I'm actually still... browsing it. Will there be an ability to keep the existing, single-row menu navigation in 4.X, or will these high-level categories be ruthlessly foisted upon us in 4.1 and only removable with template edits? Please reconsider if it's the latter...
