I'm in urgent need of a custom RSS export along the same lines as pre 4.0 I've upgraded one of my forums to the new version and with this missing I really wish I'd not made the leap as the RSS export was critical to gain site traffic I'm not going to upgrade my other forums till this is available or may even have to move to a different forum software as it's so important to my needs Are there plans for this ?

In ip.download i still can't empty a bad (cause by digit error... or duplicate release) file release. is possible to have a small fix to delete/clean from download list (only from admin, or with permission, or remove if file do not exist anymore in server...)? regards...

okay, lets say i have a wordpress blog as my primary domain and my ips forum on that domain as /forum/ i go into login handlers and i enter in the wp database information for external databases should i be able to then log in with a wordpress account on the ips forum? really surprised at the lack of documentation on this, been trying to figure out what this would do.

Hello there, I think advertisement application could be better. I need one option. I' d like to exclude some page to view my advert. For example I don't want to show advert in blog so: "Just above the page footer" should have more option.

Re my post here; I have a use case for this that I cannot believe, for one second, is unique to me. As the permissions stand now, it appears I cannot prevent certain groups from using the messenger. Previously this could be restricted on a per group basis. In my case, I don't want new users having immediate access to the messenger as it's a route for potential abuse and spam. This becomes even more important if a member is banned. Currently they simply re-register and immediately get access to the messenger, even if their forum posting rights are restricted. Please reintroduce the ability to prevent user groups from accessing the messenger.

My community has adopted and will extensively rely upon IP.Gallery in the newest IPS 4, and my members have been uploading photos left and right. It's made me aware of some shortcomings: 1. When one of my registered members uploads a photo, the notification says "Guest has posted new images." It's not a guest, it's a registered member. I happen to know it's a registered member because when I get an email of the same notification, it displays the member avatar. 2. When all permissions for image uploading is turned off for a category (because it's meant to serve only as a category title, not a container of images or albums), IPS still display 0 images. You don't say?…

hello, on ips4 there is a way to make field editable/available only for specific group?...try to explan:....field1(title) , field2(description) , field3(plan choose by moderator) , ....the field 3could be a multiselect available only for admin/mod?thanks

Hello, Recently I filed a ticket about many issues I have had with IPS over the years and how I felt things had gone down hill. Since then even though it has only been a few weeks I am happy to report that it looks as though management actually listened to my concerns and addressed them. Thank you Lindy and the rest of the management team for a job well done. Hopefully my feedback will help make CinC better as it has general support. Hoping for more good things in the future!

This theme design issue has been plaguing me for some time now and it is turning into an obsession. In 3.x We could call up a team icon per skin theme as so. How do I go about creating a field in 4.0.x? As of this moment it can't be done. I like the fact that we can place blocks wherever we want in the frontend. However, I wonder if permissions for these blocks do exist somewhere? Let's say, for example, I put the "Latest Topics" block in the sidebar, but I want it to be visible to logged in users only, how would I achieve that? Clicking on the Edit button doesn't do the trick. There I can only choose a number for the amount of latest topics, that should be displayed.

I was thinking if for future versions you can enable a setting in CPU Saving & Optimization that would allow you to record the last change made to every "Settings" into acp within an Logs, and the latest release of information where you need it: (this is example for time, but for "by" is floated that) into cpu settings we will have example:

Pardon if this has already been suggested, if so. Please disgregard. I am not a fan of the new Messenger at all. We have to now "leave" conversations which do not delete, atleast not on our case. Also, it's not very intuitive. You must select each message individually and then leave the conversation from there. Is there an easier way to remove selective messages without having to empty the inbox, or leave each one.... one by one?

Currently someone can sit on their post slamming refresh over and over and jack up their page views. This could be eliminated by adding the post id to a session variable, and only count the view if the post id did not exist within the session array already. This would then at least require the user to logout and log back in to count themselves for another page view

It would be nice if there was a Widget on the right side of the Marketplace that showed me a listing of My Purchases and ranked by last update ( version not comments ) so that you don't have to hunt them down. - Since none of the apps i've purchased seem to work with the Update check via the ACP, and some like themes most likely won't ever have update notifications this way.

1- I suggest to update the orphaned file tool to add and option to allow moving the files identified as orphans into a temp folder rather than deleting them directly ( as an option). 2- Also there is a need to a similar script to identify the posts that has attachments , but those are not in the uploads folder

It is, no lie, a giant pain in the ass to format/theme the search box. This attached controller handles the population and submission of the filtering elements and that is great and all but the same controller also fades and hides the filter box and other junk. You can CSS around some of it but without disabling the controller entirely some fade elements will still fire leading to bits fading out and immediately reappearing. If this was just a .js file that contained nothing but theme elements it would be fine under the IPS terms and conditions to rip it apart and so on but this is a full-on js controller so I can't hack at it and package it up with a theme without violat…

IPS 3.4 has an option to deliver JS directly from google. IPS 4 does not have this option. Please, bring the canonical JS back for the most common JS files for our communities to take the advantage of the visitor's browser cache. https://developers.google.com/speed/libraries/

i have no idea why there arent. having several widgets such as speciic announcements that are for members only and not for guests so it shows inappropriate information to guest. you give us less ability to control what guest can see which is important for first time visitors to give them a good impression and having too many widgets that are member oriented information isnt helping them to stay

Was asked per ticket 923623 to post a feedback forum topic. This worked fine in 3.x until 4.x , I could always just edit the redirect via SQL, but why should I have to do that? The links still work in its current state, but I wanted to update the description.
