Was this really removed? A lot of our members and staff liked being able to remove their signature from individual posts for various pinned topics, etc.. that their own signature didn't need to be listed for.

Unless i'm being blind, I can't see an option to make custom Activity Streams that are for everyone. As an admin it would be great if I could do this. People want to see all activity but don't want to necessarily see that Thread X was posted by person A 1 minute ago and Person B 2 minutes ago. They just want to see the latest post. Thoughts? Is anyone else having a similar issue? found a solution?

It seemed like I cannot follow forum or topic on mobile. Is it a known bug?

When categories are turned off for a Pages database, the records are stored in a hidden default category “Records” for that database. It looks like this category name is now exposed in the 4.1 streams: [Someone] posted a [something] in Records. But if categories are turned off, there is no way for users to change that name, nor should there be an need to change it in the first place. It should automatically show a useful term derived from the database settings. The link itself already correctly falls back to the database’s main page, not a category link.

Just curious why you did this, and why we don't have an option to turn this on. I have a relatively new site and cant tell if they are even visiting my site. Plus what about the ones that may be going overboard and I have no clue? I am having considerable issues and not seeing this is making life extremely difficult.

I might have posted this before (I'm dyslexic and have a terrible memory, sue me ) but anyway, here goes... The browser notifications built into 4.1 are brilliant, I don't miss a trick and respond quickly to stuff. Great. What isn't so great is that accessing a notification from the bottom of the screen, if you're quick enough to click it, does not remove the very same notification from the bell at the top of the screen. I still have a notification there after having dealt with the notification already. Can these be linked? If either one is used to access a notification (e.g. go to the content the notification is for) then the other one should be marked as read/…

This one would be of great use to my moderation team: it would be awesome if in addition to being able to filter the stream down to a specific set of members, if instead it could be "members who joined in last N days", "members who have fewer than N posts", that sort of thing. It would be great to be able to see what newcomers are doing so we can offer them help more efficiently.

Hello, It would be nice to have a new type for custom profile field : URL In 3.4.x, if you want member fills out a url in his profile, you can only use the input type and to display it, use this sort of code : <span class="ft"><a href="{content}" rel="external">URL</a></span> With this method, there is a problem if member does not put 'http://' at the beginning. Eg. www.invisionboard.fr In forum topics, if you click on 'URL' link of this member, you browse http://yourcommunityurls/topic/63651-one-topic/www.invisionboard.fr If we can have a url type instead of input type, IP.Board can fix automatically the 'http://' forget and the li…

In IPS 3.4 you had a solution that would save the topic views to a separate table. Every 3 hours it would then run a task that would update the views-column for the topics-table from the data gathered in this separate table. In IPS 4 you dropped this optional method and went with LOW_PRIORITY updates, which solves a problem where lots of queries to update the views-column in the topics-table could frequently lock the topics-table. However, this is still far from ideal for big communities with a lot of topics and visitors present. As it means that the query cache, for queries involving the topics-table, is very unlikely to come into play. As a consequence this …

Using .ipsGrid can be useful, but I find that I often have to add extra CSS because I find ipsGrid_collapsePhone or ipsGrid_collapseTablet to waste too much space. For example, I want to be able to say: I want this column to be 1/4 (ipsGrid_span3) on desktop, 1/3 (ipsGrid_span4) on tablet and 1/2 on mobile (ipsGrid_span6). An example of where you could utilize this yourself would be the staff page. Currently I have CSS-rules like this: @media screen and (max-width: 979px) { #klikkfeedBottom .forumArticleFeed li.ipsGrid_span4 { width: 48.93617021276595%; } } @media screen and (max-width: 767px) { .ipsApp .tekPopularForums .ipsGrid > .i…

I would really like the ability to create streams based on topic and content etc. creation date and not be sorted by newest reply. I do have requests for this. Members see how the widget works for new topics and want a longer list. It would actually be cool also if the widget had "get more" results. Thank you!

I'd love to see every developer be required to put their license when listing a marketplace item. I want to know the terms. Can I use the mod on 1 or 100 sites? Is it going to cost me $40 for the mod or $120 to use it on 3 of my sites. Several mods I looked at don't even have licensing terms, there were a few exceptions. I shouldn't have to comb through a support topic or visit an external website to find the licensing terms. I don't want to read the license after I purchase it (inside the downloaded folder) and realize I can only use it on one site or that my shoes have to be blue to use it on Tuesday's. Thanks!

I think a great addition to the "Follow member" system would be to give members the ability to chose what types of content they want to follow from the given member. For example, say there's a developer here I really like. I'd love to be able to follow them to be informed whenever they post a new file to the marketplace. However, they are a very talkative member, and I really don't want to be flooded with notifications every time they make a post or status update. I just want to follow their marketplace submissions. My suggestion here is simple in concept. Allow members to optionally choose what types of content they want to follow from a given member. This woul…

Subforums look like this: Would look better like this: Because they look especially disorderly when there are mixed read/unread like this: Also the comma is not needed since on mobile they are a vertical list only. @Rikki, what do you think? Thanks

I like the new menu manager. Has some great possibilities. One should be able to rename a Menu item already in place.

I know that Invision currently supports basic SSL certificates in their Community in the Cloud offerings. Considering that we are now asking people to input their credit card information directly in our sites (at least for some payment methods) it would be REALLY nice to offer Extended Validation certificates so that our donors/purchasers can be confident that their connection is both encrypted and authenticated. I teach computer security classes and my advice to students is to never enter financial information unless they see the green bar.

This may apply to the tech support areas as well but my brain has already switched to calling the old IP.Content into calling it Pages. Same for Commerce. Would we be able to get the prefixes updated in the Product Feedback forum?

In 4.0 I've been using Pages to create my menu structure. One of the features that's been missing for me is I have a few menu links that link to other parts of my site and other sites but I want them to open in new tab. Basically a checkbox for custom links to add the target="_blank" part to the URL. I checked out the Menu Manager video hoping that this option would have appeared but I couldn't see it. It's a super simple addition that I hope can be made for 4.1 final.

This is kind of silly, It would probably be worth disabling the notification if no "commission" is actually earned

OK I love the new menu manager. This is a great way to add stuff to your menu. but what if we had more options. Lets ay we have a "Pages" section where we can select a page to add to our menus and sub menus. What if we had this option for all apps. so say Gallery and Downloads we could add categories that we want mour members to have fast access to. or promote.

Why doesn't clicking on the update time on posts within Activity Stream take you to the last post instead of the first post? Ringed in red. 1. This doesn't seem logical to me. 2. It doesn't follow convention in other parts of IPS4.X 3. It doesn't follow IPB3.x convention.

The bottom pagination on Private Messages seems to be the only pagination not located inside the 'buttonbar' (the top one on the page is). It's not a huge ordeal that it's not; however the way the pagination is setup, it puts a 0.1 transparency over the buttonbar for the pagination buttons to give them the design they have. Thus the design is based on the buttonbar color. However since it doesn't exist there, the pagination style breaks for themeing and requires additional edits / work-arounds that shouldn't really be necessary. Hopefully the buttonbar is added to this pagination in future updates to make themeing a bit easier.

Hi, In previous versions, while in a topic view, there was a link to go to the last unread post. Now that link does not exist. Could we get this back? Regards, Ibai
