The current profile content explorer adds to any member the links of content discovery even if the member belongs to a group that has no permission to post on a Pages database. So, it's obvious that the content count will be zero. I suggest that that content explorer follow that permissions of the member group (not showing the content type that the user cannot post) and would be even better if were exhibited only the links and the posts count of content type that indeed have content posted by the member of the browsed profile.

Would there be any chance that you could allow Plug-ins to be installed while IN_DEV mode is activated? You can install an Application, but not a plug-in? This does seems rather bit inconsistent this or is there a reason for this?

Right now, when one conducts a site-wide search, one gets a list of search results with an icon at the right specifying the content type (e.g. forums post, blog post, database entry etc). If there are a lot of results, and one is looking for a specific content type (like all the blog posts dealing with X), then it can be a bit tedious looking through the entire list to round up all the instances of blog posts. I think it would be great at least to add an option to Sort By Content Type, or even better, in the Search results page, to have a menu allowing the user to dynamically filter out unwanted content types (checkboxes for blogs, forums, databases, gallery items, …

Hey, Currently the only default cloud storage method provided by IPS is Amazon S3. I would like to see support for Microsoft Azure blob storage added as a default option under storage settings. I got this working myself using an old plugin from the Market place, I did find some bugs which I was able to rectify (such as certain theme files not deleting). I really would think this would be a decent second storage provider to add as a default supported by IPS.

Recently installed Gallery and it is an awesome module to put all images in one place, but viewing in lightbox with left-right nav is very small. How I can increase that viewer size to show atleast 1200 x 800 pixel size pics with left-right nav? https://carnity.com/gallery/image/67-dsc_9220jpg/

So far as I can tell, the only way to get a record of the specific files a Member has downloaded on your site is to click their IP address. This, however, is not a perfect solution - especially if your Members log on to your site and download with more than one IP address. Could we add an option to view all of a Member's downloads connected to their account irrespect of what IP they are using at the time? If such an option exists, I can't find it.

Hi, Since IPS 4 "Tags page" use relative content from whole Apps, (Not the contents just based on one app), these pages are very looks like to the portal pages. so i suggest a little option here, for making pre-define Tags on ACP. like that: Tag name: XYZ Tag URL: xyz Tag description: This is all contents we have about Game/Film/whatever name XYZ ?! So people when open tag pages, they have a small description about whatever it is. it's very useful for both users and search engines.

I have a Forums Post Feed block on the front page of my website, but I notice that the Feed in fact displays entire forums posts. This means that, depending on the length of the posts in the feed, if you have a Post Feed in a column it can end up completely imbalancing your site's splash page! It would be a great idea if you truncated each post in the feed to, say, 5 or 8 lines with a Read More... link at the bottom. This would not only economize space, but also encourage users to click through to the forum or post and engage more with the site. In fact, you already do this with the Blog Entries feed, so it makes sense to extend this to Post Feeds as well. …

Two suggestions: I think that in a new software update, IPB should have it to where status updates are automatically enabled and the member doesn't have to manually enable it. Too many people complain about this on my forums and it would just make everything easier. Second, IPB should allow you to export ban filters from one site and import into another. This would be helpful with having two forums and wanting the ban filters to be the same, without wasting hours inputting the other site's ban filters on the newer site. Thoughts?

It would be nice to be able to chose which forums can feed into new content. I understand you can filter but it would be nice to filter without the end user doing it. Maybe an option in forum settings like a simple check box to include into new content? Kind Regards

Would like to be able to use custom templates - can be just slight variations - for different forums depending on the content of those forums. For example, show a Twitter feed related to the preparation of dairy products in a forum which focuses on dairy recipes. Poultry dish prep twitter feed in a forum focused on poultry recipes.

In IPB3 it had a standard tool, that administrators could choose the maximum avatar size in topic. This is very useful in square format. Not everyone wants a small avatar in their community.

Hi, we have a subforum with around 5000 topics and we want to move them to different other forums. We began to select all topics of one category and then we tried to switch to page 2 BUT all selected topics were gone! That's very disappointing. In topic view I can select posts over more than one page BUT I can't do this in forum view. Why? How shall I split all those 5000 topics into different forums without this feature? Now I have to do this procedure for every single page. This will take days.

Hi, With the help from the support team, today I discovered the "Meta Tag Live Editor", which allows us to edit the keywords, description, and other meta tags from our pages. However, this feature is only available to admins. This is an issue for us, as we need to allow the users who post the articles to edit those. I see two solutions that could be implemented: 1. Allow us to configure which user groups would be able to edit the meta tags and add a link to the live editor somewhere at the front end. 2. Display the meta tags as editable fields when editing an article. Because nowadays, an admin has to manually add those after an article has been insert…

Hi there, This is a suggestion for improvement in a future version. When we merge two topics, the subscriptions from the topic that is being merged are lost, instead of being updated/carried on to the new topic. By subscriptions I mean notifications (e.g., user is subscribed to receive an instant email notification when there are new posts). The support department replied me saying that this is the intended behavior, as they didn't want users receiving notifications for topics that they didn't subscribed to. (Well, I don't agree with this interpretation as they were subscribed to the topic that was merged...) Cheers, Gabriel.

When we add records to pages database via some script directly in mysql table - this records isn't indexing and their content can't be searched. Only rebuilding all search index helps. How it's possible to fix this or - if this is a bug - can it will be fixed in next releases? Is there way to rebuild search index only for selected pages database or, at least, for pages component (without affecting all other data)?
