Hey! I'm talking about Forums without read permission. Those forums where only users can only read and see their own posts. I guess, like me, others use these forums like a "ticket system" between mods & users. Maybe they use it too as a sandbox. My problem is that users rarely read the rules of the forums. I think it would be a good idea to have an option where pinned topics would be visible for everybody. Pinned topics and only pinned topics. This way for example, moderators could post closed pinned topics with instructions, which are more visible to users. Short and easy instructions. Being able to see when a user was last logged in can be very useful, but not all like the possibility that others (their boss for example) can check their forum activity in detail. I suggest changing it to something like: Last visit less than 2 days ago Last visit less than 30 days ago Last visit less than a year ago Last visit more than a year ago. Using a system like this should make the option of hiding last login unnecessary.

Right now, if the pictures you post have a "taken on" date in the EXIF data, Gallery does not show that date. You have to view the raw EXIF data to see it. It would be really nice if you could have the date and time pulled from the EXIF data and displayed in a friendly format automatically in the sidebar of the picture. Bonus points if you could also set pictures to be sorted by the day/time they were taken.

I was under the impression that IPS Connect will no longer be supported starting with 4.3. Can you confirm this is the case, because I still see IPS Connect relevant info in the developer docs: https://invisioncommunity.com/developers/docs/members-authentication/developing-single-sign-on-sso-integration-r65/ My company is looking for a way to integrate login in IPS via our application, but without developing full-on oauth solution.

I appreciate you passing it on to see if we can expand options going forward. Since our forum is specifically made up of high school students, it would be great if the "middle-finger" option weren't put in front of them every time they try to add an emoji since it doesn't express the kind of encouraging/supportive vibe we're after. ? In the future, if there were some way to "turn off" certain ones, or maybe more simply to have an additional "safe set" or "student set" that didn't include derogatory images, that would be great. Thanks for your consideration!

Currently in IP.3 and I believe IP.4 too, the checkbox for 'Send me news and information' is checked by default. There is no way to change this in admin. Campaign Monitor and almost all other email providers do not allow this as a way to subscribe to a list and it very much goes against best practise as well as email legislation in some countries I believe. I think it would be sensible to provide an option in admin to check/uncheck, or simply have it 'unchecked' as default. Currently, it's not ideal. Cheers, Si

I would like to see that all content would allow you to include the Publish Date and Time setting (Forums / Blogs / Database / Gallery / Calendar/ Downloads) This content would be ONLY visible to it's author and not just "hidden" - except where posting permission is required then admin /mod could pre approve the embargoed content so that it can go live as specified.

Hi Invision Analytics needs exploring and having a dashboard/widget provided where data can be manipulated and viewed based on the admins' analytics requests would be great! At present I am extracting the data that I want, but have to apply filters and play around with the data to get the figures that I want in Microsoft Excel - which is quite time consuming to do every month. If the dashboard can be created in the AdminCP area, with the widgets I want set-up so then the data can be refreshed easily based on the date range I require. Hello, I've recently started using the promotion feature, however I have noticed a slight quirk based on how embedded images are hosted. If the images are uploaded to either gallery or as an attachment, the promotion feature uses these images as one would expect. If the images are hosted remotely, and the software is set to proxy the images, these images are not used and one must be added manually. This leads to an inconsistent experience for end users who wish to use this feature. Thanks ?

In 4.3 button "Quote selection" always appears in the beginning of selected text, so we forced to make extra mouse move. It's very inconvenient. In previous versions it appeared near the cursor.

Translating IPS is no fun at all. Mostly because you use so many placeholders for phrases. I know that these are meant to be helpful, they should reduce the amount of phrases that are being used within the software. However I'd rather prefer to translate 20k individual phrases than only ~800, which cause serious issues due to all those placeholders. Also, there are serious issues when it comes to languages that work differently than English regarding grammar, regarding the way word are being placed within a sentence, regarding grammatical genders etc. Or here: This is another great example where placeholders cause issues: How does that even make sense? After being involved in some troubleshooting via the Support button, enabling/disabling all customisations etc. etc., I find that once again my custom Editor buttons have been ye toasted. So what about an option to save a current configuration of buttons (separators, toolbars etc.) so they can be reloaded in case something like this happens? Complete with notifications if some buttons in the saved configuration are missing and need to be uploaded/replaced? That could potentially save a lot of admin time, particularly for those of us who focus on writing and documents have a specific editor configuration set up for that purpose. I really miss the ability to add a caption to images I insert in articles. Sometimes you want to add a description or comment to a photo you add to an article but there is no such option. It would be great, if there was an option to "attach" some text to the inserted image. The newspapers and most online news outlets have this and it's really something that would add to the Pages appeal.

Just wanted to say thanks....(no, not even sarcastic!) I've never had to troubleshoot a major time-sensitive issue on my site until just recently, while trying to run the final stretch in preparing my site for business promotion. I have a fair bit of 3rd-party apps and plugins on my site (more than some, fewer than others!). Hi there, Here on Invision Community it seems you can have a very long topic title if you hold down your mouse button on the topic title, it will truncate to around 250 characters. But if you then edit the post and try to save it, you get a 60 character limit error: I'm not sure if this is a bug or not. Also, I could not find a way to make this pop-up (it's very nice!) appear in normal circumstances. Because the max text limit of the title field is 60 characters, it only overflowed when I did the very long topic title before reaching the edit screen.
