Please adopt facebook style user profile pages.

Profile posts need reworked, people are not using it right and it is clunky and outdated

Speaking from my experience on vBulletin, which had a similar function, some people think it's kind like a personal message system.

for example right this second...

None of them are "Status Updates" they are clunky "Profile Posts"

a "Status Update" is if i wanted everyone to know..... Im going to the movies! 

That's a Status Update

Thousands of members on my site and NO ONE uses it like that , its always a Public conversation medium 

I should not be able to post on someones profile as to what their "Status Update" is how the heck should i know?

Its ok to reply to a "status update" like ... What Movie are you going to?

But that should all be inline 

The entire system is not set up and implemented the way it needs to be

 

 

It looks like you are using one of the advanced status update widgets and you can actually turn those off for your widget to keep profile comments off of your index page.
