I imagine if we can have a forum main page like this, not so beautiful? And show these forums by last activity, so the forum most actived will stay up, more easy interaction, and avoiding alway the same face, because will be changed by last activity, true not boring... @Heosforo

Hi, It would really be a good idea to make the report post link more visible. Until you mouse over the post, the report link cannot be seen. I'm having quite a few problems on my forum at the moment and want to stamp it out and one or two members have said they were not aware they could report posts. Luckily the theme developer we bought our theme from has helped us achieve this, so really this is just a recommendation to consider, especially if people run heated forums.

I need to be able to *not* export folks who have been banned from the forums since I use the export function as a means to add folks to the email list. Now there is no way to tell who has been banned when I export the members as a spreadsheet.

Hi there, I would love to be able to filter / search by app while translating in the AdminCP. Right now we can only search for the languages and the key. I came across the following problem many times now: While translating a plugin or an application I thought I covered all the strings only to find out that I missed some because they had a slightly different key. So it would be great if we could just search for the name of the app and have every string available for translation then. We already have the "app" column so why not use it? Best regards, Phil

IPS need a image resizing feature for set up website purpose, like below scene, how I can setup for don't need work on additional images then upload it? I mean members should have facility take a picture with their highest resolution camera, because that is the trending, need a image? Take a photo with your phone and upload. This resizing feature can disable for gallery because maybe need to host the images like that are. @Spanner

This is a simple feature that other forums have. Is there a way to do it? It would be nice to have this without jumping over hoops with CSS. For small forums, removing the view count display is advantageous. View count exposes traffic/reader numbers without giving any tangible benefit to the site owners. If someone can share how they did it, I would appreciate. Thanks.

Hi, We're trying to detect "really active" members of our community in order to try to reward them. The best way (in our minds) could be some kind of "dynamic group" where the "really active" members may be in. In our idea, the "really active" members are the members that have posted a certain amount of posts in a recent period of time and in specific sections of the community/forum. The purpose is to encourage valuable participation by rewarding it, dynamically. I don't know if it is clear, but the key (for us) is the identification of such members : the automatic promotion system does not allow such fine search. So if anyone has some clues about how…

While searching on another IPS forum I wanted to learn more about a particular thing, a theme, that was mentioned in a post. I knew that the theme title existed in multiple topics and so wanted to search about and see all the topics that mention it. When this happens, as it often does for many I imagine, the norm is to copy/paste the keywords into the search field and proceed to search. Now that I've realized that highlighted text can be quoted... copy/pasting in order to search seems a bit redundant. When we highlight text in a post we see a small helpful "Quote selection" box. Could we add to that box "Search selection"? That would be nice. 🙂

Hello there, as I have 230.000+ images on my board posted by members, they want to have option to select SOME images at once (to delete, or to move them in other folder). Deleting images one-by-one is a pain! Second thing - why not allow members to create subdirectories in their album structure?... Its a MUST thing also. And las about galleries - when user attaching image from existing albums, why he can't select the album from where select image, if I have 1000 pics, finding picture to select is problematic. Thanks.

Every time it makes me insane if I am in a topic and the notification "X has replied. Show reply" and clicking onto it, the new post loads but it doesn't jumps to the new reply. My suggestion, make it work like it should, jump to the new message if clicking the button. show-reply.mp4

I'm in the process of adding support in my apps for the RabbitMQ message broker to separate admin tasks (that may be performed asynchronously) from the app's front-end. RabbitMQ implements the AMQP 0-9-1 messaging protocol (with other protocols supported via rabbitmq-plugin). This is turning out to be quite nice. Just like ICS4 added support for Redis database cacheing, I would like to see the next version of ICS4 add support for AMQP 0-9-1 asynchronous message passing to backend admin tasks. For example, it would be better if handling emails in and out of ICS4 where done through RabbitMQ to start with. The parameters for an outgoing email message could be queue…

just wondering as at the moment I'm having to use wordpress as a landing page due to the ugly and simple layout you can only get with ips pages obvious other people with coding and the ability to create an HTML or something along those lines is fine I'm just hoping and suggesting that there is some improvement to the page builder or maybe make something like wpbakery where you can drag-drop create rows ect

Fluid view shows the topic creator’s avatar but I’d like the option to show the avatar and/or name of the last updating poster as well. Many of my topics are active for months. Who last updated it is more important than who started it. Is anyone familiar with a plugin to address this? Appreciate it!

I continue to be frustrated with the UX for the current profile photo cropper, especially if using circular profile photos. Please consider upgrading to using https://foliotek.github.io/Croppie/ or something with an equally easy to use UI for circular photo cropping. I really like the slider to adjust image size and the way you adjust the underlying photo to appear within the circle. This way, there would be no surprises when a rectangular crop ends up being shown as a circular profile photo. You should be able to support either rectangular or circular photo cropping using Croppie JS.

Hello there, I have some concerns about how YouTube videos are embedded by the software. For a proper privacy policy (at least in germany) you should add that you use the service of YouTube only with an extended privacy policy. YouTube has a function for this while sharing videos: the link changes from youtube.com to youtube-nocookies.com when you tick the checkbox "extended privacy policy". Without this YouTube will generate a cookie for a visitor just by visiting the site where a video is embedded. The user does not have to click on the video or watch it. There are a lot of options for how you can sort forum topics, but one more option that would be useful would be sorting topics by whether they're featured or not. Is this something that could be added to the software in the near future? Thanks!

Hi, Short opinion about CSS Framework. In my opinion IPS CSS Framework is outdated, some lines of code is very complicated and unfriendly for developers. And now is coded for desktop and additionaly support mobile, no "mobile first". Please start using flexbox or new css grid system. Best regards, Martin

For those that have iPhones you will be aware of the tips app that is pre installed, when you’ve setup your shiny new phone you receive occasional notifications on how to use the phone. Wouldn’t it be nice if IPS had a similar system for the forums now that FAQ pages are a thing of the past, we just expect users to know how to use the forum. What about forum virgins dipping their toes into online communities for the first time? When new members register, for the first week, two or month they receive tips in their notifications..... Sorry to say but I feel the IPS Gallery is the biggest piece of junk I have used in terms of a Gallery and it needs to be made better URGENTLY. It seems the only way to add a description is to: 1. first upload an image and save it, 2. then go to the saved image in the gallery open it up again, 3. select Edit using the cog wheel top right, 4. and then you can add your description and save it again How silly is that and makes it very frustrating to users and in fact since moving over to IPS from XF my users have stopped adding images to the gallery.
