It would be nice to have this without jumping over hoops with CSS. For small forums, removing the view count display is advantageous. View count exposes traffic/reader numbers without giving any tangible benefit to the site owners. If someone can share how they did it, I would appreciate. Thanks. The only way to do it currently is through a template edit. Seeing the fact that you do not want to do it that way, you can put in a request at the request forum to have it made as a plugin.
