This week I've been trying to implement the built in referrals feature from IPS and I just keep coming across limitation after limitation. It begs the question; does any one actually use this... So, another improvement I would like to suggest is that you add the option to allow referrers to earn commission on renewals of a product and not just the initial sale. Sadly, these limitations are stacking up and I may have to go ahead and build my own system 😕

I launched Clubs to my community this week. Some quick feedback: When a person joins a Club, there should be a mechanism to allow them to get their groups changed (ie, get a secondary group assigned to them) Likewise, when a person leaves a club, they should lose that group label. There should be a way to Bulk Mail members of one or more Clubs. It would be nice if Clubs had the option of adding a public forum, and a private (members-only forum). Right now you can't have both, as the visibility of the forum depends on the visibility of the Club itself. The use case is that some of our Open Clubs would like a public-facing board, and then a private…

I understand that IPB has decreased the parameters of the admincp to the maximum in recent years. This has the advantage that the admincp is lighter and easier to use. Also it can make it possible to know that each parameter if it is there is that it has its importance and its utility. But it seems to me that there is a lack of parameters that make it easier to grant rights (or restrictions), between a single member and a client member, to differentiate the visual that is given between two members according to their profile (student / teacher for example). Its a pain in the butt buying them 1by1 and then manually approving them , then posting the codes somewhere else.. Is there a faster way to do this ? Or is there any plug in that allows us to create codes to recharge customers account balances. ?

In my community we use IP.Gallery and Downloads but mostly Gallery, and I noticed that in downloads when I upload multiple items I am allowed to rename, them give them individual tags etc. However in Gallery when I upload many images, I can only add the same tag to all images, add credit to all images etc. Is it possible in an update, when you upload images in Gallery we can decide the name of the image, the individual tags for each image, and so on? Since It's possible in downloads

Two suggestions: Make it possible to edit the taglist like in version 3.x. Like it is now it's not possible to insert new tags, only append them. An option to let members add tags to all existing topics. (We had 60k topics when tags were added to IPB, around 50% of the current number.)

There is currently no option to search for member posts in topic, so I would like to request that this feature be added. It would be nice to have this when you want to find your own or other users posts in a large topic.

This was a valuable feature. It has disappeared. I used to download pm threads that were sensitive, for potential legal defense and also to trace complex situations. Please reinstate this feature. Download to a compressed file would be fine.

In IPB 3.4.x my community members could import the RSS, or iCal feed to their Google calendar - and use the IPB calendar as "overlay" they could turn on or off on their own calendar. Since IPB4.x they are not able to do the same with either RSS or iCal. Both give import errors. Would like to see both of these functions fixed so they will work with the very popular Google calendar.

Hello, I have to manage around the 30 groups, is not easy-to-use open each group setting to set permissions for an app or forum, please is possible give us ability to see the each apps and forums permissions from group? E. G. Open administrator group and from there can see how is set up permissions in each forums, clubs and apps. Avoiding have to enter to each forum (20 forums and subforums) and app to check if the group have the permissions set up correctly.

sometimes we may have to publish an article or message in a hurry but with a little retribution by rereading it we find improvements. It is then that we are led to modify it online, re-read it several times and these numbers of displays are taken into account. Should not we ignore some display? (those of the author of the message, those made within 24 hours or so limit the number counted to 3 per 24h for example ...)

Hello, I know we have Inbox for more control of privacy of conversation, but all of we platform work is centered around forums style. Right now our communication structure are separate forums and inbox, is possible insert the advantage of inbox into the forums style administration? If give us this communication centered under the forums style administration, is very helpful for team work and we don't have to say to our members, for these reasons use forums and use inbox for others reasons, this make our forum site more powerful to administrate apart of topics, at the sametime more control of privacy in the topics under forums. Normally we read a topic is because we interested in their type of content, but not for reason because is an Unread topic. So we can say in most cases go to Next Unread Topic is not what we want, at least because I don't see what is the topic name. Go to topic listing, I think is better have there a go to back page button, because normally we are surfing in the topic list page, the page contains maybe more than one title what are my interested content for read, so the need after finish reading the topic is go to back the page and choose the other title interested.
